Flying on Saturday isn't a big deal because the fees don't start for a couple of weeks. And I can do 3 days with a carry-on. Going forward those fees will get expensive, like when we go to WDW next summer.
So, I just looked at SW prices for our dates in August (just for fun). $435, and both flight land somewhere other than our destination first. No changing planes, though.
Airtran has direct flights in August for $263, which is better than what we paid for DH on American! You may check 1 bag free, and the second bag is $10 if you pay during online check-in. Good enough for me! BUT how stable is Airtran? They change their flight times A LOT, don't they? Do you guys think they may be in line for bankruptcy? Just thinking ahead since AA is going off the deep end. Obviously we are already ticketed for this trip, I was just looking to see what prices are.
I think Airtran is here to stay for a while. They are a low cost carrier that seems to be doing well. Kind of like a step up from SW and a step down from Jet Blue. But not as solid as either of them, I would say. However, I would book with them.
for tomorrow. Enjoy your night out. You need it!

The liquidation company decided to keep them at 20%. Which is asinine, but they didn't ask me.
Things are not progressing the way everyone thought they would with an additional markdown each week. There is talk of some stores being closed the first week of June, and merchandise being moved out to other liquidating stores. That makes me nervous, because they may not go much lower than 20% before they give up and close the store!
Guess that means we'll be checking in at the airport!
