This is very true. I remember a storm last year where they said we were only supposed to get 2" and we ended up with atleast 10"!

Too true. My house is less than a mile from the lake, so if anyone gets it, it's me.

My house, too, is about a half mile from the Lake...I'm right there with ya!

With us though, it really depends on how westerly the wind is. If it's more North or northwest, that's when we get the snow.

Usually, by the end of December, Lake Erie/Sandusky Bay freezes over.

Open water = lots of lake effect.
