And since I caught Jen's Army Wives comment as the page loaded I have jump in with a "totally agree!" Bawling like crazy at the end. Such a great episode to start the season and so well done.

Did you see it (I am sure you know what I'm referring too) coming? Thankfully Eric was in bed when I was watching it or he would have been :rotfl2:
.

I bawled my eyes out too. Then I had to watch it a second time and the same thing happened.!!!!

It was very powerful.
I am so glad some of you guys watch the show--none of my friends watch it and its driving me crazy not to talk about it with someone!
and NO i didnt see it coming--i was eliminating people in my head that they showed and totally missed seeing that oen coming!

I started to watch it a 2nd time and everyone just rolled their eyes and said "its not going to changea nd your still going to cry"cant wait til next week!!!!

Ok you are all going to laugh at me...

It's 99 degrees outside right now however I didn't think it is bad at all. I was actually out for awhile in it & was very comfortable. Maybe its because the humidity is under 50% but it's really not bad at all. Ok I am ready for August.:)

You are ready! I honestly don't remember August in Disney being all that horrible. It was HOT, but you spend so much time in air conditioning that it isn't as bad as you would think. (At least I keep telling myself that! :rotfl: )

I'm already starting to worry about hurricanes for Florida and severe storms as we travel West. I can be prepared, but I can't do anything about the weather, so I try to not keep worrying.

Wow It's only 90 degrees here and it is HOT. We had to let the inside of the car cool before we could get in. We went to BJs and picked up some brownies for tomorrow and a tub of cookie dough for future parties :goodvibes I also picked up eggs as somehow we were out :confused3 I want to start making pancakes and crepes for the freezer of the camper so I need to have everything on hand in case the spirit moves me. I think I'll try to work on the kitchen now. Thankfully the air conditioning is keeping it bearable in the house :thumbsup2
Humm I suppose that I should check the AC in the camper. We'll be needing that real soon :cloud9:

AAACCKKK! SHHHHHH! You aren't supposed to mention weather issues! :scared1: As soon as you mention them they HEAR you, and they are summoned from the deep to head straight for Orlando! DH knows he better not even THINK about weather issues, let alone say it out loud.

Jennifer - Hang in there! :wizard:

I just called my mom. She sounds completely loopy. I have no idea how much pain medication she is on for her teeth, but she was all groggy and it was taking her awhile to answer me when I asked her things. This is not good. She's not even on antibiotics, so if anything gets infected that will be the end of her surgery next week. I told her she better call the breast surgeon RIGHT NOW and tell them what she had done in case they want to cancel it, but she just said "It should be healed by then." Great. :headache:

Tell your dh he is off the hook now, because I'll be to blame. :rotfl:

pixiedust: for you mom and     for you!

Ditto from me!!!!

Nicholas' baseball game for tonight is canceled again. It's 91 here and the feel like temp is 101. If I can stand this I should do okay in FL. But I don't spend much time outdoors. Just from the house to the car and the car to the office or store or whatever.

I've managed to book a photoshoot at the Poly for July 8th for the 11 of us and I booked a horseback ride for 5 of us for July 6th. I think that is everything that I need to book at this point :thumbsup2 At some point I should recheck park hours and rewrite our plans onto something that I can carry with me.

Amazingly it is 10 degrees cooler than they were predicting! Tomorrow they still think it will be 103. :scared:

I forgot to say I was glad that Nicholas' game was canceled. I noticed when I was at Fredericksburg Academy yesterday that there was a field hockey tournament going on!!!

Tell your dh he is off the hook now, because I'll be to blame. :rotfl:

Tsk tsk. Don't say it again. Maybe the weather your comment will conjure will be gone by August. ;)

pixiedust: for you mom and     for you!

Thanks. I can't believe she did that. Well, yes I can. She did it because I told her NOT TO!

We have this kind of heat all the time, but we don't go stand out in it. And you don't stand out in it at WDW, either. Unless you are hiking from the marina at the Contemporary to CP in 100% humidity you will be fine. That hike is brutal. And to add insult to injury, stupid CP opened 10 minutes late that day! :headache:

I am still pondering what to wear for the photos. DH has a striped polo that is white, green, and navy. I have 2 different solid navy shirts. My problem is what to have DS wear. He has a polo that is just navy and white but I think having both of them in stripes might look weird. :confused3

All of the end of the year outdoor parties at school are being cancelled too. Nicholas' class was supposed to have a picnic today, Alyssa's beach party was supposed to be tomorrow. Bummer.

Bernadette - you don't need a dSLR to take wonderful pictures. You already do. And I know that if you set your mind to making a change in your life, you will do it. You've done it before, so I know you can do it again. When you are ready, you will.
Thanks!

Good morning...

Today is the first day of summer vacation!:cool1: It should be interesting with all the kiddos, all 7 of them, here today. On Thursday, I'll have 9, which I am not looking forward to at all. :faint:
:scared1:

Bernadette-'s YOU are an AWESOME person just the way you are!! And I don't think any of us care that you aren't a size 4.
Thanks!

Bernadette, Sorry about the AmEx bill. :headache: Do they have that option of getting an e-mail alert when your bill is almost due? We have that for a couple of our bank cards. I also ended up making a checklist of our monthly bills because the mail is so spotty sometimes. I missed a bill last year and didn't notice until we got the next statement. Luckily that wasn't one that would have kicked us into a default APR!
I will tell you, the moms around here aren't young but they are tiny and always look nice. Then there's me, in a baseball cap with no make-up, still trying to lose the same weight I have been trying to lose for the past 12 years. They don't have nice cameras, but believe me, they could if they felt like it. Try not to let them get you down! At the band concert there was only one camera nicer than ours. BUT DH doesn't know how to use the dSLR to it's full potential so our pics aren't any better than what I used to take with the disposable. Don't tell him I said that.

What is it they say on the photo boards? "Buying a Nikon doesn't make you a photographer, it makes you a Nikon owner." Or maybe it's Canon. You get the point. We have spent over $1000 on dSLR stuff since Black Friday. I nearly choked when I realized that. Yesterday DH said he needs special bag for $90. And he needs a tripod. I get needing the tripod, but we are going to fight about the bag. Your pictures are stunning! I would much rather have the fabulous photos that you take as opposed to the expensive equipment and disposable quality photos we get. Don't tell DH I said that, either. I am just waiting for him to get frustrated and abandon the whole thing. Then I will know where you can get 2 dSLRs, a flash, and 3 lenses in addition to what came with the cameras. Cheap. ;)
Thanks! The Amex thing really set me off. DH pays the bills and I was so mad when I found this one in the pile of mail. When I asked him about it he said that when he went to pay it it wasn't the bill it was an envelope of blank checks. The bill was still in the pile of mail. I feel like we really need to get control of things! I asked him how the week went without Emma home and he had some time to himself. He responded with not that much time Joe gets on the bus about 9:00 (its really 8:35) and Lizzy gets home at 2:00 (its really 2:50) so not enough time to actually do much. What really gets me is that the man is NOT lazy. He's just so slooooooow. I really shouldn't have to do everything. I think it's going to be a long summer!!!!

I did sign up for the email reminders. I just checked my balance again and it is still $0 so hopefully the interest charge won't be too bad. Of course Amex is having a bonus points offer but now I don't want to use the card.

I know that the longer I wait for a dSLR the better I'll get for less money. I don't want to drag around a dSLR in the parks for now when the kids are still so young. But I still can't help but be a bit a jealous.

I did PM Jennifer and here is her response. Let's put her and the girls at the top of our prayer list, she could definitley use it :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hi there! Thanks for the PM. I am coming on mostly just when I have a PM notification, so I'm sorry to have you all worried! In addition to just being ready to deliver, I continue to get more and more sick. They're keeping an eye on liver function because the itching, etc has gotten so bad that I literally sleep for about 20 minutes at a time, an hour a two a night, and am covered from head to toe with marks and swelling from when I couldn't "not itch".

I'm sure as a cycle because of both pregnancy and the lack of sleep, I've gotten sick on top of any of that. I started with a sinus infection, which is now bronchitis... and I'm hoping it stops there. They have Kyle and I watching my oxygenation, using my asthma meds, etc (in addition to the rest I was on), and are just walking a fine line between mine and the girls' health until it's time to deliver.

From Jennifer:
I appreciate your concern, and you can pass along my thanks to the thread. Again, I apologize for not keeping up and checking in, but "pregnancy discomforts" - even those coming from measuring WELL beyond what anyone should before delivering - have just been topped by illness that would probably keep me away not pregnant. I have literally just spent the days wandering around trying to a) breathe and b) stay somewhat comfortable for a few minutes at a time.

Hopefully sooner than later I will have delivered and will be on the mend from this illness as well, and I might be able to function again! Thanks again for checking in!
Thanks for the update Deb! Poor Jennifer!!! Hope those little girls come soon!

Beranadette :grouphug: It is not how you look on the outside, but who you are on the inside. That being said let me share my motivation with you. I have to admit that when I was 200 lbs I knew that I was heavy, but it didn't bother me enough to do anything about it. When I did some soul searching I realized that I wanted to lose weight so that I could better keep up with my kids and be a healthier person. I get sick far less now than I did 55 lbs ago. I also knew that Chris was so embarassed by his mother's weight that he wouldn't bring friends home to meet her. We dated for months before I met her. Of course her personality had something to do with it, but her physical appearance was part of it. I Never want my children to be ashamed of me. I know that is in my head, but it worked. While I still struggle with my weight and I always will, but at least I know where to dig for the motivation that I need. As far as nice cameras or nice cars (new cars are a big thing here) I couldn't care less. I feel priviledged to stay home with the boys and that we take amazing vacations every 2 out of 3 years. I drive a $400 car proudly and remind myself that $400 is one car payment for most of those people. As the economy gets worse many families around here will have to drastically cut back, but we won't need to make many changes at all :thumbsup2 Your photos are amazing and I'm sure much better quality than most of those Moms are taking. Take some advice from a man...it's not the size of the equipment, but knowing how to use it that matters ;) My kids are proud of me and love to have friends over, everyone that meets them has heard about our vacations:lmao: and I do mean everyone. We are all happy and healthy:lmao: We have a nice home that we can afford and we have a house full of love  So that's my 2 cents worth (and that is probably more than it's worth :lmao: )
Thanks! I do want to be healthier and look better for the kids.

I've been having dSLR envy a lot lately, too. Some days it seems like I am the only one that doesn't have one. I have wanted one for so long, but unless I get a "real" job (and maybe not even then), I won't be getting one. They are just so much better in the lower light situations that I am often in, have a more aperature settings, etc. I try to be content with what I have, though, because I do have a wonderful life. I wouldn't trade what I do have for a dSLR, that's for sure. Also, I am an "older" mother to Miles and not nearly fashionable enough. And you already know that I am nowhere near a size 4. I was a 6-8 for a little while once, though, and I think that makes it even worse sometimes.

 Your photos are absolutely stunning with the camera you have! If you find that gusto, could you please share some with me?
Thanks Beth!

I finally bit the bullet and got the caulking done. What a huge mess and it was as much of a pita as I thought it would be. I also got the rubber baseboard around the cabinets.
:woohoo:

Bernadette - I finally had time to read your 4 day TR that you sent by email. Your pictures are phenomenal. Someday when you get your dSLR (and I know you will someday) you can make a career change! You have a wonderful eye for setting up photos and the wuality of what you sent surpasses most people's digital photos. Brava, woman! ;)
Thanks! I need to finish! I finally finished adding borders to my photopass pictures and ordered the CD last night. Need to get back to my own pictures!

Ok you are all going to laugh at me...

She does enjoy torturing you doesn't she?

I bought everyone the polos from Disney shopping for Christmas. The girls all have pink and the boys all have light blue. We have navy shorts with ours, but I'm not sure what the others will do for shorts.

the severe storm season is almost over around here....we have small cloud bursts most of the time from now until our first storm.
