DDA's New Year's Weight Loss accountability Thread

Enabler Alert

For all of you that need new clothes (due to your slimming waist lines of course ;) ) Our Kohl's reduced the gold star clearance items to 70% off the clearance price. Red tag items are $1. I was able to buy 7 complete outfits for my oldest son, 5 pr of pants, 4 shirt and a skirt for myself, 2 shirts for Hunter, one for Colby and a pair of socks for $139. That is a good start on next years wardrobes for Nick anyway. I ran out of time so I'll have to go back later to see what I else I can find. I found 3 pairs of pants for myself for just $1 per pair :goodvibes

What a bargain! Wish we had a Kohls in town.

I just checked online & they are having the sale as well. Unfortunately alot that I wanted is sold out :(

I haven't checked online, but sometimes they have great deals there too!

Jennifer, maintaining is just as good. You didn't gain.

I suspect that I will be gaining. I broke the diet today and had pizza, garlic bread, mozerella sticks and cheese stuffed pretzels. I also had a brownie for dessert. Oh well, the kids wanted to celebrate and I need to live life as it happens. There is always next week.

Me too.:thumbsup2

I was down 3.8 pounds on Wednesday. However I had gained 2.4 pounds the last week, so I actually lost 1.4 pounds.

Don't beat yourself up for the bad choices, just move forward and make healthier choices in the future and get moving.:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Jennifer I agree with Deb, you did not gain so that is good!

I had pizza last night as well & it was so good. Do I feel guilty, a little.

Was it worth it, YES!

Well, I haven't lost any weight last week, but I weigh in on Monday. Hopefully I'm down at least another pound. Last week was hard, but I'm still motivated!

I am having a hard time with motivation right now...I have been sick the past couple of days & so haven't been on program cause veggies/fruit etc just didn't sound good to me. I have been a carb queen. :lmao:
I will get back on track as I have come too far to give it up over a few bad days.
Picking myself up, dusting myself off & moving on.
:fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

well on Sat TOM came so I am even more pleased that I maintained and did not gain water weight like I normally do. I think it is the less sodas
I have been trying to use the dalad plates for my plates to force myself to eat smaller portions.
I need to get motivated to start exercising.

I haven't been doing well this week. I'm not writing anything down and I have pretty much eaten what I wanted, when I wanted. Not good. Weigh in is today wo we'll see what happens. I'd be happy with maintaining, but won't be too upset with a gain.

I was no very excited about getting on the scale this morning, I just did not feel like I had done much this week. But to my surprise...........................

I am down 3 pounds, so I have made my 1st goal :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I don't know where the 10 pounds went, but I am glad they are gone! Keep up the great work everyone, without all of you I would have never done this.

Janet, that is WONDERFUL!!! Congratulations on making your first goal! We knew you could do it!!!! Keep it up, girl! Just imagine how fun Europe is going to be without those extra 10 pounds.

Thanks everyone, I am very happy about this! I have never been succesful before, every time I have lost weight it has been due to stress. I do not like to say I am on a diet, but that I am just being more aware of what I eat & how much.

I told Gary that I had met my goal for Europe & he was very happy for me. He asked me if I felt any different & said no, other than my pants not being as tight. He had a package sitting out that he was taking to be shipped. He told me to pick it up because it weighed 8 pounds & this would help me realize how much I had lost.

Now if I can just not gain to much while in Europe :rolleyes1

Congats Janet, great job!! 10 lbs is a very big accomplishment!

I am now down 5.5 lbs, it's coming off very slowly for me, but at least it's better than gaining.

Thanks Ellen & congratulations to you!

Hopefully I can get out my smaller pants soon.
