DDA Chapter 9

:furious: I am so frustrated. To many things happening all at once. My chair's actuator is OUT, DEAD, then my portable lift I just got today, the sling is HUGE, and then I have TONS of things I need to get done before I leave for KSDS. The actuator lets my chair tilt back so I can wiggle to get comfortable and let me tilt back out of the way so I can get tied down in my van securely. All we have to do is wait for insurance to verify and doctor to send a prescription for wheelchair repair. Just one more thing to figure out and make me stressed before I get my puppy. I am trying to keep the thought of my puppy in my head to keep me calm and sane.:furious:

hey there's nothing wrong with the tuba:headache: :rotfl: :rotfl: I fully expect it to pay for Abi's schooling!! (that and the fact she's as smart as a whip!!)

Congrats to Katie on her award!
Thanks!

Congratulations to Katie!

And I hope you continue to win the sunblock war! I can send her a picture of all my brown spots and freckles, since I was too cool to listen to my mother. :rolleyes1
Thank you!

Congratualations Katie! Continue to put on the sunscreen. I know I didn't. And unfortunately I am paying for now!
Thanks!

My BIL is a music teacher, and he is always saying that if you want a guaranteed scholarship have your kids learn the oboe, bassoon, tuba, or euphonium. Those are difficult instruments, and bands and orchestras always need them. Worked for his daughter. She can play the euphonium, tuba and bassoon, and got offered full ride scholarships to 3 universities!
Wow! What is a euphonium, never heard of that.

Anne Marie

Congrats to Katie, and keep hounding her to wear the sunscreen.
Thanks, I will!

:woohoo: Congrats to Katie!
Thank you!

Mom is home now, and I am leaving for the airport in about 20 minutes. For some reason my aunt decided she wants to leave at 5 PM instead of 6 PM. Whatever. As long as I make my flight!
Have a safe flight. Glad you get to go home.

Your baby is growing up! Congratulations to her on her award!
Yes she is...:worried: Thank you!

Jennifer- Love the bracelet. Are you sure you do not want Disney charms for it? Great pictures of your adorable girls.:goodvibes

Glynis- Glad to see you.

Elizabeth- Hang in there.

Congrats to Katie.

I wanted to play French horn or other brass instruments, but the band director wouldn't let me. Instead I ended up playing lots of woodwinds, piano, some percussion. I still wish I could play a brass instrument and strings. I need to fit guitar lessons in my schedule.

I also need to decide if I want to do any SCUBA diving on my trip. If so I need to do a dive or two before my trip. As I have not dove in over a year.

I am being a bum again tonight. I feel icky, not sure why. One of these days I hope to get motivation to accomplish something. Tomorrow night I have a meeting for work.

I apologize in advance (well, ok, so not so much in advance! :rotfl: ) for all of the pictures. Please don't feel like you have to comment on (or even look at) all of them!

Karen, I hope things start to resolve for you soon!

We have some hospital pictures online, finally! I guess they've been up a couple of days, but I never got the email I was supposed to :confused3

Kyle and I were actually going to completely bypass the hospital photo shoot, because I just feel like we get infinitely better shots ourselves than I tend to see from the hospital photographer, in this day of digital cameras and hundreds of the same shots all day :rolleyes1

I'm glad we didn't, though! The Christ Hospital outsources their photography service, and I'm so impressed with the job the photographer did! We didn't even bring in a real outfit or anything because we weren't really interested, so I'm glad we had a pair of onesies (decorated by my sister) that looked pretty cute with the blanket used as a background.

Here's the site, and if they ask for a password it's kjea2008.
Just beautiful, Jennifer!

Sorry, Karen. :grouphug:

You've got to be kidding! :lmao: We have all been waiting for cute baby pictures.

That is one of the things that I look forward to the most when I come on every day - all the DDA pictures. Baby pictures are some of my favorite though I enjoy all the family, vacation, travel, house, and any other pictures that you all post.

Wow! What is a euphonium, never heard of that.

It's a little tuba....that's the best way to describe it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euphonium

ETA: Euphonium, baritone and sousaphone are in the same class of well...little tubas. Jim's degree is in Music-Performance and his specialty is the low brass instruments. Abi has the baritone and will probably move over to the tuba at some point.

Jennifer, you have some great shots of you and the babies. They look so teeny, tiny when Kyle is holding them. :goodvibes:

I agree!!!!!!!:)

hee hee....One of these days I should take a picture of everybody playing all the instruments that I have in my little house....of the just under 1000 sq. ft. I bet at least 50 are covered in instruments...espescially since we have 3 dulcimers in there right now. :rotfl2:

Karen-I am sorry that you are having a heck of a time with things while getting excited about seeing your new partner.

How are you doing Theresa?

I've got a cold...I thought about you when a friend and I were discussing the fact that she has to sell her brand new guitar...it would cost too much to ship it to you:rotfl: She also has to sell her harp but you haven't expressed a desire to learn that one. :goodvibes

How are you doing??
