Wonderful news! I hope you continue to do well & your princesses stay put a little while longer :wizard:

I'm headed home! :yay: A few extra restrictions, but otherwise we'll just watch (even more) closely and wait.

Details on the site, I have to turn this computer off before it dies, and get it put away before my ride gets here so I can get some edible food! :goodvibes

Poor Alan, I hope he is feeling better today :wizard:

Well, the ankle is swollen and pretty black. He did take some pain meds when he got home last night and fell asleep on the couch. He was going to take the day off today, but we got hit with a heavy rainstorm, which has caused most of the streams and rivers here to flood. They were already at maximum capacity due to the spring runoff, and this sent them over the banks. Alan was sent up in the helicopter where he could sit and man the camera instead of having to walk around carrying it. Thank heaven for small favors.

Congratulations to Colby!

Glad you had no rain & were able to enjoy the field trip.

Today has gone well. Colby made huge strides as his very first speech session. He learned to make the K sound and can now clearly say his name. His therapist was so surprised by his progress and I was so happy I may have shed a couple of tears.

The rain held off for the field trip. I wasn't prepared to hike through the woods to get to the brook. I thought we would walk the road. The croc sandals I wore were not the best choice for the woods. Non the less the kids behaved well and got all the data that they needed.

Dinner is in the oven so we're making progress and may even get to the concert on time :cool1:

My cruise documents have arrived...guess the trip is really happening!!

Elizabeth...come help me pack! :)

Yahoo! I can't wait to see the pics.

I'm so glad that Colby has already made progress. Continued PD for him.

We just found out that Alan's work will let him have 3 weeks paid "paternity" leave when the baby is born! They've never offered that before. You can bet we're going to take advantage of that! Alan's plan is that the baby will be born sometime in the second week of December, and then he can take the rest of the month off, which means he wouldn't have to work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. Like I said, that's Alan's plan. I'm sure that peanut may have plans of his/her own.

That's terrific news. :goodvibes

Marci and Robyn, I think you both could use a little pixie dust for all the sports stress! We just signed Alyssa up for instructional soccer (it starts up in August). I hope it's a pleasant experience for us all!

I'm sure Alyssa will have fun and learn a lot. The little ones in our leagues are so cute. Their shorts and shirts are always so cute -- lime green, bright purple and hot pink seem to be very popular with huge matching bows. I can't wait for my niece to play.

Jen - It's cute! It isn't THAT short. Mine is earlobe length in the front, and shorter than that in the back.

Jennifer -- your hair is very cute! I don't look very good with short hair. I'd love to cut mine off and shave some time off my mornings.

Elizabeth -- I don't believe we've seen a pic of yours...

Princess has gymnastics today, then we need to get her things ready for her trip. Starting tomorrow I am off until June 9! I suppose I should pack for our weekend while I am home tomorrow. I keep forgetting we are leaving Saturday morning!

Yeah for long vacations! What will you do with all your time? Re-work your adr's...;)

I had planned on starting to clean out more drawers and watch Lost last night, but I fell asleep at 8 and didn't wake up until 10:30 when Randy was getting ready for bed. I got up, washed my face and went back to bed until 4:45. I do feel a little better today.

Andrew has a game tonight if it's not rained out. Other than that, I'm going to try to start more clean out. Have a good day everyone. :)

Elizabeth I always fly Air Tran & the most my schedule has been changed is by a 1/2 hour. I was delayed last year in Atlanta with Chanon, but this was due to weather. Nothing you can do about that & they were great about getting us booked on the next flight. I now only fly non-stop unless I have no other option.

Airtran has direct flights in August for $263, which is better than what we paid for DH on American! You may check 1 bag free, and the second bag is $10 if you pay during online check-in. Good enough for me! BUT how stable is Airtran? They change their flight times A LOT, don't they? Do you guys think they may be in line for bankruptcy? Just thinking ahead since AA is going off the deep end. Obviously we are already ticketed for this trip, I was just looking to see what prices are.

Awesome! So glad Alan will be able to stay home & help out :thumbsup2

Yes ME will bring your luggage to the resort & Air Tran is one of the participating airlines for resort check in of luggage on your day of departure.

If Air Tran goes belly up(which I do not see happening)my trips to Disney will come to a halt :sad2:

I told DH we need to make some changes to the way we travel. We typically fly out on a day that he works, which severely limits our flight choices. If we wait and fly out on his first day off we can choose the cheapest flight. Coming home we will book the cheapest flight, even if it means leaving at Dark o'clock. That's all good unless the airline goes belly up. DH wants to know if you fly into MCO on Airtran if ME will bring your bags to the hotel?

Good Morning.

I need to get moving. I have a lot of prep to do if we are to work on the house this weekend. Lots of things to clean and put away before the dust storm strikes. I cannot tell you how much I'm dreading the sanding. The rest doesn't bother me at all, just the sanding and the mess that it creates. Thankfully that will only be a few hours on Saturday morning, but I'm still dreading it.

We bought a new water fountain for Riley. He does use his old one a lot and won't drink from a bowl. The old one seems to get slimey very quickly these days so I wanted a second one in hopes that it will make our cat sitters life easier. That cat now has 2 litter boxes and 2 fountains. He is not spoiled at all. His behavior has been much better of late so I guess he appreciates that we are spoiling him :goodvibes

I need to go over Colby's K sounds with him then I'll start on the cleaning/clearing out of the rooms. I have tomorrow to work on it too. Of course work will factor into both days and slow progress greatly.

Deb, yay for Colby! :yay:

Janet, I'm so glad your fraudulent issue was resolved quickly!

Marci and Robyn, I think you both could use a little pixie dust for all the sports stress! We just signed Alyssa up for instructional soccer (it starts up in August). I hope it's a pleasant experience for us all!

Glynis, is your morning sickness starting to subside as you head into your second trimester? Hopefully it will be completely gone for your trip to London! That's great that Alan gets paternity leave! I hope his injury heals quickly!

Jen, I didn't realize that your hospital didn't have a nursery! I can remember crying myself to sleep when the nurse (at Good Sam) insisted on taking Alyssa to the nursery for a formula supplement around 2 a.m. so I could rest. I was only in the hospital for 24 hours with Matty, and I was stuck with the roommate from Hades, so I kept Matthew around for companionship. Had I known that I wouldn't get a decent night's sleep for a year and a half, I would have sent him away for the night! :teeth:

Thanks for all the compliments on Kevin's little video. The clips were recorded on our digital camera, and he gave himself a lesson on piecing it together. He got ticked at me for saying, "That's it?!!" after watching it. He was in the basement for 2 hours, so I thought it would be a little more substantial. I blamed the hormones. :rotfl:

I hope everyone is having a good night! :wave2:

Well they HAVE a nursery! :rotfl: It's just that they don't staff it with nurses to take care of babies long term, becuase all of the research shows such an importance to rooming in nowadays. They take them for a bit when they are doing initial assessments, Vitamin K and erythromycin in the eyes, etc. Then they can take them for short times as I mentioned, but it's usually 1-2 nurses hanging out in there to sit with babies intermittently. That's actually how all of the birthing hospitals are around here now except maybe the Mercy hospitals (not sure), including Good Sam according to Kyle. The rest of the nursing staff is in the NICU or the special care nurseries, for babies who actually need nursing intervention or monitoring.

I don't watch idol, but I do live in the US. :teeth: From everything I've heard for weeks, I thought the person that won was going to win, hands down! :confused3 When I read all the talk last night, i was sure the other David won, which would have surprised me.

Jen - It's cute! It isn't THAT short. Mine is earlobe length in the front, and shorter than that in the back.
I agree. And Elizabeth, where is your picture?

Yes, you have been cryptic enough. Here at our house we were pleased with the outcome! I haven't watched Idol in YEARS but Kristin persuaded me to watch the past few shows. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
So that explains it. They were saying that the shift in demographics, less teenyboppers and more 40somethings+ watching the show this year, was responsible for the win.

Enjoy your time off. I have decided that I am taking tomorrow off. There is no way that I want to try to head south on 95 tomorrow afternoon. I'll never get home, and I have to have Alyssa at the school at 5:45 for her recital. The kids only have a half day tomorrow so if I stay home we will have a nice, relaxing afternoon.

Nope not yet! Why did you change your mind?
Nope, Just curious. I want to pay for as much as I can in cash so I was thinking of buying the ticket the day of but I do not want it to get sold out.

Morning DDA!
Today should be fun. Working at another office, then an evening meeting for a niche travel market tonight in Cleveland. Yesterday I bought new shoes for work and the wedding...still debating on the wedding shoes if they'd work or not.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Have a great day Chanon!

Not yet, I am waiting for my new card.
OK!:thumbsup2

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Oh no!!!

Dadboss used to work for American (Thank goodness he changed jobs, or he and I might BOTH be facing unemployment! :scared: ) and I asked him about Airtran. He said before now he would have had no qualms about booking with them, but now he might be a little nervous.

I am leery about booking on any airline these days, Elizabeth! Seems they can change the rules without notification, but when we need to change anything it costs a bundle. :confused3 I do not think this is specific to any particular airline, including Airtran.

We have not flown Airtran much... maybe twice in the past couple of years. We have not had a problem with ME or resort check-in with them, since they are a WDW "approved" airline. The only airline we ever had trouble with was Delta. they apparently tag some of their flights in a way that you cannot check your luggage in at the resort. We happened to be on one of those flights once and the people manning the Beach Club's check-in desk must have tried 4 or 5 times to check our luggage for us. Finally someone new showed up and said, "Oh, you can't do that flight." Would have been nice to know that in advance!!

I am glad to see your body gave into the sleeping urge, Marci! Sounds like you needed it! :goodvibes
