I see that i have moved from 5th passing David into 4th and closing in on my nemesis!:rotfl2:

By Monday morning, I'll be way ahead (plus caught up to your post total)!

We were going to do Hawaii in 2013 for our 10th Anniversery, but like I said you might only get me on a plane once, so might as well get it all in:confused3

Not looking forward to the price tag (I'm sure I would be able to buy a nice new car for how much this is going to cost:scared1:)

In the trivia about things people don't know about you, I easily win with I've been in more airplanes than most everyone. Of course, I worked for UPS on the ramp unloading the planes and got to crawl inside them. I have only been a plane passenger as few times, the longest trip from NY to Amsterdam.

You could do a dozen really nice dis dads weekends for the cost of a Hawaii trip!

The cost of leaving my children and DW behind would be much higher. I would rather buy more BLT points, but will do an Aulani trip after dds are out of the house, maybe 25th anniversary.

Ron my first ever plane ride was to Hawaii on our honeymoon in 2000...it was a white knuckle ride for me the whole way....now...it is the only way to go LOL

I just went to Hawaii. Work payed but it cost $1000 for just the flight for me!

I promised my wife and son we would do it, so I'll have do what I have to do (I'm going to be like Mr T on a plane, or someone Medusa turned to stone) but I'll just have to suck it in:scared1:

Stoppin Doc page ownage.

Is Doc trying for ownage again?

How about now?

Final random thoughts.

Dal at Okc has been a good game.
The 12 days of NBA song has been a great commercial.
Kate Beckinsale is back for a new Underworld movie.
My battery is getting low, so it's time to sign off. Good night.

That's about the time I stopped listening. Bob was the glue that held it all together. I was in WDW when he passed.

Glad you checked in, Mike! Been a little while. Our decorations were officially put away yesterday... and is the earliest for us as well. I called DW a grinch for putting away our decorations so soon! :lmao:

Felt really bad putting them away, but glad to have my recliner back.

Looks like quite a few Dads going to be at WDW in the next week or so. I'm jealous, but I couldn't run unless something big and hungry was chasing me. Not sure that I would make it even then...

Good luck to the runners!

My folks are doing a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise of Hawaii in two weeks.

They are not Disney people...

I am sure they will have a blast though.

it's been several years, but they don't stink that bad at 4 months, do they?

I thought they got worse as they went with more solid food. On non-sleepover nights, I've taught my dds to fart on others. Those can get quite smelly, but a lit less work.

Stink isn't the problem, more the overall mess he creates. For a little kid he creates quite the s&*t storm, metaphorically speaking! :rotfl:

GAH! Your parents will just miss my brother and sister-in-law performing on that cruise by about two months. They just finished a four-month contract performing for Second City on that ship cruising Hawaii.

DW had a great idea for a reward system for us losing weight. If we keep up good progress towards meeting our goals weights (myself, DW, and DS), we will go to Disneyland this summer! That is a great motivator to me!

The kicker - we will be driving! I have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon and do a long family vacation road trip. We decided the kids are old enough now and we have plenty to keep them busy on the the drive (between DVD players, iPods, InnoPads, books, etc.) We will leave on a either late Friday night or very early Saturday morning; spend two days to drive there; spend Mon - Fri between Disneyland, DCA, Legoland, and San Diego Zoo; then drive back on the weekend. Well, that is the initial plan. I will need to start more extensive research on routes/plans. Suggestions welcome. :)

I am skipping ahead to post this, I do not know if this has been talked about. San Diego zoo is not a day trip from Anaheim. If you decide to go there, you should spend the night. If you leave from there, you can drive out I-8 and meet up with I-10 somewhere.

Do you plan on long drives (10 or 11 hours drive time) or are you planning on keeping around 8? If you are up for it, it is only about 24 of driving, and there is not a lot to see on the route, trust me.

I missed too many pages because we took the DD's zip lining this morning. The place is about 2 hours north of here and after the time spent there, the drive there and back, plus traffic, we decided to eat a late lunch (4:30) in Seattle. If I get a chance I will go back and ketchup (sorry, this is a reference to a EB PC cruise). I posted a video on Facebook and if it uploads soon I will post a link to the YouTube upload. Now I am beat.

BTW, we had a great time.:thumbsup2

To be #1, do you have to be full of #2?

Yes, which is why it doesn't matter which one of us is at the top :lmao:

Just popping in to vent: All right my lazy in-laws, after I bought the food & my DW cooked this fabulous dinner, get up off your butts & help clean up!!!

Ok, back to the banter...

And Steve & David, not a chance!

We'll see about that :thumbsup2

:confused3 I think it's built in, we got a apple iMac:good vibes
I got to go to a few classes to get the hang off it:lmao:

Welcome tothe wonderful world of Apple :cool1:

See revenge post.

Actually, this year was the best. We've tried driving everywhere and having everyone over to our house and neither worked. Again, my opinion was that if we NEVER see these people throughout the year, then why make it a priority to see them on the holidays.

So, DW let me implement plan B. Plan A was to go to WDW. Plan B was me to visit my forgotten parents and crazy aunt with the children a few days before. The dds and I had a great time at Cheesecake Factory in between crazy relative visits. On Christmas eve, we spent with DW's dad, his sister, and all the relatives - no negotiation. We went to mass that night. On Christmas Day, the 4 of us spent the day together until around 4, when we made a brief stop at DW's mom for a visit. There was much less stress and the day went well.

I know this family obligation thing has been passed down generations, but maybe it is time to start something new, and spend the holidays with people you like as opposed to those who share some chromosomes by marriage.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
