23! :faint: That's what I hate about shopping. But at least you got something! They are very pretty.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I should have said "23" suit/single tops/single bottoms...Gotta love the mix and match options now.

Enjoy your outing in the CAR!! :cool1: It looks really nice!

It is a cute car. Congrats!

Answer this for me Tammi..how come you eat ice cream & cake & keep such a nice figure??? I gain weight if I look at cake!
:rotfl2:

I also gain weight just looking at dessert...

The pollen here is atrocious and I am feeling really "yucky" along with everyone and their brother. I have been taking Claritin for the past 3 weeks and it is somewhat better, but today was brutal. I took sinus meds and am headed to bed. Talk to you all in the morning. Sleep tight, friends!

Elin -- I hope you feel better!

Good Morning, DDA! I finished the scrapbook of our Niagara Falls trip for my mom's Mother's Day gift. I was up until about 3:30 am, but it is done! I hope it will make it there in time if I get it to the post office today after work. I don't have a card made yet, but...

I think that the moms yesterday appreciated the Mother's Day Tea at preschool. The kids were so cute. They had been singing loudly every time we practiced the songs, but once they saw all those people in the room, they could barely sing. That was the 4-5 year old group. We'll see how the 3-4 year olds do today. It was a ton of work, but I think it was worth it. We are talking about doing a Valentine's Tea next year, because we have so many events in April and May.

I need to go make a few more cookies quickly. They ate more than I thought yesterday.

Congrats on finishing the book. I hope it makes it on time. The tea sounds like a lot of fun. Good for you!

I did it. I went bathing suit shopping yesterday. I knew that if I didn't go now, I'd never go until the season is over and I would never find anything that fits. I tried on 23 suits/tankinis. Two looked good. I bought both. I still can't get over how expensive suits are now.
Here's one (in blue) and the other in the red/black mix. I'm glad this is over.

Those are cute! I think I'll stick with the suits I have. It's just way too traumatic and my other suits aren't that old.

Please keep my sister, niece & nephew in your prayers this afternoon.

Will do. :wizard: :wizard:

I got a bit later start today -- had to take the kids to school, as Randy had to drive to Abilene for the day. I did get some e-mails returned from home, as well as a load of wash done and the dishwasher started, so a somewhat productive morning, but I best get going. Andrew has a baseball game (and possibly soccer, if the baseball coaches let him leave early but that's a long story).

Have a good day everyone!

I'm glad the manufacturers finally realized that not all women are the same size on top as they are on the bottom!

though it does make it a little more difficult for us girls who have a ton more to hide. I hate the "skirt" that is most plus size options...I have dang good looking legs and I want to show them off!!:lmao: The rest?? :confused3 how about a short sleeved shirt guaranteed not to ride up and show the miles of stretch marks I have??:thumbsup2

Vicki-your entire family will be in my prayers today!!

Have you guys seen this? It's kind of cool, we got a postcard with our mail today! Put canned goods/non-perishables out with your mailbox before your carrier comes on May 10th, and they'll deliver them to local food banks. We need to clean out our pantry anyway! :thumbsup2

Hi Karen! Am I reading the hours correctly? Is the person required to work 7 days a week?

I love the photo of your new dog. :goodvibes

I thought of you and Shocker today. I was at a kickoff party for a fundraiser for service dogs and the guest of honor.. the dog that was on the cover of the brochures... the top dog.. the dog who was partners to the chair of the fundraiser.. passed away this afternoon, just a few hours before the event.:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

There were about a dozen dogs there, with their puppy raisers. Wow, what a totally unselfish thing to do, to raise the dog and then give it away. I was really impressed with the volunteers. One lady was raising her third service dog.:goodvibes

Anyway, all of the dogs were yellow labs, they looked a lot like Trotter. Very cute. :goodvibes :goodvibes
I do have 7 days up there but I do give them thursday off. If they want Tuesday off too thats ok. I do let them know this in the interview and im also kinda leniant(sp) on when they need off if they have an event or somethig to go to at night or on the weekends.

That is sad about the dog. I know what the owner is going through and my heart goes out to them. Yes it is a very rewarding and hard job being a puppy raiser. KSDS has a lady that has done 11 puppies and then another lady is in her 80s raising one. she fell just recently had to give up cinnimon to another puppy raiser. Lisa the pr i am talking to is having a tough time with the one she gave back bc she wont be able to see him graduate bc she will be on a cruise during graduation.

Not sure if you guys have heard about this (or I missed the post mentioning it) but our Papa Johns is doing the 23 cent pizza today thanks to a generous Papa Johns employee. :teeth:. We had three people leave the office at 11am to get pizzas for lunch - and they promptly came back to the office with no pizza. Why you ask? :teeth: The line was literally around the block - at least 150 people long. :scared:

Have they all agreed to do this? I just get the feeling my post carrier, would just let the bags sit.

I really like both of those. :thumbsup2

Yes, I work all 5 days this year. Supposedly, they are only mornings, but we end up being there so much later with all the prep work we have. The 3's have class on Tuesday/Thursday, and the 4's have class Monday/Wednesday/Friday. My problem is that I also run a Two's Time class on Wednesdays, so we have someone else coming into the Wednesday 4's class. It really isn't working out. I don't want to give up Two's Time, so I decided to give up the 3-day class. The only reason that I even took the 3-day class is because our other teacher quit at the very last minute last Fall.

I am really going to miss it in some ways, but I think it will make life much easier to have Mondays and Fridays to myself (and my house!).

I'm sure that you'll like that schedule much better. You have been way to busy.

As far as I know it's a national drive, and as Federal Govt' employees I don't know that the carriers would have much of a choice!

My day started at 8:10 when SIL called to say that my Dad has decided to go afterall. She booked his airfare this morning. I got moving and started making phone calls. I had to call CRO to set up magical express for Db's family to and from POP. I also got a table for 6 at Chef Mickey's on the 8th as they were supposed to already be gone. I couldn't get a table for 11 so I kept our table and added another for 15 minutes earlier. Not a bad compromise. Then I called DVC to set up the magical express for Mom and Dad as they will be in our camper and are on our reservation. Of course CRO can't touch our reservation and DVC can't touch my DB's so it adds to the complexity. I also inquired about horseback riding and the photopass photo shoot, but the GF didn't answer and I'm not ready to set a date for horseback riding yet. :confused3 I think that I've done everything that I can for now. From there Colby and I worked on organizing our trading pins. The kids all helped for an hour last night, taking each pin out of the package. I bought a bunch of pins on evilbay. Some were identical to ones that we already own. I don't think I got any fakes as they truly look identical in everyway. :cool1: I think we're set on pins now. The only thing left are any new autograph pages that I need to create. That will require a bit of research. Soon we're off to Colby's Kindergarten screening.

Have a great day.

I love the Kinzpost sorter. The gem mining is absolutely the worst for me.

Tammi, there is a pattern to the grocery store. It took me a while to figure it out.

You guys are going to draw me into another obsession. I just know it! I almost bought a webkinz the other day but resisted the urge.

I really think Disney and Webkinz need to merge and create Disney Character Webkinz! Could you imagine if all the things in the employment office, store, etc. were Disney themed!!!! :woohoo: :dance3:

It is National and every year they've done it in this area there has been a seperate set of vehicles that go around and pick up the canned goods.

Good Morning DDA!!

Elin and Janet hope your dentist appts. are painless!!

Vicki-hope you have arrived safely to your sister's!!

I may have to check out Webkinz(but I really don't need another distraction!!).

Yes, I got here safe and sound about 1/2 hour before the kids got out of school yesterday. We had a good time playing with them last night. We also watched Alvin & the Chipmunks.

My niece loves her Princess dresses. She got Belle, Cinderella and a pink one (not Disney). She tried them all on and looked really cute. We are going to try to talk her into wearing the pink one at Disney so she stands out from all the other girls. We'll see what she decides.

My nephew loved the Star Wars figurines that we brought for him. He really enjoys Star Wars. He was looking at t-shirt designs and liked some Star Wars ones. We'll be looking at designs this week-end.

My nephew likes the pants & jacket that we got for him for his Prince Charming costume. Mom did a great job in finding them. The pants are white and the jacket is black. She has some gold buttons to put on the front and sleeves of the jacket. I found a gold belt. We just need to get the gold braid for the side of the pant legs and fringe at the shoulder.
