I have spent the better part of the morning figuring out where we are going to stop for a night for the drive in August.
Going from NYC to Orlando we are stopping in Savannah GA. We have made it there twice before so I know we can do it. I am just too old to drive straight thru anymore!![]()
Coming back home I am looking at Fayetteville NC or Rocky Mount NC.
We have marriott points from Dana's business travel so the hotel is free thankfully!
You could stop in Fredericksburg if you need a lunch or dinner! We are 5 miles from I95.
I agree!School's Out for Summer!.........sung in my best Alice Cooper voice.![]()

Deb - you have bug problems, I have mold problems. I have someone coming on Monday to give us an estimate on the damage, which I know is going to be huge. Because the humidity that hit so early this year the mold has really popped in our basement to the point where it's causing my friend who lives with us is getting sick. She's staying at another friends for now. This should be fun.![]()
That it isn't too bad.
Don't have pet...you could still be a risk as they also like cereal, flour and rice or pasta products. Ever cook macaroni and have something float to the top? That the little critter.
Outside of Savannah there is a Fairfield Inn that we have used numerous times. I did notice that it now has only a 2 diamond rating from AAA, though...

Coming home is always tough because there aren't a lot of Marriott properties. There is a Fairfield Inn I-95 around Fayetteville and then another one in Wilson, NC (that is located between Fayetteville and Rocky Mount). We have never used either one of those, but Fairfield Inns are usually pretty much the same and these two both have a 3 diamond rating.
Tammifor the last day of school! I hope you enjoy your week off.
Deb glad you got the bug problem taken care of. Congratulations to Nick![]()
Chanon good luck with the mold issue![]()
Poor little dude. Wow, what a turnaround from last year where he would done anything to get out of school.
about the cat food. We usually buy such a big bag that I don't know how we could get it all in the freezer, but I think we're going to start trying. I do transfer it to an airtight plastic container.
to everyone! I need to go get dinner going. The boys had a half day today. Hunter's class had a field day and Nick's did some track and field stuff and had an awards assembly (which parent's knew nothing about). Nick has been sweating it out this quarter as teacherease was showing some B's. He said they did honors first and he wasn't called up so he assumed that he must have gotten a C. I am happy to report that he was wrong and he got High Honors for the 4th consecutive quarter. We are so proud of him.
He also took 5th place in the shotput event which he was also proud of.
You'll have to make a countdown calendar for him for the first day of school!
DS would prefer to NEVER go back to school. Can't say I blame him. Middle school - blech!
I might even take a few photos. You guys can ignore the airtight containers that no longer fit in the cupboard can't you.

Terry, gald you are having a nice time.
