DDA Weight Loss Progress Thread

Ok gang....I am finally getting back in the groove starting this week.
I am :sad: to say that I gained back 10lbs over the last 3 months, so that is what made me wake up & smell the coffee & realize that if I don't get in gear I will be right back where I started.
I still have off 30 lbs of what I lost.

First goal: to get back off the 10lbs I have gained back
Overall goal: to loose another 45lbs which would about put me at the goal that I think I can reasonably attain.
Plan: Weight Watchers on-line
Excercise: The Firm 3 x a week

I have to loose 100 lb! I would like to be 150lbs...for the first time in my adult life! My weight fluctuates..but i have been about 245lb for the last few years...I loose a bit, put on a bit, then put on a bit more. But enough is enough!
I joined a local slimming group ( UK-Slimming World, large organisation over here...good sensible diet, advocates exercise, no gimmicks!) 3 weeks ago, I have since lost 5.5lb, not brilliant but a start! Finding motivation a bit thin on the ground, unlike me ofcourse:)
Need all the help i can get....and i spend alot of time on DIS...so..
 
My Goal:
Lose 30 lbs by my WDW trip - that means about 2lbs a week

My Plan:
Exercise: Joined the YMCA for the next 3 months. Plan on doing aerobics combined with weight training. My goal is to go 4 to 5 times a week.

Diet: Weight Watchers Flexpoints ~but on my own without joining this time~ gotta save my $ for WDW!

Progress:
1/21/07: 162 lbs
1/28/07: 156.5 (-5.5)
2/04/07: 155.8 (-.7) total loss so far is 6.2 lbs
2/11/08:
2/18/08:
2/25/08:

I only lost .7 lbs this week, but hey it's still a loss. I did miss 2 days of excercise last week. I'm gonna shoot for 5 days of exercise this week! Hope to lose 2lbs by next Monday.

A little loss or no loss is better than a gain :thumbsup2

I only lost .7 lbs this week, but hey it's still a loss. I did miss 2 days of excercise last week. I'm gonna shoot for 5 days of exercise this week! Hope to lose 2lbs by next Monday.

Weighed in this morning--down 2 more pounds! :cool1:

That makes 12 since the beginning of January, but what I'm more proud of is that it means I am 47 pounds lighter than I was in January 2 years ago!!:banana:

Mara--hang in there--you're headed in the right direction! I still want to lose at least 75 more, so I'm right there with you. My goal for June is to hit the 35 pound mark. . .

I've been struggling with the diet this time around. I've been working on weight loss for 5 years now. I think I've become a little too comfortable with my weight fluctuating between 140 and 150 lbs which is still down about 50 pounds from where I started. I have noticed that I am getting heartburn again which is what happens when I gain. So yesterday I made some big changes. I cut way back on diet soda and am trying to get in my daily water. I also went back on my weight watcher's diet full force. So far so good. I am also limiting my computer time as I have let that take control of my life and I need to have more active time, even if it just means cleaning the house :rotfl: I'll weigh in next Tuesday as I don't really want to know what the scale says now :rolleyes1

I have the same problem with my GERD/heartburn Deb....the 10lbs I have gained back well I guess it's only 8 now that I lost 2 of it back have made a huge difference. I hate having heartburn so why do I gain the stupid weight back????????? Because it's so easy to do.

Good job getting back on track.

I had to do a late weigh in due to injury: 2-13 at Dr.'s office weighed 153 (hopefully that is as accurate as the YMCA's Scale)
total loss so far 9lbs ..................21 more pounds Hope my neck is feeling better and i can start excersising again soon!

I really did work hard last week and am glad to see that it paid off.

I lost a pound.

I've lost 40lbs. so far and have 110 to go to reach my final goal. I am taking my first Disney trip in Sept. I've set a goal for myself to lose 40 more pounds by then. I'm averaging 13 lbs each month. I'll need lots of luck and prayers to keep that up. lol Now that it's warmer, I plan to get out and walk more each day.
