DDA Chapter 7

it sure has turned into a text messaging world...I watch the kids do it and their fingers move so quickly....me on the other hand would still be on the 1st word

turns out it's a great thing my kid is a teacher's pet...she was caught texting in class and got her phone taken away from her....for a half hour:headache: Now normally I would be all for it being taken away for a very long time...but I need to use that phone tomorrow and Wednesday for work. :rolleyes1

OK. So I lied. It IS DVC for us this time around. :rolleyes1

Kristine suggested yesterday that I call Disney because there are some good incentives. I thought paying less per point would be better than the incentives, but on a whim I did call Disney after I cancelled the deal with Timeshare Store.

Turns out if we buy now we get 160 points NOW, and another 160 in December. Turns out we qualify for preferred financing through Disney. Turns out we can use our points for our August trip (our guide is holding a ressie at OKW for us) and get back the $1200 deposit I already paid. Turns out the refund will go on my Disney Visa, and I can put our down payment on the Disney Visa with 0% APR for 6 months. See how well this is all working?

The biggest problem is SSR or AKV? The incentives for SSR are better, but we LOVE AKL. So after hemming and hawing we have chosen AKV. I am just waiting for the guide to call me back so I can pay the down payment!
That is great! How exciting for you all! :dance3:

Told ya so...:goodvibes:rotfl2:

That's what I was trying to explain to you in my convoluted way...

I think AKV is a great choice for you!!

CONGRATS!!!

Great! Now we'll never hear the end of how Kristine was right!!!! :lmao: She'll be so difficult to live with. :rotfl:

Thank you!! And thank you for suggesting that we revisit buying through Disney. :goodvibes There was no way we could have gotten a resale fast enough to use the points for this trip, but doing it this way worked out PERFECT! I hope we like OKW!

Be glad they didn't charge you a $15 impound fee to get it back!

I managed to hobble out of the house and buy a new washer & dryer...I have no clue how...but I spent more on these 2 appliances than I did buying a car for Jonathan :confused3

This back pain is getting old quick...I couldn't even put my own socks on...

Appliances are expensive! :scared: But they are necessary.
Back pain sucks. It should be better in a couple more days, but until then you will have to wear slip-on shoes and NO socks! (Panties can also be tricky.)

That is great! How exciting for you all! :dance3:

Thanks! We are VERY excited and feel much more comfortable with this transaction than I would have felt with the other one!

Everyone who has gone there, seems to really like OKW! We've never been....almost came close this trip...but then our waitlist at BWV opened up.

DS will like it because he will have a bed and not a pull-out something or other. I think our other choice was SSR. Not bad for such short notice and needing a 7 night ressie!

That's great news. I agree that AKV is right for you. Aren't those bonus points da bomb. They really get you back on property sooner than you think. We loved the size of OKW and it is definitely on our fave list.

I was hoping that your back would be better this morning. Mine lower left quandrant is bothering me today. I also did nothing to irritate it :confused3 Is there a back pain virus going around? I know that I was on my feet a lot yesterday, and I didn't sleep so well last night, but I tried a nap today and that didn't help the back. It did a lot for my mood though :thumbsup2 I wonder if I've been stressing a bit about today's meetings, though they are over so I should feel great.

I hope you love it as much as I do!

Tammi - Have you heard rumors on when the Christmas Parade is being taped?
No, are they starting to fly? Last year it was the second weekend after Tday, which was the first weekend of Dec.

Elizabeth,
Congrats! AKV is a perfect choice for you! Everyone I have spoken too loves OKW.

Kristine,
Feel better. Don't wait over a week to see a Dr.

Theresa,
Good luck with everything at home.

well, I'm not big on chiropractors
Just trying to help you out. :teeth: I've never been to a chiropractor, but my boss swears by one. She'll get massive back pains about twice a year and she'll visit him for an allignment. Always feels 100% better afterwards.

I'm hearing the 5th and 6th...from a Pop Warner thread (which is a week later thank goodness!)

Elizabeth - I forgot to say congrats on DVC! I'm going to miss your discussions about cost benefit analysis of Disney rooms AP/AAA/40% off rates...

no....I just can't see what they could do for me...

I can't take pain killers as they cause major dizziness, etc

I had terrible back pain once when I had a kidney infection. I've also had it be muscle related. You really should get it checked out.
