My brother spends a lot of time in Phuket, Thailand. I had to inform him of the proper pronunciation. In English, "Ph" makes and F sound. And the "uk" is pronounced as you would in the word "buck". And of course, "et" is pronounced "it".

I just found out my dad has prostate cancer.

Sorry to hear that. Prayers for your family.

We just found out a few weeks ago that my FIL has prostate cancer. The tests confirm it has not spread, and they will do radiation in January.

Glad to hear his has not spread....we won't know with my Dad's until they order the tests tomorrow.

Thankfully it's a slow growing cancer and treatable.

I know there is a lot of football to go yet but it is what it is, and with two more wins and Chicago, Detroit, and San Fran losing one of their next games the Packers will have the division, homefield adv., and first round bye.

Yep, I still feel that way. I have it on good authority that they will lose in the second round of the playoffs (their first game, considering they will have a bye week.) You heard it here first!

Just checking in to say hello. Attempted to do some christmas shopping while DD was at preschool, but ran into problems. I did manage to buy things that weren't on the list, though! When is DW going to learn not to send me?!?!?

Now it's lunchtime for DS. DD has busted out the christmas DVDs and is having a Rankin-Bass marathon. When DS goes down for a nap, it will be time to perform more surgical procedures on my ailing snowmen and reindeer.
