Good morning :)

Riley played a doubler header yesterday & the won both games :cool1: It was a long day, but a good one.

Time to head to work, have a great day all!

Congrats to Riley!

Anne Marie -- congrats to Daniel for his super play this weekend!

All the recitals went well, but the last 2 were held in the dark! We had some powerful storms go through our area last night about 5:30 and there were trees downed all over the place. Most of the downtown area and a large portion of our section of the county were out of power for about 6 hours.

The emergency lighting at the library came on for the second recital but it went out about a third of the way through the 7:15. One of the parents had brought an outdoor lantern so we hung it from the microphone stand and it looked a little like an old-fashioned street lamp. The ambiance in the theater was actually kind of nice!

As the emergency lighting started to go out the students had trouble seeing the keyboard but did remarkably well. I held a flashlight on the music for our last performance since it was a very advanced duet that required the used of music.

The lights finally came on during our awards ceremony after that last recital so the reception was much better than the one for the 5:45 recital. No one had a clue what they were eating! :)

I had a very dark drive home as the lights were out from the river all the way out into our county and into our subdivision. Power was restored here about 11:15 so we could turn the lights out to go to bed!

Oh my. I'm glad no one was hurt by the storms in your circle of music family.

We got in early yesterday from Waco -- around 5:30. The first game Sunday morning went really well -- we run ruled the other team and it ended early. We all packed up and went back to the hotel (one family was staying last night) and used their breakfast area to do lunch for the team. We went back at 2 for our next game, and the other team run ruled us. We just didn't play well. The team was so used to winning that I think the drive to do well was really gone. This seemed like a good lesson learned for them. Before this game, they were second in the nation for their age division.

We have staff days for the next two days where we meet as a group, brainstorm, work on certain projects etc. The boys have a basketball camp this afternoon, and both have games tonight at 7:30. Andrew's team is playing for second place.

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning!

Well all you home improvement guru's out there have inspired me to get off my butt & start the girl's room. It has been pink with a doll border since Katie was 5 & obviously she (& Sophie) would like a change. Katie & I got the border off yesterday & the girls picked out a light purple (lavender) for the walls & white trim. Their furniture is white so this should look nice. I am hunting for 2 white duvets so their comforters match. Also new curtains will be needed. They are very excited.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel as school is almost over!:cool1:

Sounds a lot like Alyssa's room. She has white furniture, and light purple walls as well. The trim is a very pale pink though, since her comforter is purple and pink. Good luck!

To include my front yard! I had a small tree snap off about 2 ft up from the ground. I really liked that tree. :( It gave the front yard some shade. So we will be cutting that up tonight or tomorrow. I had been out of the area from noon until 6, and when I was driving up Ferry Rd. it was looking awfully dark. I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to get in my house if the power was out, since all I had was my garage clicker. I think I have a key hidden somewhere outside but it has been a few years. Guess I should check that.

ILast resort - if you have to change resorts, you need at least one AP member in each room to get an AP rate right? And if you have an AP rate on a room, doesn't that mean you can buy the DDP? Would that be doable? Put at least one adult in each room that has an AP?
A kid won't work?

I got your email and may give you a call later today. I have a meeting to go to in a few minutes.

How exciting!

Well don't get too excited. I'm convinced now, that despite them wanting to come at 28 weeks, now we'll make it to my scheduled date. Well, THEY will. I will be certifiable by then, so I won't even know what's going on.

Hi and good bye everyone! This is my official notice that I am leaving tonight for London and won't be back until June 10. Try to keep the chatter down so that I have a chance of catching up when I get back.

Everything is packed and ready to go, so I'll chat with y'all when I get back!

You are going to have such a wonderful time! See you when you get back :goodvibes

Just so you guys know, i just started the trip report..the link is in my sig if anyone wants to check it out!

Hooray! I'm off to check it out after this!

anybody else watching the Pixar cake challenge???

Absolutely! We were shocked by the results actually. Kyle and I watch that show almost religiously and were a bit surprised that the judges didn't flip first and second. It was great though. Orlando's characters were the best I've ever seen! :faint"

 Jennifer PUPPP sounds horrible. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable you are. I can totally understand wanting to deliver immediately

Ahh, please keep those thoughts coming. I told Kyle I might just have a meltdown in the office tomorrow if things don't look better! :rotfl:

Yuck! I'm glad that it went on despite no lights.... something to remember, at least, no?! :goodvibes

Ugh, I hate that! I'm glad no large trees caused any damage at least! Good luck getting it all cleaned up :wizard: And good thinking about the garage door opener! I have a key on my ring (that I have never used :rotfl: ) so I would at least be ok, but that has never crossed my mind!

I did and the winning cake would make a great wedding cake!
I normally give out the number for group reservations...

I saw simple duvets at Target over the weekend...there's this one and I think it comes in white.
ETA: It's ivory but they do have some on clearance called Shabby Chic I think...

I agree!!!

I am glad nothing was damaged other than your poor little tree! Did you ever lose power? A couple of my students who live closer to you than me had power all evening. :confused3

Good luck with your project. It sounds like a very pretty girls room.

Now that we have the projects near completion in most of the house Colby is teasing to have his room redone as his brother's got theirs done. My response...When you stop wetting at night we'll get you a new bed and redo your room. Colby's response...you mean the next time I wake up dry? :confused3 My response...No, Forever. I think I just bought myself some time :lmao:

Congrats to Riley!

Second in the nation :woohoo: That is very very impressive.

I remember that feeling all too well. After having Hunter 5 weeks early I thought I was going to go insane carrying Colby longer. Since I was sick with all 3, every minute of every day I couldn't wait to NOT be pregnant. Colby ended up being 3 1/2 weeks early, but It felt like he was late :faint:
Just remember that the end is in sight

Jennifer - I am so sorry that PUPP has entered your life. :( I was, however, tickled to see the "Hello!" photo on your website. How absolutely precious! :goodvibes

I'd better get moving. I still have lots to do and I'm working 4 nights this week plus running Colby around 2 days. I think I'll just start picking away at things and hope that things move more quickly than I expect. I'd love to get the curtains up as the room would look much more done, but we need to wash the windows and I need Chris to open them for me. They are very difficult to pull open for cleaning. Ugh.

Computer cabinet here I come. Between dust and clutter that should take a while.

I've watched our DVD from the 3D ultrasound a few times lately, which has been kind of nice. We had every intention of getting pieces of it online, but even though it's fully our DVD, paid for (quite bit of money) and 'starring' only our unborn children, our Mac doesn't know that and still refuses to rip it because of their big anti-piracy thing.

A few minutes of some days I remind myself that in the grand scheme of things (you know, the rest of our lives that will always include these two girls, forever), 2 weeks isn't so bad. The remaining 99.9% of the time though that's tough to keep in mind, since this pregnancy hasn't exactly been a breeze :headache: You're right though, each day is closer (to ... whenever :rotfl: )!

hee hee....sounds like you have girls like my Cassidy :goodvibes (sorry)

That sounds pretty. I would love a pink room for me but I don't think Dana would go for it!:rotfl:

I ran to the paint store & found the color chip of the paint color that the girl's saw on line last night (lily lavender). It looked too pink in the store so I grabbed some more color chips to bring home. I took the samples their room & the one they picked out originally looks very purple-y (just what they wanted) the other ones (that I chose) are too blue. Ok back to the paint store!

WTG Riley on the great doubleheader!!!

Wow Marci!! I realized the boys played well but second in the nation is awesome!!!!

Elin-I could so picture the scene you set for your recitals. I am sorry the power went out but I am glad the recitals went on.

Tammi-I am sorry you lost a tree but I am glad your house wasn't hurt.

Jen-I would have agreed with you about the decision if there had been any "carvings" in the second place cake...and they were only 2nd by 2 points.

With that I am going to say have a great day DDA!!

It felt so good this weekend to only minimally use my wrist but that changes today. :( So I hope the Advil works!!

It had gone out, but I don't know for how long. When I got home all the clocks were blinking at me.
