Is today over yet? It has just been a crazy busy day. I've got about 30 min until Terra and I need to leave to go meet with the nanny family. I'm trying to figure out how to relax and calm myself between now and then as I'm feeling a little high strung. Somehow I'm thinking the margarita stuff in the fridge isn't the way to go just before finalizing nanny-job arrangements. Hmmm, we do have Thin Mints...maybe I'll go that route or make some chocolate oatmeal drop cookies. I think we have a winner! Catch you all later tonight or in the morning.

i know some of yall LOVE build a bear. I have triceratops and a few outfits for her. does anyone want her? i just found a different one and i know mom would yell if i bought another unless i give/sell this one

Laura built the triceratops last time she went up to Build-A-Bear (also more than an hour and a half away). It is very cute and cuddly!

Hi everyone, it's been crazy around here, (like that's anything new). I've caught up reading and haven't seen any posts from Glynis, has anyone heard from her lately?

I was wondering the same thing. I thought maybe I missed her telling us that she would be away.

Our nearests will be Branson and Kansas City - 4 hours each. :blah:

Have you guys ever been to the Comedy club or Adventurers Club at DTD? I just read that you can take kids to those clubs, and they are family friendly before about 10 PM. Smoke free, too! We're thinking of going one night.

We went to the Comedy Club, but it was on our honeymoon trip 20 years ago. We did go to an early show, and, at that time, it was definitely family friendly. Obviously, that's no real help to you now. We were going to go in the Adventurers Club, but I don't remember why we didn't. I know we went part way in and then decided to do something else.

tonight was the best night--i have been so stressed from work this week and things have been crazy so i havent been getting home til after eight every night..tonight was the first night all week i was home on time (no errands!)..I also had the house to myself so i worked out and just took a bath an read a book..im feeling SO much more relaxed--and now i can chat tonight!

We were at both in October. We were there around 10 PM and it isn't a place that I'd bring the boys. We did see a comedy show after 10 pm and the content wasn't kid friendly at all. We loved it and would go again with adults, but I wouldn't bring kids. Maybe it is much tamer earlier

Colby is all set for kindergarten. I saw one of the para's at the restaurant tonight and she was telling me that Colby was very comfortable without Mom in the room. He followed instructions very well and showed no anxiety at all. I can't believe that my baby will be starting K in just a few months.

After the K screening we picked up the older boys and took Hunter to get his new glasses. They look great on him Then off to Borders to pick up a book that I had ordered. From there it was off to my Mom's as I had to go to work. So all in all it was a busy day.

We made it a point to go to the Comedy Club every trip when Kristin was in middle and high school She was on her HS Improv team and thought about going into comedy for a while. It is very family friendly in the earlier shows.

Went to The Adventurer's Club once and didn't "get it" at all. But I don't know that it is as "G" rated.

We have a dinner ADR for 6:30 at Puck's, so we could hit the clubs around 8 PM if not a bit earlier. I think DS would like the comedy because he likes "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Some other DISers were talking about popping into the AC for a drink so if they are going early we'll try to join them.

I thought the same thing. My girls were allowed to watch things more "adult" than their friends growing up but this would have been too much in my opinion. However, we were there after 10pm so I don't know if it would be tamer earlier.
