I know. I am trying to catch Doc, one post at a time :lmao:

Well we have sound again. Thanks guys for the help. My kids really appreciate you :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Can any of you guys fix the check engine light, too? I've tried black tape, but DW can still see the light shining through

And you appreciate the TV to keep them calm. It's not that anything has to be on the TV, just that it is spitting picture and noise. Sad world we live in.

It was funny to watch them stare at Phineas and Ferb with no sound :lmao:

Norm, I'm not trying to say that families shouldn't come, just that with all the organization/planning that is involved in bringing families, it'd probably be too optimistic to expect large numbers of families to attend. Certainly I'd have a really hard time changing my Disney planning (which goes out years in advance) to fit this in. Others may have this problem as well.

I think that getting this started will be the hardest part. In future years, it'll be easier.

I'm fine with planning it for future consideration. You have a good list already going for Jan 2013 and I wouldn't ask you to change it. And, I agree that the weekend should be Dads only convention. We are booked for the Dream in October 2013 (thanks Aaron), so I get the planning piece. For those dads that can only go with families and/or when school is out, they are automatically excluded.

What are the dates for your cruise? Is it a 3 or 4 day?

Man.... A week off at home and you would think I would keep up with this. I am so far behind I don't know where i last was. Going to have to go back to work to get caught back up on here.:rotfl2:

And 27 days till I go to the world. Lets not forget that.

Am a bit worried about the weather. We have not had any snow yet and I am afraid we will get that big winter blast when we get ready to go. Fingers are crossed. And to top that fear I had a dream our plane lost an engine and we had to go back and make an emergency landing. :scared1:

Oh well. Can't control the future. It is what it is.

Better get working on my TR but looks like that is going to have to wait also. Wife is calling. Later guys.

Doc, if you have an Autozone near you, they will scant for free.

But they will just tell you what the code says, which may or may not be the solution. I took my van there (the light comes on every year in the winter for 5 years now) and they told me it was a bad thermostat sensor(?). I had a friend who would have replaced it for free, minus the part and beer charge.

However, when I took it to a mechanic (with a business) I know for a second opinion from Autozone, they said that the code could mean that or a whole other host of issues. He took it to a catalytic converter guy who said that it could be that, or a computer issue that the dealer could re-set (as only the dealers have the ability to do that) and it would turn the light off, but he could find nothing wrong with the van.

All of this was no charge - good to live in a small town and either drink or be related to a lot of people. Now, I get my oil changed and tires through him, so I guess it's not free.

When I called the Dodge dealership, there was the immediate fee to hook it up plus the labor charge. I said no thanks.

I was told that if it is running and not smoking, smelling, or banging, then keep driving it. If the performance changes noticeably - gas mileage, gear shifting, acceleration, etc., then that with the check engine light indicates a problem. It has served me well for several years now. It will be 10 years old with 200,000 miles.

You are correct :thumbsup2

Fine with this plan!

I haven't been able to keep up with myself in years now. At least I am winning.

Our autozone use to reset them but the dealerships had a fit so they are no longer allowed to do that. Ours came on the first time was for a sensor that later found out wasn't bad, and then some how we lost the gas cap and that caused it to come on also. They said if you don't have a good seal (or no seal in our case) it will cause it to read as an emission issue. TOO MUCH ELECTRONIC CRAP IMHO. Give me a 4 barrel that I can set any day over fuel injection.

We might end up being on the same cruise! Is it the Fantasy?

No, we are Dream. Maybe I can wave to you as the boat leaves? Have you thought about staying at WDW as well? We were thinking of staying the Sat night and drive over to Canaveral Sun morning. We may stay that Thursday night and drive back on Friday. Problem is, I'm not sure how much park time we would get, so we may or may not. BTW, did you decide on DVC?

My first car was a Model T. I'm not mechanical by any means and even I could fix that.

I wasn't sure what boat that date was for, so we may still be on the same one. We thought of doing a couple of days after the cruise to relax with one or two days in the park.

I have been looking at the listings over at the timeshare store. I would like to get about 160 points. I would also like to save up enough where I can pay for at least half and then finance the rest.
