Good morning all...Lucy's party was a lot of fun and she enjoyed being the center of attention! She had so much fun and loved interacting with everyone.

Robyn, those pictures are wonderful! Lucy really did look like she was having a fantastic time! I love the cakes, too!

It's all complete speculation right now. Some guy posted that he got a memo from his supervisor about them adding in appetizers and tips again, effective July 1 (as in Tuesday, not 2009) because of customer complaints. But NOBODY could come up with any sort of confirmation so the mods locked the thread. It does kind of remind me of the posts last year where people would talk about the union contracts and how the tips were being taken out, and that all turned out to be true. And then the CM told Bernadette there would be DDP for AP holders, and that was true, too! Every once in awhile the very early rumors do turn out to have at least some truth to them, so we'll see. I REALLY don't think they are going to add the tips back in mid-year because there really IS a clause about it in the union contracts now.

That would be wonderful (whenever they change it, now or just by 2009)!

Hi, everyone! The pictures are just adorable! I've had a great time browsing thru them all.

Survived VBS (despite BK and Davis having migraines/vomiting for a 2 days). Drove the kids to the grandparents this weekend and now DH and I are home by ourselves! Run the 10K Peachtree Rd Race Friday and have surgery on Tuesday. Today I'm studying for my nursing medication test that I need to take to go back to work.

We hit the Carters Store and I bought Noah a couple "firecracker" outfits since they were 70% off. Of course, this means he'll be a little stinker and arrive before the 4th!

What?! Where were they? We went to Carter's for preemie pants and I was dead set on buying Fourth of July outfits.... but saw none, in the entire store!

That's not anything you will see published. That is what we observed last time. I had one mom smart off at me about having an AP, so by my estimate she would be knocked out in Round 2. Well, she was! So there!
NOBODY who made it into the actual panel was anybody who would have super-advanced knowledge of Disney. I tipped my hand in my initial application and SAID I was an AP holder. People who didn't disclose that right off the bat got knocked out later on. I found the Round 2 questions very tedious, so I wouldn't have had any brilliant answers for them anyway.

Yeah..... I definitely made sure to mention at least once our AP/DVC status! Oh, well. Those contests are generally just annoying to me, because nobody I know is ever selected!

Is anyone doing anything exciting this weekend? (Well, besides you Amy! We know what you'll be doing! Did you pack your bag yet?)
ETA: Bob and I are going to go see Wall-e and the Incredible Hulk at the drive in on the 4th.

No big plans for us. We might just meet my family at the event in a neighboring suburb for fireworks, while the girls are too young to really be afraid of them

The bag is still only partially packed, but yesterday I:
-ran last minute errands to Target, Michaels, and Carters
-did three loads of laundry
-cleaned the half bath
-made dinner (we've been eating out a lot lately)
-caught up on thank you notes and got early July birthday cards out
-played with the Webkinz
-did the Hokey Pokey a few times
-read a few books (children's books, of course!)
-talked to my grandma, SIL, and two good friends
-pretreated all the stains on the bassinet
-picked up toys
-periodically checked for new posts on the thread

Apparently, gardening does not stand still when you don't log in for a period of time. I assumed that since you didn't come back from a hiatus to starving, sick animals, that the plants would just sort of freeze in time as well. I was so wrong, as evidenced by my moldy, disgusting crops that FILLED my entire garden/yard this morning after 2+ weeks away!

Well I just went to the Board of Education for the one job that I interviewed at. I went in to get Sub papers and while i was there, i asked about the prospects for september-----i did not get the job. The woman said that i did very well on y interview and there just werent enough positions..So im kinda bummed...Just wanted to let you guys know

I'm sorry Jen! I hope relaxing by the pool makes you feel a bit better... hang in there, the right job will come along!

A couple of things...

Lucy now has 3 teeth. Her top right side incisor broke through the gum today. Her left one is almost through too. But her front top teeth are nowhere to be found!

And I called Mo's dr in regards to her sleep study as I had not yet gotten the results. Her sleep study came back perfectly normal. Remember I said that she seemed to have a perfect night's sleep that night showing none of what normally happens when she sleeps. After much discussion we decided that we should have her tonsils and adenoids taken out anyway. She exhibits all of the symptoms of apnea. Her surgery will be done sometime in the next few weeks. Keep your fingers crossed that it will help.

I hope the surgery is exactly what Molly needs! Keep us posted on when she will go in!

What strange happenings on the boards yesterday! It was pretty funny to read people's responses before the posts they quoted!

We are all doing pretty well still. I haven't logged on a lot because Kyle was home all weekend (Friday-Sunday) and then I again felt like crap. I got a phone call from my doctor that should help though, it seems my anemia (which never, ever resolved during pregnancy and was significantly worse with a great deal of blood loss during the surgery) is still in full-force. Increasing my iron yet again should help in a week or so. Until then, I've just felt so out of it - especially during the days when I'm here by myself. I'm on day 4 or so of the increased dose, so hopefully I'll see results soon.

The girls are getting so big, I swear! It's amazing how much they can grow so quickly. We will likely take them in for a growth check when I have to go to that part of town for my OB follow-up next week. Our pediatrician, who was one of Kyle's preceptors, is "letting us" skip the 1 month appointment since nothing happens except a growth check anyway, and answering questions if parents have them. We appreciate it, since each double-visit is $50 a pop -- I hate paying copays when it feels like it's for nothing! I will be thrilled to see if Avery is growing well (Elise is, she just looks and feels like it without weighing her ) ... stretching night feeds, taking them out more often, etc will be fantastic!

Chanon - (Or anyone else) - What do you guys think about those rental car codes of questionable origin? I made a reservation with one that knocked $140 off my lowest offer. I figure if they say we can't use it when we get there that we'll just use the other reservation. OK, so not very ethical to hold 2 cars when we will only be taking one. I will also be watching the feedback on that code. If people are being turned down then I will cancel it before we get to WDW. Or we may just decide to deal with the buses and cancel the car anyway.

It is a National code. Since I have never been to the Dolphin to get a car I don't know if you CAN bypass the counter. If you can, then I will sign up through the Mousesavers link for free Emerald Club membership and attempt to bypass the counter.

Because we are doing ME to and from the airport. We don't want the car for the whole 16 nights, just for the part that we're at SSR.
I went ahead and did the Emerald Club thing, even though we may not rent a car at all. Easier to have it done and out of the way.

No. They don't. None of them. Okay maybe a few, but most don't. That would be why we mainly used cabs only for the airport so that Terra already had her carseat.

Today we went to Lexington and Concord. We took a 90 minute trolley tour that was very well done! The costumed guide did the entire spiel in first person so I felt as if I was really there with the minutemen and their families. Very enlightening.

No, but if you "finally" get fed up with that three hour schedule change, you do have the right to change days. Just ask Janet - her flight changed so much that she asked them to come in on the day before and they had no problem with that.

The last time there was such a major schedule change they did move us to an earlier flight even though I am flying on award miles. There was no problem at all that time. But, this past week when I called they refused to book us on a different flight from Atlanta to Orlando. We have a 2 hour layover there now. Today the itinerary has changed once again. I suppose I should be grateful that they have us on the same flights! But the flight numbers are changing as well as the times so we figure the best thing we can do is sit back and watch it all unfold for a while. I fear there are more changes in store before September. I don't think making a switch to September 23 will make matters any better. But Bob said he wishes it would work out that we could do it... I just don't see how.
