Vicki has more photos on her photopass now. Let me know if you need the link .

I was looking at that today! Let me know what you think.

When are you leaving PA? Wave at us as you drive past Fredericksburg, please. :wave2: I am so jealous. I would love to be headed to the OBX.

I really liked the voice. Yes it does recalculate, but it got me home. I liked the map, it was right on. tomorrow will tell.

I included a photo of Emma from this trip by a Pooh statue and a photo of her by the same statue from 2005. I LOVE that 2005 photo. She was still a bit shy of the characters then and she had her hand on the Pooh statue with a very pleased "I'M TOUCHING POOH" look on her face.

It IS the one from 2005. Just precious!

I LOVE my Garmin...it is done here with us now. I would not travel without it.

I hope you CAN travel without it if necessary, though. One of my student's parents literally cannot drive from here to Dulles airport without their GPS unit. If you ask them about a location they look at you like they don't even know it is there! :confused3

I have been really yakky tonight! Time to get off here and do some reading before bed. Enjoy your evenings, everyone. See you in the morning.

I do fine....we use it mainly for areas we are unfamiliar with...not a daily use thing. It is helpful for me because Bill backseat drives me less...:rotfl:

Just got this photo update from Aidan's page. I don't think Mac would mind my posting it:

I am shocked how hot is for y'all WAY up North. It was around 90 here today. So y'all have feet and feet of snow in the winter and then the heat we get (or hotter). :scared1: Has it always gotten so hot for you, or is this really unusual?

it's unusual for this early...but yes we do get your heat...and the feet and feet of snow

agreed. According to my AAA TourBook the average high in Virginia in the summer is 88, so we definitely get hot. And HUMID.

Atlanta's average summer highs are the same as ours.

we are the same (88) but no humidity....the only difference is how you sweat...sticky or dry!!:rotfl2:

I'm getting my hair cut/permed on Saturday. I've been growing it out for the last several months, but with all this talk of hot weather I think it is time to go short again. I looked like a drowned rat when I got done at the dam today and of course I took the kids to their appointments looking that way. With the heat and humidity coming on strong I will look better short and wavy (short and curly sounded way wrong :rotfl: )

I need to do that too...I took 2 and 1/2 inches taken off when I wasn't sure if I would have control of my left hand and I need to curlify my hair it's straight and I dislike it.

I went to a visiting youth choir concert tonight...the choirs were from TX. I felt really bad because none of the groups were very good (including the one from my work church) but I do love choir music.

Well good night all!! and Good morning DDA friends!!

Good morning. :)

Cute pic of Aiden.

Must be the week for hair. I have an appt. for a trim/color tomorrow. My roots badly need it.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Our heat wave broke last night amidst severe thunderstroms. Finally! :)

We love the Harry Potter books. I have the last one on cd and we will listen to it on our trip home when we are all in the truck together. I think it will cover most of the ride home as it is 21 hours long.

Bob and I have 3 through 7 on CD so if anyone is interested, let me know. It's the ONLY way I could get him to read the books. His comment before listening to the CD's was "I can see it at the movie theatre." OMG! It's totally not the same! :rotfl: So getting them on CD has been worth it - we relisten to them on our long trips.

Hopefully the weather will calm down - My old broken central air unit needs a break. Since our storms two nights ago, I haven't had it on. Let's hope it stays cool for a few more days.

Amy - thanks for the offer! I ended up hitting the submit button last night. I had to do it or else I'd never hit the button until the last possible moment. THIS step is making it real for me. I'm sure when I get them in the mail that's gonna freak me out too. If you'd still like to see the "official" proof, I'll send you a pm with my work email.

Speaking of the invites, I also found out that the response cards, hotel cards and reception cards are ALL FOLDED. I'm already over the size limit for needed a more expensive stamp - and all I need is more weight. :faint: So thanks to a couple suggestions from others, and thankfully our invitations do not have a border, I'm cutting the hotel and reseption cards in half. :scared: I'll buy a nice paper cutter for that and use the leftover paper for our placecards! Guess I better start practicing my calligraphy again...

Mom comes home on Friday from NV and then Saturday we go to Detroit for the first of two showers. Should be an easy weekend.

OK, off to get ready to work!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Well to hear the weather people, you would have thought the world was going to end. It was no were near as bad as just the other day.

Heidi hope your weather is not to bad!
