As I've said many times before, the only reason I come to work is so I can pay for the next vacation.

Been a while since I checked in here, and I'm sure I missed quite a bit of...well, something. Hope everyone is doing ok. 6:00 a.m. sure felt a lot earlier this morning.

Enjoyed time with the family across the past several days, so I’ve missed much.
I think I’ll just start off right here and read back later on.

I imagine we'll see a lot more traffic on the DIS now that most Dads are back to work!

Morning DisDads! Winter has finally arrived in western PA. Snowy and a high of 20 today. It's about time.

Winter arrived down this way as well. It’s rarely the severity the most of y’all deal with, but with a high well under 40 and an expected low or 18 tonight… it’s what we might call chilly. On the up side, there’s no precipitation in sight. The odd thing for us is a very un-normal lack of humidity. The cold doesn’t seem as harsh as normal and the air feels odd. I’m use to being able to feel the air around me, but this stuff is very strange… it’s like the air ain’t there.

As the holiday wears off I will be on the road again, so my days of working from home with the boards open in a seprate window will be fewer. I will have to concede this one, but I don't like losing

In some of the larger cities you can see the air, but down here you can feel it. It’s like a blanket that’s always draped across you. I’ve been around the stuff so long that I notice when it’s gone. The last time I encountered humidity this low was a week I spent in Colorado on business. I had to remember to keep drinking water all day or my head was killing me by dinner time.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with the bathroom. Spent just about every waking moment during the holiday break working on that thing. Took time off for Christmas and DD's birthday. Tongiht is final sanding of the drywall and possibly putting up some paint. Should be done, done by the end of the week. Will definitely share pics when I have time to process them.

One thing I can say... it's not a fancy bathroom. No tile work or anything. Just the basics. but still cool making something from nothing!

I'm going to need a vacation after this is all done! I've had several folks asking for my services after they see what's been going on!
