A pet peeve I had today is more and more of my vacation expenses are getting allocated to boarding the dogs (hence a PET peeve). $315 for 3 nights and minor medications. Add on to that the mutt that is not wanted cost another $185 for the initial exam and round of shots. It is getting past ridiculous. I will get him back though when I take him to get snipped in a couple of weeks. He is totally oblivious to what he is in for.

That's why we like cats. Give 'em enough food and water for the week and you don't need to bother with boarding. Add a person that's willing to stop by every couple of days to refill dishes and make sure they're not dead and you're golden!

One was a Christmas gift from my parents one year and the other was for being a groomsman in one of my best friends weddings.

I'm very excited to see Barry get this recognition. He was a great player and a great role model. I grew up wearing number 11 in all my years playing little league because of him.

Those were some fun teams with Barry, Chris Sabo and Hal Morris!

I became a Red Sox fan when I was very little... The local library had a summer reading program I went to and the only book about baseball was one about the Red Sox... Fell in love with the history and never looked back!

We’ve got a fairly extensive network of members with some relatively strategic locations. Getting permission from our wives to offer such accommodations might be a sticking point, but it’s still not a “completely” crazy idea.

If anyone's looking for a place to crash in the Kansas City area, we've got a spare bedroom (I just need enough advance notice to get The Bug's stuff cleaned up out of there). It's about 1/2 hour from downtown.

I guess I'm spoiled by the fact that WDW is open all year long. Cedar Point has NO information for the 2012 season yet. Can't buy ticket... can't book a room at their hotels... NOTHING. All it says is come back sometime in February... they MIGHT have something then.

Have you checked their facebook page? I think I saw something on there not long ago.

Christopher, Congratulations on your 12,000 post! I laughed when I read on how many of your post were pictures. I have been re-reading DDC 1 and when you had joined, you asked what was the best photo service to use, because you wanted to start posting pictures! I guess you learned well. it is Good to be in this club with you.

The wife and I switched from BB to iPhone and it's like going from black and white tv to a big ole HDTV flatscreen (ease of use, features, etc). Be sure to get applecare if you get it, they cover cracked screens, etc.

Check out amazon or buy.com for accessories regardless of what you get, they are cheap and just as good as the ones in the stores. I worked for a wireless provider in college and the markup on chargers/cases/screenprotectors is insane!! I remember the invoice sheet would have the cost of $3.00 for a leather case and the retail would be $30.00
