Triple Survival Sleepover Ownage

I am having coffee on the balcony and I have to say its awesome. We are heading to HS after lunch. We are going to enjoy the resort this morning while we wait for the scooter to be delivered along with the top secret b-day cake for my SIL and MIL.

I'll get some pics up later. Have a great one guys :woohoo:

Good morning guys.

Right now I'm at St. Pete Beach. In about 24 hours we'll be heading up I-4 to check in at Wilderness Lodge.

Other than being really jealous, have a great trip. Both are great resorts.

I survived the sleepover. Thanks for the thinking of me. I don't get the whole sleepover idea - must be a girl thing. On 2nd thoughts, i might like the house invasion thing with a DISdad near WDW. Better watch out - I'm mobilizing the family .........

Don't worry bout hurting my feelings - please answer honestly.

I'm interested in signing up.

However, I don't want to burden someone with the (potentially) increased shipping costs to Canada.

Thoughts (as a group) - tell me honestly, if you found you got twokids0204 as your gift exchange partner - would you be grumbling under your breath and grinding your teeth?

Why would it be an issue, the added shipping is not that bad. Now if you were in Europe or the Mid-East, maybe.

"American" bacon?? Is that like that "beer" you Americans make? ;)

HI MIKE!!!!
first off i hope things are going well for dw.i hope the treatments are going well and starting to kick in. still thinking and praying for you guys! :thumbsup2 ok, back to football.:lmao:
first, :sad::sad:
what mike failed to mention, his 3 games in 8 days didnt stop is mighty bulldogs the last two years when they won the district championship.his thanksgiving day game, they blew out there arch rivals and had the scrubs in by the second half.:lmao:
this is also the second time these two teams played this years, and yes, his mighty bulldogs lost both times. :lmao:
wait for it, wait for it..............................
here it comes...........................

easton had to play nazareth in nazareth ( league champs get home field advantage) and nazareth plays on the turf not on the grass. :lmao:

OK! I gave credit to the Blue Eagles and they deserve it! They are quick and play good "D". However, I still believe Easton won't make it deep into the playoffs due to the T-Day game each year. They prepare for P'burg all week and then have one day to prepare for the Dist. 11 championship game. It is their choice, though, and they have done well in the past. All I can say is........Wait 'til next year!!!!!! Go Rovers!

As for my DW......She is having mixed results, so far. She will receive her 25th and final radiation treatment tomorrow. So far, we can't say we're seeing any great changes, although she does seem to have more energy and less pain. She is able to do more around the house, but only small things for short periods of time. The numbness she has been experiencing in her legs and feet is now spreading up her back, which is very discouraging for her. And, I'm not even going to go into the mental aspect of all this. Since the radiation apparently works for 4-6 weeks after the final treatment, she probably won't be getting an MRI until mid-January. Until then, we won't have any idea of what is going on with the tumor, if anything. We're also trying to be hopeful the radiation isn't doing any irreversible damage to her spinal cord, as the tumor has caused enough problems already. In some ways, she seemed better when she first got home after surgery in August and we can't seem to get any good explanations as to why she has the numbness and if it will be permanent or not. We're trying to be patient but it's not easy.

David is coming home the week before Christmas for 7 days and he will be bringing your Blues' flag with him. Let me know if you'd like me to get the Rovers to autograph it for you! :lmao:
Oh yeah......isn't Easton's coach a former Blue Eagle? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Well, I'm either being rewarded or punished. Sitting in the hotel room with the kid while he naps so DW can go lay out on the beach. She seemed mad about something, but I'm sitting here in peace and quiet drinking a beer and watching football while the kid sleeps so I'm not too concerned about it.:lmao: Beautiful day on the gulf coast. Warmer than yesterday. DS and I were out in the water this morning. It was cold, but really didn't feel too bad once we got out in it.

Glad you made it out alive. I guess that means phone calls were as far as they got and they didn't bring out the battering ram.:lmao::rotfl2:

I'd grumble and be ticked if I got you, but it has nothing to do with the shipping costs.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
Honestly, I think I'm going to sit the gift exchange out. I think it's a great idea for the guys who want to participate, but I've already got enough organizations and family events where it isn't optional.:rotfl2:

Nice Andy! Thanks for really making me jealous....but really, have a great time!
Glad to be of service! I'm always jealous of everybody else's trips, so if I can return the favor on my one trip every 4 years or so, I'm more than happy to do so!:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

:lmao: yup, 1969 grad !! you can have him. :lmao:
i have to say, easton kids are a class act.win or lose:thumbsup2
for your dw, its hard just waiting for something to happen. from what we have learned, effects from radiation treatments can take awhile. good or bad. tammys tumor was still shrinking a year after her treatment. a year after her treatment the spot on her brain showed up. which is a side effect of the radiation. this spot can get bigger, get smaller and maybe go away or just stay there the rest of her life. i guess the way you have to look at it is what or how would she be without the treatment? we thought the same way, get the treatment, 2 weeks its gone, dont have to come back again. it took almost six months for the radiation to really impact her tumor that you could see on an mri. than, the next month, it shrank like crazy. dont give up buddy!! give it some time. :thumbsup2
flag is coming home soon? :woohoo:

NFL Sunday football 4th consecutive ownage.

I knew this Sunday picks were going to be difficult. I haven't picked an Eagles, Cowboys, or Browns game correctly this season. TN runs back a kickoff and Houston spots Jax a TD on turnover. My back is starting to feel better. Rest & heating pad have done the trick.

i was on youtube this afternoon. i have no idea how i stumbled on this but i had to laugh. i think over the years this topic has come up on the main thread and on some trip reports. we have come up with ideas on how to handle kids in this situation. i am NOT a fan of the archie bunker character. but i thought this was funny and it is about disney!!!! there niece stephanie didnt want to go to disney land and they were leaving for the airport:
