Jen -- sending lots of PD!

Andrew's team played two games last night and won them both, so the games in this tournament are over. It turns out, there were only three teams, and since we beat the other two our games are over. The other two teams play tonight for second place and to get to advance with us to the next division which is Sectionals. It starts on July 10th.

We didn't make it in until after 1 a.m., and I was back here at 6:45 this morning. I'm thrilled that we have no more games this week. Andrew still didn't get to play much -- a couple of innings of each game. I'm at a loss as to how to get his confidence up. He did fine in the field but struck out both times he batted.

Elin -- your pictures were gorgeous! It sounds like you are having a fabulous trip.

Tammi -- glad to see you're home. Any big plans for this week? Enjoy your time off!

Good morning everyone! Have a great day!
Congrats to Andrew and his team!

This week I would like to accomplish some de-cluttering. After seeing my parents go through my aunt/uncle's house after they died, and all the JUNK that they had accumulated, it makes me want to purge before I drop dead and leave it for someone else to rummage through. So I'm hoping to take some books and old vhs tapes to the library and then clean out my bedroom closet.

I HATE PACKING, I hate packing. I hate it, I tell ya!!

We are going away for 4 nights and it seems as if we always end up taking the entire house. :headache: I try to pack light but it never fails that I end up with way more than we actually use. I really need to go finish, but I don't wanna!

No whining! :headache:
March in there and pack. You are not going to a third world country, so anything you end up needing can be purchased at your destination. (This advice is NOT valid for WDW where a 3 oz. bottle of baby oil costs $4.)

Sorry to hear this Jen

Well I just went to the Board of Education for the one job that I interviewed at. I went in to get Sub papers and while i was there, i asked about the prospects for september-----i did not get the job. The woman said that i did very well on y interview and there just werent enough positions..So im kinda bummed...Just wanted to let you guys know

I am still wrestling with the rental car thing. We seem to be eligible for all sorts of things (AA, AAA, WalMart, whatever) but NONE of them are any better than any of the others. I guess I need to phone Sam's and ask them what the IDs for the rental car companies are. When I went through the Sam's travel website it was the same price as the rental car sites! :headache:

This is what we did before Gary started remolding. I could not believe all the stuff that we brought here from our other home & never used(some was still in boxes). So out the door it went to the curb or to Goodwill. Hopefully we can stay clutter free now!

I hope after the packing is done that you all enjoy your time away!

It's feels great to purge!!

I hope after the packing is done that you all enjoy your time away!

Thanks! The girls are bouncing all over the place with excitement.

A couple of things...

Lucy now has 3 teeth. Her top right side incisor broke through the gum today. Her left one is almost through too. But her front top teeth are nowhere to be found!

And I called Mo's dr in regards to her sleep study as I had not yet gotten the results. Her sleep study came back perfectly normal. Remember I said that she seemed to have a perfect night's sleep that night showing none of what normally happens when she sleeps. After much discussion we decided that we should have her tonsils and adenoids taken out anyway. She exhibits all of the symptoms of apnea. Her surgery will be done sometime in the next few weeks. Keep your fingers crossed that it will help.

Thanks guys--i just needd to vent i guess...I went for a 30 min walk and felt better...i am now going to lay by the pool for a bit.

Tammi-i have been decluttering my stuff lately too..i cleaned out my bedroom closet and threw out 2 or 3 bags of stuff. Ill be cleaning my room in the next week before we go away and im sure ill throw out another couple of bags!

Is anyone doing anything exciting this weekend? (Well, besides you Amy! ;) We know what you'll be doing! Did you pack your bag yet?)
ETA: Bob and I are going to go see Wall-e and the Incredible Hulk at the drive in on the 4th.

We're having a block party on the 4th. Should be fun!

I am really wishing I was going to be in California longer as there is so much I want to do out there. Then again I am happy that I have 2 days in CA before I board the ship. Instead of arriving the day or day before. We arrive late Thursday night, actually it might be early Friday morning till we get to our hotel. Sunday we head to the ship early. So we have Friday and Saturday to do things.

We are still trying to decide if we want to do one or two days in the parks. Personally I would love to do the 2, but not all are convinced. They are afraid that arriving in CA at midnight CA time is going to be too much to get up and go to a park on Friday morning. Hello sleep the first at sea day on the ship. ;)

Disneyland is open 8am to Midnight, I want to be there a lot of that time. We could get the hopper for 1 day but for about $20 more we can get a second day.

For those who have been to Disneyland, do you recommend two days, one at Disneyland and the other at DCA?

Here's my take: Disneyland/DCA is totally doable in one day as long as you are willing to go commando, take no breaks, and eat on the run. However, if you really want to be able to take your time, do what you want, and relax a little, a second day is not a bad idea. You can PM me for specifics if you want.

If anyone has any spare Pixie dust and prayers my brother could sure use alot of them tomorrow morning starting at 8:30 CST.
long story and to much to go into.

You got it!

I'm so sorry Jen! Did you get the sub papers?

I am feeling rather crispy. The combination of sun and spray sunscreen. I don't think any of us got burned, but it was toasty out there! Princess had swimming lessons, then we came home and went swimming. DH has to build pallets of product for 4th of July so there is no telling when he will be finished.

Here is a photo of our lovely Inn:

All of your photos are wonderful! Kyle and I both adore Boston, but haven't ever been together. Another city to add to the list for a potential trip in October! :rotfl:

Jennifer - the pictures are wonderful, my favorites are the ones of them together, how sweet.

I guess the wackiness earlier scared everyone away. I hope you all had good days.

Jennifer- I love all the pictures of your girls, they are adorable.

Thanks, ladies! I'm falling farther behind on pictures every day... but rest assured, we still find them pretty adorable! :teeth:

We never went to any of the clubs, not our thing. So it will be interesting to see what is put in place of the clubs.
I know when we were there in Jan. they were building a new restaurant.

We were just talking about this! Kyle and I haven't been "club people" since we started dating really, but we definitely planned on spending at least a night at PI once in our lives!

I finally met another one of my mini goals, I have now surpassed my husbands total weight loss. On to the next one . . . .

Did you see that a new Guitar Hero comes out next week, it is a wireless Guitar and features Aerosmith.

Congratulations on reaching your next mini-goal! You are doing so well! :yay:

Kyle and I were tempted to get that Guitar Hero, but haven't even played through GHIII yet. I have to say though, we love our wireless guitar and are glad they are coming with all of the new packages! :thumbsup2 I hope they eventually sell just the Aerosmith game (outside of the bundle), because I love the playlist!

Here is the recreation of the Dumbo picture. I have to see if I can find the original in mom's photo album.

Vicki, all of your vacation photos were great! You had such a nice looking group :) I love this one though. Please scan the original if you ever come across it... what a lovely idea!

I got an email today regarding Pleasure Island:

Over the next year, the 120-acre entertainment-shopping-dining complex will add a number of one-of-a-kind, immersive experiences for your Clients to enjoy. The Downtown Disney area will even get its own iconic attraction — a giant, tethered balloon that will take your Clients 300 feet into the air to view the amazing vistas of Walt Disney World Resort.

Other new experiences include:

In fall 2008, your Clients will enter a world of prehistoric creatures at T-Rex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure. The dinosaur-themed eatery will serve up pizzas, pastas, seafood and more amid life-size dinosaurs, geysers, waterfalls and a fossil dig site.
Also this fall, a design-your-own t-shirt store from Hanes will add to the growing collection of merchandise your Clients can personalize.
E-brands Restaurants will premier its newest concept in spring 2009. The casual eatery will feature authentic Central and South American cuisine and live music along the waterfront.

To complement the new experiences, many popular Downtown Disney locations will undergo enhancements.

Beginning this summer, Portobello Yacht Club will be transformed into a Tuscan Country Trattoria, featuring family-style dishes and a re-designed interior and exterior, including additional outdoor seating.
This fall, Goofy’s Candy Company will add a special new room that will enable families to host one-of-a-kind birthday parties.
The Marketplace Stage will be completely replaced with a larger, covered stage this fall to welcome even more entertainment to Downtown Disney and serve as a new premier venue for Disney Magic Music Days.
Fulton’s Crab House will update its interior fixtures and furnishings and exterior in spring 2009.
Next year, Wolfgang Puck Café will update its interior fixtures and furnishings and enclose its patio with glass to enable guests to enjoy the outdoors year-round.
