DDA Chapter 9

One week from now we should be in Conneticut by now :cool1: I'm getting really excited :cool1:

Anne Marie - I think Dana will be sick on August 16. As one of the DDA resident psychics I am quite certain he won't be able to make it to the office that day. In case you were wondering. :rolleyes1
Sophie is beautiful!

Denise - I hope your tests go well!! :wizard:

Excellent form Sophie! Love the costume!

Jennifer - I'm so happy everyone is continuing to do well. Sorry to hear about your swelling. Hope it recedes soon.

Elizabeth - :wizard: that your mom's fever stays down. Don't mess around with it should it spike again.

Elizabeth I hope your mothers fever went down

Bummer about the ticket!

Mom is running a fever of 101.5 now.:worried: She claims it is because she hasn't had any pain meds since 7 AM, and that if she had been taking them as scheduled she wouldn't have a fever. She has those Tylenol 3 things with codeine, which would also reduce any fever. I am not very happy with that explanation. Her discharge papers say to call for fever over 100. I told her if she continues to be feverish we are going to call the surgeon's office or the hospital.

Sounds like fun, hope you get it figured out!

Thanks to Jen's latest cruise, Gary is talking about taking a Alaskan cruise now. Thanks Jen :thumbsup2

Has anyone besides Jen cruised Royal Caribbean? Is there somewhere cheaper to book? John and I are looking at a 6 night Western for my 40th birthday in March. It's on the new (1 year old) Independence of the Seas. Chanon, do you get any extra perks for booking through AAA? If so, I'll send you the details.

Good morning. :)

I'm sure I'll have some picture of our day to post later. Have a great one!

Both Katie and Sophie are so beautiful, Anne-Marie!

I hope they both have great recitals this weekend! :wizard:
Thank you!!!:goodvibes

OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

Deb - from eveything I've read......the CM's at disney dining always tell people their party will be split because they only show tables for 4 or 8 or 2 or whatever. But when you get to the restaurant, 95% of the time they are together, because the CMs at the actual restaurant can group you together. I've actually done this myself and not had a problem.

Good to know. I'll keep that in mind for the future.

Hi all! Have we heard from Glynis? Someone please PM me!

As for us, we got home yesterday around 11:30am, and only that late because we took our time. We didn't turn the computers on once, because having these girls here (especially after sitting around staring at empty baby stuff for 10+ weeks) is way more fun. No offense! ;)

I'm REALLY hoping to get pictures started today, because I think it will be a several day project. I think a lot of things will have to wait until Kyle goes back to work though. Spending a fake paternity leave (4 measly days) in the hospital just isn't fair, so we're really feeling the crunch on our time before we don't have as much of it! :(

Peds appointment today, but I'll try to update more eventually. Everyone is doing well, the dog is fascinated with the girls and not at all phased by them, they continue to do well. I slept so well last night a) not pregnant and b) not in the worst hospital bed ever. I'm feeling pretty good, although nobody warned me about the post c-section swelling that is exponentially worse with multiples. I was so skinny after delivering, and I have gained about 8 pounds of fluid.... all in my legs. Yes, the entire length of my legs. It's so bizarre, and I also am shocked at how bad edema can hurt! It's making the surgery stuff (incision, uterine incision which I swear I can feel better than the skin incision!) worse, since I'm stretching out some, but we're getting through just fine. I continue to be up as much as possible, without making the swelling unbearable. In general, I can't remember whe n I felt so good!

I'll talk to you more soon, especially once it's just us girls here and they mostly just sleep! You know, when I'm not just watching them! :rotfl: :cloud9:

I'm glad that you are feeling terrific. Isn't not being pregnant a great feeling ::yes:: I'm glad the girls are still doing well. Enjoy every minute of it they grow up way to fast :cloud9:

Sophie had her dance rehearsal last night. This is her 4th year at dance.
This weekend will be all recitals. The girls perform in multiple shows so it will be busy but they love it. I have to order their bouquets today.

Sophie looks beautiful too. You are one lucky Mama::yes::

No word from Glyniss yet, hope we hear something soon!

Glad to hear you are all home & doing well! You & Kyle enjoy your time with your babies :goodvibes

Hope Glynis is ok, I was thinking about her last night.

Glynis!!! Pop someone a note as we are all worried!

Glad you had a good time, look forward to seeing your pictures!

We had a great time at Cedar Point. Leighanna loved it. I took some pictures and will try to upload them later today! Right now I need some sleep. I am feeling my age. I just can't bounce back as quickly as I used to!

Good idea!

Denise - She still has a drain in the wound so there is fluid draining continuously. She said the incisions aren't red or hot or anything. She keeps arguing that she wouldn't have had a fever if she had been taking her meds on a regular schedule. Well, the meds would have masked the fever. I may call the surgeon's office when they open just to get their take on it. I also want some directions on what to do if the fever spikes over the weekend.

Elizabeth sorry about the ticket. We don't have any of those cameras in our neck of the woods so I have no idea how to deal with it :confused3 Keep your eye on your Mom you need her to be much better by the time you have to fly home. Worry now and save yourself from worrying from Texas.

Elin and Tammi have a great day. Hopefully the weather will cooperate :thumbsup2

Chris and I headed to bed at 9 last night and turned on the Samantha Brown show. Chris was sleeping within seconds :rotfl2: Colby ended up climbing into bed and snuggling with me while discussing the show and our trip. We watched a bit of the cruise show together too. He thinks he'd like to do a cruise :thumbsup2 Then he headed off to bed. I haven't had snuggle time like that in a while

I'm off to achieve something. I'm not sure what yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Elizabeth- I hope your mom's fever is down, but I'd definitely put that call in. Better safe than sorry. :wizard: Sorry about the red light ticket. My dad is infamous for those tickets. He believes that since no one is one the road when he runs the red light he shouldn't be ticketed. He is up just about every night at 1am and is usually on the road to work by 2 or 3am.

Denise- :wizard: for your tests today. Enjoy BK's birthday party!

Karen- More :wizard: :wizard: for you and your dad for his surgery.

Jennifer- So glad you are home and everyone is doing well. You are so right, there is nothing better in this world than watching those babies sleep. :goodvibes I hope the swelling subsides soon.:wizard:

Amy- Enjoy all your swimming today. Girl, you better get that bag packed!

Anne Marie- You can tell the girls love dancing! They are both beautiful! :goodvibes

Tammi, Elin, Nicholas and Alyssa- Enjoy today!

Tom- Can't wait to see some pics of your adventures at Cedar Point!

Deb- Hope the last minute trip preparations go smoothly!!

Both Katie and Sophie are so beautiful, Anne-Marie!

I hope they both have great recitals this weekend! :wizard:

Ditto! Your girls are very talented as well :thumbsup2

Tammi & Elin have fun today!

Amy I agree with Robyn, get that bag packed ;) Have fun swimming!
