My neice & nephew are leaving today. I have to bring them to their other grandmother (not my MIL). They have been having alot of fun together, more than I thought they would & they are all alittle sad that they are going.

Hi folks..

I am sick....I was around a gaggle of kids on Saturday....and have been suffering from a sore throat since. I broke down and went to the doctor today. She didn't really diagnose me....but gave me drugs...so I am happy

I need to man up because we have plans tonight...so hopefully the meds kick in quick.

In other news...(and I am totally blaming Chanon)we booked that 3 day cruise on the Magic that she was talking about....and...it's only Bill & I! We will spend 2 days at Boardwalk...3 days on the cruise...and then 4 days at OKW (although we are wait listed at BW & BC.) I think Bill is more excited than I am.

Glynis...I have enjoyed reading your trip report. I am thinking of doing a trip to Germany...Bill is being resistant though. He is trying to tell me that visiting Germany in Epcot is enough for him!!

Glynis - Loving the trip report so far. Sounds like a great first day though I'm sorry about Katie's plane trip.

Janet - Hope you're feeling better and that the doctor gets back to you ASAP if he hasn't already.

Kristine - Feel better! And a great big for the trip. Sounds like a lot of fun. If I remember right that's the week we're there. I was tempted, but couldn't bear to give up half my WDW days since it will have been almost 2 years since our last trip. Plus, that's the non-Phil day so our chance to do some of the extras and fun stuff.

Elizabeth - Hope the haircut goes well.

Jennifer - Happy 3 weeks to your girls. I was checking out the photo album yesterday and they are all just precious.

Elizabeth - Good luck with the haircut! I hate taking my kids for cuts. Luckily, they are growing up enough that we don't have tantrums anymore. Of course, now Peanut is entering the picture, so I get to start all over!

Marci - I absolutely REFUSE to believe that you have any silver in your hair at all! I hope you have a great time at the lake. Don't forget your mosquito spray!!!

How'd I do? I know I forgot people, so I'll send a blanket of pixie dust for everyone!

I've got 3 batches of brownies baked and in the freezer (I'll frost and decorate them tomorrow), jello parfaits are setting up in the fridge. Katie will make cupcakes this afternoon (part of her math homework: fractions!), and I think we can do the rest tomorrow. I will make some deviled eggs with Jacob (his favorite thing to make), ranch potato salad, fruit salad and watermelon pops for the all the kiddies. Should be a great party.

Since I'm so ahead of the game, I promised to take the kids out for snow cones. We'll do that, then I'll come home and start on the next part of my trip report. Keep your fingers crossed that I remember, since I'm now working totally on memory!

So I came home from work but still have stuff to finish this weekend, before I go away. My stomach hurts and I feel blah. I think I may have a fever but I just ate an italian ice, so I can not take my temperature. That is the only thing I have eaten.

Sometime this weekend I hope to go to a nearby Pow Wow. It will probably be on Sunday as my Aunt plans on going then.

Well, my day off hasn't proved very restfull yet. Actually, I did sleep until almost 9, but then I was also close to finishing a book last night and accidentally stayed up until 2 so that wasn't so good. Since then Terra and I have picked up the den, vacuumed it 3 times since Dad is going to shampoo before Mom has bunco, completely cleaned the playroom and I've washed out the pool box since a colony of ants seems to have decided to make it their home.

Soon though we'll be off for Erin's house. The retirement community across the street from her has fireworks tonight. Now bad for a private area's display. They have a community festival too with free hotdogs, pretzels, ice cream, popcorn, sodas, beer, music, petting zoo and I don't remember what else. Erin has also invited a bunch of people over for a BBQ at her house before the fireworks.

Mom was admitted into the hospital last week because she fell. She also went into one of her episodes that she couldn't remember anything or anyone. We all thought that maybe she had a mini stroke. She was getting better and was due to be released on Monday morning. Around noon on Monday she took a turn for the worse, and isn't responding to anything. The doctors really don't know what is the problem. She is having another test run today. They think she might be having seizures, but are not sure. She sure doesn't look good. My brothers and I don't really want to remember mom this way.
Normally she perks back up within 24 hours or so, but she has shown no improvement. Actually she is falling deeper and deeper into a coma like state.
Sorry for the downer post. But I really need all the help I can get right now.

Tom, I am so sorry to hear about your mom! Tons of good thoughts for her recovery, and for you and your brothers!!

Glynis - The haircut was not too bad! At the very end she flipped out because a lady across from her was getting foil highlights and the foil scared her. Other then that she did well!
DS was HORRIBLE about haircuts until he was 4 or 5. He would scream and thrash and spit and kick. It was really ugly. One time he bit his lip so hard he drew blood. I think it was because he was tactile defensive and had some sensory stuff going on. He hated having those scissors snipping so close to his ears, making that noise. Luckily he has largely outgrown those issues.
