i need some pixie dust the next month or so. my dad called his heart doctor yesterday and told them he isn't feeling to hot. dad is scheduled for a heart cath next Thursday and he might get rolled to surgery from the cath or wait a day or so to have his valve replaced. mom and i are also having a tiff about the dog going on the cruise. so i need pixie dust mom and i get over it asap and dad does well during the cath and surgery.

Disney Cruise line called and said they have discontinued the Banana boat rides at Castaway Cay....a little bit last minute if you ask me.

I bet something must have happened where someone got hurt or something.

Bob took Nicholas to the batting cage, so I am here with the 2 girls. They are occupying themselves, playing dress-up or something. I'm afraid to go see how much makeup they've got on themselves.

Anyone hear about the helicopter accident at the hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan? I didn't think anything of it and then my DH called. That is the hospital that Becky's boyfriend works at and he has been on that helicopter (he is an EMT). He was not involved and it sounds like no serious injuries for those involved.

since dad is having a heart cath and then probably heart surgery we are probably gonna nix the cruise. Dad has a coworker who had a valve replacement last year so dad talked to him. he told dad that his doctor said 6 months recovery until he felt better or like doing anything and thats what it was. so we are probably putting a nix on the cruise now. yeah i am bummed but its ok because now me and my puppy can bond more and i wont mind keeping him home. but of course mom thinks i am all upset about the cruise and think we should go anyway and has told me dad's health is more important. um well DUH!! can i move in with any of you?

Opps, sorry I could have told you that like a week ago or two ago. But I did not realize that you had signed up for that. It was discussed on my repo thread. The tour operator pulled out. I doubt they will find somebody else before you cruise to replace them.

Sorry that you will not have the banana boat to ride.

The same thing happened with my parasailing and DCL had called to say it was cancelled. But they found another tour operator before we sailed. But we were not sure when we got on the ship if it was happening or not.

Elizabeth-tell DS that we are all proud of him! I'm just wondering why your DH doesn't have the same fear of airplanes as he does of boats. How much do I owe you?

So I'm still fighting this cold

I just found my bill from Pop that I foolishly never looked at and they charged me for the fridge for Emma's penicillin. I'll have to call them tomorrow and see if they will refund the $64.00. I'm an accountant I should know better.


Chanon-Janet-Karen-has anyone gotten any packages yet? I mailed them on the 20th.

Katie had a great time on her nyc cruise. They had a DJ & a bagel buffet on board. Can't wait to see the pictures she took. (I gave her a disposable camera so I have to go get the pictures done this week).

I just looked on the USPS website and it says 6 days-maybe the holiday slowed things down too. Maybe tomorrow?

I checked and MA to TX says 6 days too. OH says 5 so maybe Chanon will have a little package when she gets home today. That would nice-seems like she could use it today.

So I need to pack my stuff for the weekend. But I am waiting for the washer and dryer to be finished. As I am leaving tomorrow morning and will not return till Saturday night or Sunday. It appears there will be heavy thunderstorms on Saturday. I guess I will spend the day soaked again. It seems to be a common theme. I need to find my rain jacket, I have the pants, but the jacket seems to have went for a walk.

Wish me luck I have my meeting tomorrow night to settle my volunteer dispute. I am kind of dreading it. After that I am stopping at Cabelas to pick up my shoes I ordered as it is on the way. Then I am heading to camp for a Pirate themed weekend and science weekend. We may be soggy pirates on Saturday.

No wonder I have been in an icky mood just looking at my post exhausts me. I think I need a drink.

I hope all of you have a great weekend.

I always feel like I am forgetting something. So far it hasn't actually happened. Do you have a checklist?

Thanks for the comments on DS! He got his yearbook today so he was busy with that when he got home. I gave him my 7th grade yearbook to look at and he was howling. I liked to write comments above the pictures. I also changed his KidzEyes check into Disney Dollars for him so he has a bit more money for the trip.

Bernadette - DH had never been on a plane until we went to a wedding in FL. That was probably in 1994? Then he didn't fly again until 2005 when we went to WDW. For all I know he may be afraid to fly, but he hasn't said it out loud! He graduated from some airplane mechanic program after high school so he may be more comfortable with planes. Of course he never actually worked as an airplane mechanic. I am petrified of take-off but since I fly with DS now I have to suck it up and look relaxed.
The hat was $15, tax and shipping included.

I found a pair of Crocs at Dillard's today for $7.50. They are the same pink as my Disney Crocs, but they are the plain "Beach" style.
