We were talking about going on Friday.

We are leaving late Friday afternoon for West Virginia for the weekend. If it was any other day I'd do it. Thanks for the invite!!

I didn't know that you were having severe weather. It's probably better that I didn't. Matthew was camping with the Scouts at Hickory Run State Park in PA last night, and I never even thought about bad weather. I hope that they didn't have any.



We stumbled on this last night, and the kids and I loved it. I'm pretty sure that I have seen it before. It was kind of fun knowing that we'd be back in August, and really hard not to tell the kids! I think I'm telling Laura on Friday when she and I are alone.

Hope Matthew had fun and was spared any bad weather.

Good morning. Not much on the schedule for today. I just cooked breakfast for Eric, Molly and Lucy. I never, ever cook breakfast on the weekends so it was a treat for him! We had French toast, scrambled eggs and sausage per Mo's request (so much for it being Father's day!). Emma is at her girlfriend's house.

I had a wonderful time yesterday at the retirement party. My old band director looked the same as he did 16 years ago when I graduated. Well he had a few more gray hairs! But it was so nice to be transported back in time for a moment and remember just how special he was and how much he really did for his "kids" and how much his wife and DD sacrificed so he could do it. It was also nice to reconnect with a few friends from high school.

I best get off my duff and do something. I need to work on getting the laundry put away AGAIN!

Thanks everyone! When he saw it this morning he said "COOL" so I think he likes it!

Ive been working on planning our florida trip---i realized im going to msis having the extra magic hours in disney--ive never stayed off property so it just hit me that i wont be able to use those extra magic hours--ugh!

Be sure your know the EMH so you can avoid those parks. You would probably do well to go the park that had EMH the day before.

I went ahead and reserved and SUV for the trip. $446 for 10 days. I will watch and see if the rates go down. All of the specials they have right now expire at the end of June. Since we didn't have to pay a deposit on it or anything I can cancel it if we decide we don't need it.

That looks terrific!!! I used to love to sew, but I don't think anyone here would wear anything that I could make.

Thanks! Not even at Disney? Miles wouldn't wear a bowling shirt? It's been fun sewing again. I have lots of things I still want to do before our trip.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Father's Day!!!

We celebrated Father's Day early as we have a birthday party for my neice & nephew today.

We made Dana a huge fry-up breakfast. The kids were so excited to bring the tray into their dad. Homemade presents & cards were given to him & lots of hugs. We did alot of yard work yesterday & Dana finished up our vegetable garden..he has such a green thumb. We have cucumbers, tomatoes, basil, potatoes, cilantro, red cabbage, broccoli, & cauliflower.
The kids washed both our cars which they had a lot of fun doing. Of course they all came in soaked which was fine as it was hot here. We took Dana to Chili's for dinner. I am not a fan of Chili's but Dana loves it & it was his day & we did have a nice meal & good service.

Monsters Inc was on TV last night so we all watched that & then after the movie they showed 4 pixar shorts which cracked my kids up. Daniel needed his inhaler after watching "Lifted". They also previewed Toy Story Mania which looks like so much fun. I know we just went in April but we are all "homesick" & can't wait to go back to Disney.

Have you guys heard of Midwest Airlines? I am looking at flights/fares between Orlando and KC, and Midwest is cheapest. American, SW and Airtran are all more expensive. Stupid American would send me to Dallas FIRST, and send me to Chicago on the way back. SW is direct but over $300. Airtran is direct on one leg, but takes me to Milwaukee for 3 hours on the other leg. Of course the dates are completely theoretical, I am just trying to know what to expect!

I scrubbed the kitchen floor this morning and have a pile of books that I want to donate to the library this week. I need to get moving now and head to church, Target and the grocery store since we will be home all week. Speaking of money flying out of ones wallet..........

I need to run out for groceries. I did get my potato salad put together this morning so that is one project off the list. I've decided to use marshmellow fluff to put between the layers of our chocolate cake. My grandmother used to make chocolate squares which were chocolate cake with fluff in the center with chocolate frosting. We all loved them so I'm sure the nostalgia will go a long way tonight
