DDA Chapter 7

I never used one with Olivia. But I figure I might want one for the weight in lines at wdw in sept. as she weighs 16 lbs now at 6 months and she will be 11 months when we go.
Won't she be too big for a sling at that point? I don't know anything about them, so I'm just assuming. If she's walking, which she probably will be, or at least cruising, I think I would be inclined to just let her toddle around in line. She might enjoy being able to have a little freedom after sitting in a stroller for so long, and burn off some energy.

Have fun Jen. Good thing you are going on a relaxing cruise!

So on my way home from work I had to drop stuff off with a co-worker. Then I meet my parents and brother at Texas Roadhouse for a belated Mother's Day dinner. From here I went to the Verizon Wireless store to look around at phones. Then I headed to Target as I previously saw the Verizon enV there for $9.99, plus $35 activation. Since we have a family plan, my brother who originally started the plan had to be the one purchasing it.

Well I finally got someone to help me. He called someone else for help. They came over and then walked me to the register. Both said they had no clue what they we doing. They asked some questions and then got stuck, so they called and a 3rd person came over.

This person had sold a Verizon phone before. Since I already had a Verizon phone out of contract and my bother had a contract to add me to, they were baffled. So a 4th person came over. Who basically said they could not transfer service to the new phone or anything else we were asking them to do. But we were more then welcome to start a brand new contract. Problem is I most likely could not transfer the number because they did not know how to do that either. Let's just say we left and headed back to the Verizon wireless store. There were a few I liked but I did not want to spend $200 for a phone. I ended up leaving empty handed as I was irritated and could not make up my mind.

So I came home. I discovered that I have a renew every 2 credit online. Which I do not think I was supposed to have, but I am not complaining. So I ordered the enV 2 in Maroon. I had to put in a credit card number but the cost was $0. :dance3: :dance3: :yay: :yay: So hopefully I like the phone and have no issues. It should be here by Friday.

I some how got talked into being the go to membership person on Sunday at Dorney Park day. This means I am supposed to be there from 10am to 7pm, although I can ride rides and do other stuff during this time. Originally I was supposed to be there 4 hours and once those were up I could leave if I wanted.

I am thinking about heading to bed. I am tired from work and I have a busy weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well.

who knows Olivia did not walk till after her 1st birthday. She was almost 13 months. The Carriers and slings I have seen have had bigger kids in them in the pics as well

yep...it can be a challenge at best.

Thank you for that nice post on that thread! :)

slightly better....thanks! I put my own socks on today! :rotfl2:

You are very welcome! I figured it would be better to say something nice about you instead of saying something ugly about all the blood-sucking leeches and their laundry lists of demands. :rolleyes1
I am glad your back is getting better!

Well, they don't need fortune cookies and they don't need paper products. I'm just going to stop by a Chinese food carry out and get some beef and broccoli or some Kung Pao chicken or something. I don't have time for this nonsense. What really irked me was when Nicholas brought his homework sheet home on Tuesday. It lists the homework for the week in each subject and it is all due on Friday. Anyway, under Social Studies it had a reminder about the Chinese luncheon and it stated "each child is expected to bring an item to share." For whatever reason that annoyed me.

Yeah, well, DS is failing Social Studies so if I could fix it with chicken fried rice I would be thrilled! But the wording is a bit, something. Presumptuous? Rude?
He has a project due tomorrow. He had to make a "float" (think parade) on top of a shoe box. For some stupid reason he ended up with Greece again, same country he used for that 3D poster thing. I told him he needed to do it on his own. Well, it is due tomorrow and he had a volcano, a giant bonfire, and a tree. :headache: It's not Hawaii!!! :sad2: So I helped him modify it a bit but it looks horrible. He isn't going to get a good grade on it, so I am pretty sure he is toast for the 6 weeks. :sad2: I would have preferred that there was something good on TV.

Hey, if all else fails, just plant a big one on him!!!!!:lmao:

On Chris or the General Manager that's picking up the tab?:confused3 :lmao:

I'm sure you remember my Honda's little altercation with the garage last summer when Matthew was driving. Well, they were fighting again about a week ago. This time I put down the automatic garage door at the same time Matthew was lifting the hatch. Not only did it leave a lovely scratch, but the rear windshield wiper was caught and stopped working. Dh and I both looked at it and thought that it was broken. I took it to the dealer today to be replaced, and it only needed to be tightened. NO CHARGE!!! :woohoo: I'm still going to need to have the scratch taken care of at some point, but at least my wiper is working for the trip this weekend.

I'm glad that it was much less costly than you anticipated.

:wizard: and  to all. I'm in a bit of a post Disney slump. I'm sure I'm just exhausted. Maybe I can catch up on life and sleep on the rainy weekend.

Jet Blue changed our flight out in August from 9:50am to 9:25 am so we land 25 minutes earlier.:cool1: AND they changed our flights home from 1:30 to 2:45. This creates an issue because the earlier flight gave us better commuter boat options and with the 2:45 landing in Boston at 5:48 it would be tough for Dorinda to pick us up at rush hour. So I called Jet Blue and they changed us to the 4:30 flight landing in Boston at 7:25 so now Dorinda will pick us up and we get 3 more hours at Disney.

That is a win win in my book. Extra Disney time on both ends :cool1:

I've been having a really hard time the last couple of days with the fact that Matthew will be a senior next year. I don't know why it is hitting so hard right now. It is going to be so different when he goes away. Of course, I want him to go out and live his life and make his way. Outside, I am happy to help him prepare. Inside I am screaming, "NO! Don't go!" And I still have over a year. Guess I'm just a little bit crazy...

I took Laura in for the consult with the oral surgeon yesterday. She does need the frenectomy, and they have an opening for Friday. We were expecting to wait at least a month. I am a little worried about having it done the day before a major swim meet, but she really wants it over and done with. Matthew doesn't remember much pain from his the next day, so hopefully it will go smoothly and she'll be fine.

I'm exhausted just reading about you life. Phew, I'm glad I'm not that busy.

I made it through the night :cool1: The Dealership had 32 people show up. Me and a coworker waited on the party. Everything seemed to go well and the money wasn't bad either :cool1: I have to admit that I'm glad it's over with. I don't work again until Saturday night. The boys have games the next 2 nights and both Saturday and Sunday afternoons :rotfl:

CASSIDY HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

Thanks Janet for a scrapliftable post or two!!:goodvibes

I am too exhausted to reply, but hugs and high fives to everyone.:goodvibes

thank you all so much for the birthday wishes for the girls...I will have them thank you tomorrow. (Abi left the house at 7 AM and didn't get home until 9:30 PM:scared1: so she is getting up early to do her homework:headache: ). I just want to tell everybody how very much I appreciate you all.

Cassidy picked this design for her birthday balloon!! I know she will love it!!

Hope the postcards arrived. I used pictures as postcards. I sent one to Joe too and only Lizzy's which wasn't a photo arrived so far.

they did...they are beautiful!! I will have them thank you tomorrow after supper. I think Cassidy's is up on her board already.

Our last day is Monday, June 16th, and it's a half day. How crazy is that?

The girls last day is next Friday....Cassidy has to play for graduation and Abi is supposed to go to Mr. Biggs (think a bit bigger than the biggest chuck e. cheese). I am opting her out of it....big waste of money!!

so ends my posting party...

the local station screwed up this morning...they were supposed to announce the girls birthday and my day went downhill from there...Until my girl got home from school and then the other came home long enough to change and then we went to a birthday dinner...where it went downhill again. Then the final concert of this go round:cool1: and saying good bye to my mom. Since she was part of the downhill spiral this morning I was actually a bit relieved to see her go and I feel a little bad for it but not to much.

Cassidy then came home and did homework...I think I finally figured out one bonus point for having a birthday in July....no homework, school, concerts to have to do/go to. :lmao:

Our DDA family has brightened my life immensely the last few weeks and I appreciate you all.

Jennifer-how does Olivia feel??

Chanon, your favors do look great! :goodvibes
