The boards were fine today. I suspect everyone was busy with the holiday week-end. I've been on most of the evening. Since no one was here, I've been all over the board and TGM. Working on our final plans and started packing.

Elin sorry to hear about Bob's mom  Hope you have a great weekend!

Anne Marie what a great memory :goodvibes I have to admit I was giggling about the sock myself :upsidedow

Vicki nice picture, thanks for sharing!

Tammi sounds like you all had a wonderful day! Glad you were able to meet up with Robyn.

Robyn hope Lucy is feeling better :wizard:

What a nice, memory. But Anne Marie, why do you only have one sock on? :rotfl:
:lmao: I thought someone might say something about that!! In the other pictures one sock is up & the other is down.

Vicki,
I have never done anything physical enough to require an ace bandage!!:rotfl2: :rotfl:

I was just burning CD's of our pictures so that if anything happens to my computer we don't lose the pictures. I found this one and wanted to post.

Cool! I love the shirts!!!

Wow. Were the boards down today or something?

We had a fun time in Baltimore. Traffic wasn't toooo bad, but there were some accidents on the major interstates, but I had the mapbook and we were able to negotiate around them. A little out of the way beats a lot of sitting in traffic.

So we got to Baltimore and ate our picnic lunch we took up with us. Then we met up with Robyn, Eric and the girls. Just as I suspected, Nicholas and Emma hit it off. We toured through a lot of the Aquarium and then went to the Dolphin Encounter. We were talked into sitting in the Splash Zone. I don't know which little imp to blame that on. Anyway, it looked like all was good, until the very end. Then we got a big dose of water. The kids got a kick out of it though, and had a good time. After that we toured through some more and we said our goodbyes. My clan went to the Immersion Theater to see the 4D show. Bethany didn't last through the previews. Bob ended up taking her out. There was a lot of things crawling under your seat, tickling your ankles, water spraying on you, etc. My kids and I liked it.

Of course we had to end our day with dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. ;) We have lots of leftovers, so dinner should be easy the next few days.

Thanks for joining us today, Robyn. I wish we could have visited more, but it was nice to see you and yours again.
Sounds like a fun day! Mmmm Cheesecake!!:lovestruc

Ok we have officially seen all 6 Star Wars!:thumbsup2

Goodnight all!:flower3:

Vicki,
I have never done anything physical enough to require an ace bandage!!:rotfl2: :rotfl:

The first time I sprained my ankle, I don't think I was doing anything physical - just walking across a yard and twisted it in a hole in the ground. Once it was sprained, it very easily sprained. It didn't really totally heal until I was out of college and no longer playing intramural sports.

Gary is making such great progress with our home, I am so pleased with everything & all the kudos goes to him. All I have done is help pick out colors, furniture, ect.

Our new end tables & lamps arrived a couple of days ago & they look perfect in our living room. Gary made a small table for the dining room & he tiled the top. It turned out really nice. He was able to find 2 bar stool chairs that have the same color/cushions as our dining room table chairs :thumbsup2

He painted the dining room 2 colors & got the trim put up that divides the color, it looks so nice & different from our plain white walls. The door in our living room that went into the foyer is no more & that is going to take some getting use to lol It gives the living room a totally different feel.

He went to Menard's today to buy a couple of things & came home with a new door for the bathroom(It was marked 50% off because of a few blemishes, but it is solid wood & will not be noticeable once it is stained)& flooring for our living room that he saved $50 on :cool1:

Our home is looking so different & I am loving it!

It sounds like a lot of you are having MIL or Mother issues. and :wizard: all around.

Vicki - that is a great picture of you all Segwaying.

Janet - I'm so glad you are pleased with the way the house is shaping up. Sounds like Gary is really working hard!

Those are the kind of bus issues I am still hearing about, from people who were there over the past 2 weeks. Supposedly the dispatch is by computer instead of humans, and the buses don't run in a loop. SSR to MK, but then instead of MK back to SSR the bus may be sent off to a completely different resort. There must be some logic there somewhere but the logic in theory is NOT the logic in practice.
The morning that Janet, Emma & I went to Epcot Janet & I were talking about what we would do after "brunch" at Cape May. Janet was saying she wanted to check out CSR (and POFQ). The bus driver told her he was going there next and then to something like AK then to say WL.....I asked him how he kept track of where he was going and he had his route pinned to his pant leg---so it was all preprogramed not based on demand or anything????

But once again I was there 2 weeks ago and had great service. In fact I really think I lost Emma's hat at the BC because the bus to DTD came so fast I was scambling to pack up the stroller. The only bus "issue" I had was the day I went to buy a replacement Timon at DTD. I was going to take a taxi over from Epcot but there was an OKW but right there so I got on that. I was the only one on the bus and the driver told me I should bus to DTD from OKW but we were chatting and the next thing I know we're at SSR-I had distracted him. I was pretty happy as I knew I could walk from there but he said he might as well drive me. Then I got a bus from DTD to Swan/Dolphin/BWI/YC/BC. The bus came in about 20 minutes but then went to the West Side and the driver said he had to wait for a new driver. There was a couple that had to catch an ME back to the airport. I offered to share the cost of a taxi but they said they shouldn't have to do that. We waited about 10 minutes for the driver and the "old" driver asked if anyone was going to one of the water parks and because noone was they skipped that (wonder if anyone was waiting there?). I got off at the first stop-the Swan and could see a boat was coming in at BW so I took that to Epcot. It was nearly 100 out and I didn't want to get too sweaty running back to Epcot.

Hi all. The recital went well. Long night, and then we stopped at Cold Stone on the way home to celebrate. Alyssa was so proud of herself. Especially the fact that she got 2 bouquets of flowers, one from me and one from her dad.
:woohoo: Congrats to Alyssa!

Bernadette, the skirt is adorable. She will love it.
Thanks! I made Emma a dress for Monday today. I just have to make the buttonholes & put the buttons on. I hope it is the 80 they are forecasting.

Bernadette - Great skirt!
Thanks!

Well, I finished the notes for our friend's trip tonight as they leave in the morning. Just had to finish getting the papers together and the little book made for them. (Schedules and touring plans in a little Pooh 4x6 album to carry along.) Now it's on to mine! Unfortunately, I've got to do some big rethinking. If Phil is still at this job (or probably anything else) that does holiday related business, he's blacked out for our Dec dates. I'll need to back up to pre-Thanksgiving or push to Jan. I've got the Sept dates booked for free dining, but still need to price it out. If we got pre-Nov I've got to decide whether to go close to Thanksgiving to catch some Christmas stuff or back up to early Nov for Food and Wine Festival. Either way I'll miss Candlelight unless we straddle Thanksgiving and catch the first showings. Argh! Don't they know I had this all figured out. Plus, early Nov is already under 180 days so I'd need to figure a schedule soon. Luckily TGM isn't quite to Nov yet so I don't feel quite so behind.

Anyone have any thoughts? Would you got late Oct/early Nov, just before (maybe through) Thanksgiving, or early/mid Jan? hmmm...What to do, what to do.

And now I just realized I'm pushing 1am and have to get up to take Phil at 5:30. Yikes! Guess I'd better get to bed and I'm sure as heck napping after I take hime! ;)
I would avoid Thanksgiving.:scared1: When I was there on Veteran's Day last year we got the tail end of F&WF (but it was scary crowded at night at Epcot on the weekend). And we were there for the first MVMCP (we didn't attend) and the start of Osborne Lights (the Tuesday after Veteran's Day) AND we saw the castle all lit up. We had perfect weather.

On the other hand my trip with Joe (Jan 4 to 11) was perfect! Very managable crowds! The weather was even better than Nov which I didn't think was possible. I also went to WDW for Joe's birthday in 2004 and we had some nights in the 30's.:scared1:

We can't send pictures from our cell phones to our AOL addresses. They NEVER come through! Luckily we have Cox accounts too...
I was sending photos home from Disney. I resent the photo from the soccer field this morning and I got it on my work email but not comcast yet.

they were all gone when we woke up.
:cool1:

I was looking at the "old pictures" thread & I got to thinking that I knew I had 1 or 2 pictures of me at Disney when I was 5. Just didn't know where it was. Well last night I found it.

We went for 1 day when my uncle was helping someone move to FL. It's from 1973. This is my grandma (who was 73 at the time born in 1899) She raised me while in her 70's. :worship: God sent me 2 angels (her & my uncle) to bring me up when my parents could not. I remember the Emporium & riding It's a Small World. Wish I had more pictures.

What a wonderful photo!

Well, the wedding was delightful, and now I'm off to help set up for the reception. So far, no MIL sightings. It's nice to know that Alan wasn't the only child to get her hate filled message. She sent one similar to 5 other children. We are all fed up!

Last night, Alan and I decided not to deal with it, so we took the kids to see Horton Hears a Who at the dollar theater. We went for pizza first, and then the movie. It was cute and the kids loved it!

Talk to you all, later!
How nice! I'm sure you all had a nice time at the reception too!

Does he want to come here for a beach vacation and just a little remodeling.

Oh yeah, the lit up castle. I forgot about that and want to see it sooo much. If we did Thanksgiving week we'd really get as much as possible done the weekdend befoe and slow down as the crowds pick up. By going earlier I'd really only miss Candlelight. I was just thinking too that maybe I'd get a few of the things we always seem to miss in if I wasn't trying to hit so much holiday stuff (which we also never seem to finish).

I love to read your "half-full" posts, Stephanie. You have a knack of saying things so well. I would not do so well. I would probably make people angry. :lmao:

I am a silver-lining kind of person too, and often want to respond that things will be fine. However, my two lovely, loving daughters often tell me that my expressing my eternally optimistic, rosy view of the world is not always appreciated by someone who is down in the dumps or needing to work things out verbally. :confused3 Who knew?? :rotfl2: So, I often keep my comments to myself so that I don't tread on anyone's mental brainstorming. ;)

But, Elizabeth... (listen to Stephanie! )

Thank you so much Elin.   Don't thread on the mental brainstorming!!! Perfect. Now I understand. I love you too.

I have the same problem Elin. I have to remember that sometimes when people are venting, it is just so that they can work through their emotions to get to a good place. I so badly want to help them get there quicker. Nothing is worse for me than watching those around me suffer and knowing that there really is nothing I can say or do to help them other than to just listen. I want to fix it!
Ah yes, the fix-it syndrome. I suffer from that so. I'll have to learn to just send hugs.:grouphug: :grouphug:

There is a 4D show down at Stone Mountain. I was so mad at my sister cause she thought it was funny that I was freaking out during it. I absoutely hate snakes. Thank goodness Stephanie understands and won't force me to see It's Tough To Be a Bug

Hooray! :yay: Do you have a favorite?

Anne Marie- What wonderful memories and emotions that picture must bring to you.

Vicki- That is a great shot of the four of you!!

Janet- It sounds as if your home is really turning into that! It's such a great feeling when it all comes together.

Jennifer- I am glad that your in-laws were gone before you woke.

Glynis- The wedding sounded like a wonderful day.

Tia- Where did you find the free summer movie list?

It was so nice to see you and your gang again too! I am glad the kiddos (or should I say imps ;) ) got the chance to meet. They are all Emma and Mo talked about when we left and when can we see them again!

I am sorry that Bethany didn't like the movie. It sounds like something that the girls would love so we are definitely going to make it down there again. What did you think of the rest of the Aquarium?

Your dinner sounded wonderful. We ended up at TirNaNog and we were not impressed at all. Eric and I split the Fish and Chips, it was good but not great. Especially for the price- for $12 it was one piece of fish and 6 french fries. The girls split an order of chicken fingers.

We walked around the harbor for a bit. Emma really wanted to do the Dragon boats but the line was too long. They were both incredibly tired and grumpy by the time we left.

The girls stayed at my parents last night. When we picked up Lucy they begged to stay so it was just Eric, Lucy and I last night. We grilled burgers for dinner and then watched National Treasure 2. We both enjoyed that and will be watching it again tonight with Emma, she'll love it.
