I just bought a coffee pod maker...so my gadget quota is filled (at least for a few days) :rotfl2:

this is fairly new technology so I have every confidence it will be around when you are ready to purchase... ;)

We are on flood watch as the water is inching closer and closer to our basement, it's gonna be a long night. Eric is worried that the winds will do more to cause flooding than the actual amount of rain itself. It is miserable here and I hope this rain stops soon.

Have a good evening and I will check back in tomorrow.

Our flood watch has just been upgraded to a flood warning here. We have already had about 2 inches of rain here today and they are calling for another 2 inches by midnight!

Stay dry, Robyn!

Well I had a very nice Mom's day. I got some cute homemade gifts that the kids made in school, a necklace that Bob helped the kids get, and tix to The Lion King at the Kennedy Center in July. Then we went out to dinner. It is pooring here, so we sat inside all day and I showed Bob and the kids Anne Marie's pictures and TR. Bob then went to DCL's website and downloaded the e-brochure. We sat around watching the ad videos for the cruise. The kids want to go, I want to go and I think Bob is interested too!

Cool!!!! Any questions you have please don't hesitate to ask. I know you all would love it! Also the kids would have each other to go to the clubs with & that would leave some time alone for you & Bob.

Elin,
Wow, thats alot of rain. stay dry & safe!

Janet,
Is that a new ticker I see??? Ok now everyone is going in December & I am getting the bug in my head too. Now to work on Dana!;)

That's one thing I was going to ask you. I saw the one club was for 3-7 yrs and the other was for 8+. Sophie isn't 8 yet is she, so did she go to the 8 yr. old club with Daniel? How did that work out for her?

It looks like Janet will be there around the same time as us. I'm thinking the beginning of December will be good dates for you, Anne Marie! :thumbsup2

I still don't know what we are going to do about DVC. Some of the terms aren't what I thought they would be. For one, the rep said we could pay out the maintenance fees on a monthly draft to Disney, but the contract says we owe the 2009 fees in full by 1-31-09. Hmm.
The other thing is the 10% up front. That was just ME not understanding correctly until we got the paperwork. But our hope was to get the down payment delayed until closer to closing so we wouldn't have to finance quite as much. All this does is delay our first payment on the loan.
And then there is the thing about the approval not being valid after 60 days and having to reapply later on. I guess those things are minor, but they are making me feel kind of squirmy about the purchase.

Great job Beth :thumbsup2

Kristine hope your back feels better soon :wizard:

So I have injured my back...and I can barely move....this is the pits. I have taken every imaginable drug and have gotten no relief!

Sounds like a cruise is in your future :cool1:

I just wanted to pop in to wish all the DDA Mothers, and Mommies-to-be, a Happy Mother's Day!

We had a good day despite all the rain and cooler temps.

Leighanna made Angie a bracelet at school, although we think she used her wrist to measure it! DW is going to use it as an extra key chain.

Took everyone out to lunch, and did a little shopping. Came home and relaxed!

I am on vacation from work this week to work on the lawn, and clean up the landscaping, but if this rain doesn't let up I don't know how much I will get done. I guess I could clean out the garage instead!

Hope everyone had a good day!

Have fun, all you December DDAers!
Our trip last December fell sort of flat for me. I think it's because it was warm the whole time!:rotfl2:
But really, since we've gone the past 2 Decembers I am cool with staying home this year.

A TimeShare Store guy posted on the DVC forum that their bank usually returns a decision within 48 hours, so I guess if we sent the loan application Tuesday we would have an answer by Thursday or Friday, and our deadline to send the down payment is Monday. Or maybe they have to receive it by Monday. I can't remember. It sounds like we would ALMOST have time to NOT send the check if the loan doesn't go through. Maybe.

Evening everyone! Here's what my girlfriend and I worked on tonight! :teeth:

I'll be back when I'm done with Survivor! (Please no one post who won in case I don't make it through the whole show!!!)

Congratulations to Emma & her team :cheer2:

:wizard: that the rain stops soon!

I just wanted to pop in for a minute and wish everyone a Very Happy Mother's Day (before it's too late)

I hope everyone has had a wonderful day. I certainly have. The girls had already given me their presents from school earlier in the week when they brought them home so I got lots and lots of hugs and kisses. Nothing better than that :goodvibes

Emma's soccer team won their first game today, 3-2 :cool1: :cool1: After the game we had everyone over for dinner. It went well but I am exhausted.
