Great news!

Hi all! I hope you all are doing well! I've been trying to stay busy, despite the circumstances. It's June, though, so we've been telling the girls they can come at any time! My restrictions are lifted a bit too, which is another reason I'm not around -- I'm actually allowed DOING some things throughout the day!

Wonderful picture Debbie!

I thought I'd share another picture, I can't remember us ever having a picture made with just the three of us so this is a rare shot. The coordinating colors was purely coincidental.

I forgot to comment on this before, so ditto!

Congratulations to your mom, even though it is bittersweet. I'm sure it will be good for your sister and the kids.

Sorry I missed you, hope you have a wonderful time!

Hi and good bye everyone! This is my official notice that I am leaving tonight for London and won't be back until June 10. Try to keep the chatter down so that I have a chance of catching up when I get back.

Everything is packed and ready to go, so I'll chat with y'all when I get back!

Awesome deal!

Elizabeth-you are an enabler...we decided to check Dillard's today...1 pair of Croc's on clearance for $8.74...in my size. I am the proud owner of a pair of swirly pink mary janes:cool1: .

I had to promise Jim he would get the next pair:rotfl2:

Good morning :)

Riley played a doubler header yesterday & the won both games :cool1: It was a long day, but a good one.

Time to head to work, have a great day all!

I just took a Disney quiz about the Disney movies and for the first time ever taking any Disney quiz got a 20 out of 20. :woohoo: I must be spending more time on Disney stuff! :lmao:

You are a total Disney Maniac!

You have correctly answered 20 of 20 questions.

The average of surfers gave 15.15 correct answers.

Not surprisingly I got a 15. I hardly watch movies, including Disney ones. So the ones I got were the older movies and missed all 5 on the newer ones.

Good morning!

Well all you home improvement guru's out there have inspired me to get off my butt & start the girl's room. It has been pink with a doll border since Katie was 5 & obviously she (& Sophie) would like a change. Katie & I got the border off yesterday & the girls picked out a light purple (lavender) for the walls & white trim. Their furniture is white so this should look nice. I am hunting for 2 white duvets so their comforters match. Also new curtains will be needed. They are very excited.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel as school is almost over!:cool1:

All the recitals went well, but the last 2 were held in the dark! We had some powerful storms go through our area last night about 5:30 and there were trees downed all over the place. Most of the downtown area and a large portion of our section of the county were out of power for about 6 hours.

The emergency lighting at the library came on for the second recital but it went out about a third of the way through the 7:15. One of the parents had brought an outdoor lantern so we hung it from the microphone stand and it looked a little like an old-fashioned street lamp. The ambiance in the theater was actually kind of nice!

As the emergency lighting started to go out the students had trouble seeing the keyboard but did remarkably well. I held a flashlight on the music for our last performance since it was a very advanced duet that required the used of music.

The lights finally came on during our awards ceremony after that last recital so the reception was much better than the one for the 5:45 recital. No one had a clue what they were eating! :)

I had a very dark drive home as the lights were out from the river all the way out into our county and into our subdivision. Power was restored here about 11:15 so we could turn the lights out to go to bed!

Oh no!! That is great that they were able to go on & perform even without proper lighting.

anybody else watching the Pixar cake challenge???
I did and the winning cake would make a great wedding cake!
Has anyone here used the magical gatherings people to do their ADRs? I think Lindsay has, but she isn't available.
I normally give out the number for group reservations...
I still have NO idea what to do about our Dec. room ressies. I was thinking about just staying at OKW the first 3 nights and then going to Pop for the 3 nights that we can't get OKW, but then that screws up the whole thing for my parents and the DDP, because they don't have annual passes. They will have bought a 6 day ticket and used half of it before checking in at Pop. So how would that affect their ability to get the DDP, since it would be a room only ressie?
Last resort - if you have to change resorts, you need at least one AP member in each room to get an AP rate right? And if you have an AP rate on a room, doesn't that mean you can buy the DDP? Would that be doable? Put at least one adult in each room that has an AP?

I saw simple duvets at Target over the weekend...there's this one and I think it comes in white.
ETA: It's ivory but they do have some on clearance called Shabby Chic I think...

Chanon,

Thanks for the link, I will have to go to Target today...I love Shabby Chic!

I know. And that's what I don't want to have them do, after already paying for a 6 day ticket, the DDP and the resort. It's ridiculous, just because we change resorts, that we lose the DDP.

And you'll have to tip for having your bags moved! ;) Not really. At Pop you can grab a cart and move the luggage yourself.
I don't know what to tell you on the DDP.

I didn't either until I read another thread a year or so ago. There is good and bad about becoming more educated about Disney!

I like Bernadette's line of thinking - it's a few dollars a day to have as much luggage as I want. But I agree that if we bring our bags to the desk and then go back and get them the guy doesn't need more than about $5.

Good morning :)

Yay Riley!!

Elin, glad you were able to improvise! :thumbsup2

Theresa - Yay for Crocs! :cool1:

Bernadette - Is Lizzy's crush anyone we know? :rolleyes1
