Hi there. :wave2:

We celebrated Kevin's birthday with his family on Saturday. I didn't take too many pictures, but here's one of the cake I made him and one of Kevin and the kiddos after blowing his candles out.

We ate at Red Robin for his actual birthday last night. Gotta love that free birthday burger! :teeth:

Tonight, our new pastor is coming over for dinner. I have some cleaning to do. :rolleyes1

Have a great day, everyone! :wizard:

Oh no -- two of those are the ones I go to if I need something. I don't even know where others are in the area... :sad2:

Have fun with princess and try to stay out of the rain today.

The remaining ones will be Stonebriar (in Frisco), Collin Creek (in Plano), and Grapevine Mills (in Grapevine). I know there is one at Parks at Arlington but I can't remember if it is staying or going. I don't know FW/Arlington AT ALL, so I don't even know where that mall is. :confused3

Well, I need to get my day started. I should be getting my shower and packing. Chuck would like to leave at 10am. Not sure if he'll be ready by then but I better be just in case. Chat with you later.

Safe travels!

By the way, I think I must be losing my mind, because I used to be so much better about keeping all this stuff under control. Maybe there was just less stuff? :guilty:

I think when you aren't happy with your job you tend to lose your grip on other things. That also happens to me when I am distracted by other things (my mother, an upcoming trip, issues with DS, all of the above...:rolleyes1 )
I hope the entry gets there on time! :wizard:

Well, I made our OKW ressies for December. I had to waitlist for one of my nights and 3 nights for my parents. I hope they come through!

Good luck!! :wizard:

Elizabeth, our band trip to Six Flags over Texas is one of my fondest memories from 9th grade. Yes, we were let loose, but we were all good kids. :thumbsup2 Now, the make-out sessions on the bus ride back to Baytown is another story. ;)

Gotta agree with Elizabeth!!

Happy Birthday Bernadette!!

What a magical way to spend your birthday!!

for the last three springs we have had a goose couple take up residence on top of the Sanctuary...Harry and Martha. Well, we think Harry and Martha subletted to a nice young couple....there is now a nest on the columbarium too. :goodvibes A few mornings the past couple of weeks the "boys" have been arguing...I think it's about time for the chicks to leave the nest...I have got to remember my camera!!

Well, DH kept waffling, which gave DS a foothold. I called his friend's mom to see if the friend is going. Friend's mom wasn't home, but friend's sister said he is going and so is she. (She's in high school and plays in the band over there.) As far as DS is concerned that sealed the deal. Then DH REALLY started to back-pedal, but I am pretty sure DS will end up going.
When I was in 7th grade we went to Gatlinburg, TN and Six Flags over GA. In 8th grade we went to Busch Gardens in Tampa, and in 9th grade we went to MK. But DH says "Times have changed since then." True, but he was the one who refused to stand firm and say NO.
The thing is, not ALL of these kids are good. (DS and his friends are, but the other band members aren't.) I worry about other kids who are there without an adult picking fights with the kids from our group and a general melee ensuing. Six Flags is notorious for having roving bands of troublemakers because parents buy season passes and drop the kids off, and it would totally be DS's luck to get tangled up in some sort of confrontation. :sad2: So we'll see.

Neat! :)

We have concluded it was a wrong number. And unfortunately yes I got hurt, I have a bruise on my left knee and the right one feels like I twisted it. I really need to learn not to run in the house.

Heidi - I hope it was a wrong number! I also hope you didn't get hurt when you fell.

Speaking of DS and his friends, this is really freaky.

I had mentioned here that a boy DS was really good friends with in elementary has become kind of a bully. I debated about calling his mom to ask her about his behavior (and give her a heads up that he is choosing some interesting friends), but I decided not to. DS has other friends, so if this boy wants to hang out with thugs and act like a jerk that's his own deal. If I knew he was involved in something dangerous I would call his mom, but otherwise the boys can work it out amongst themselves.

DS said the boy came up to him and told him I called his mom and wanted the boys to work on rekindling their friendship! :scared1: Um, NO, I did NOT. While I did THINK about calling her that was NOT the conversation I had in mind. I told DS I most certainly did NOT call the other mom. I did get an e-mail from her a couple of weeks ago that said she was going out of town because her mom was ill. It wasn't even an e-mail to me specifically, it was to all the 6th grade moms. I replied that I hope her mom is better soon and to let me know if she needs a hand (she is supposed to be organizing a 6th grade get-together). Other than that I haven't had any contact with her! :confused3 Weird.

The boy does have another friend with the same first name as DS (which isn't a terribly common name), so maybe his mom said "So and So's" mom called and he assumed it was me, when it was the mom of the other kid.

Marci, :wizard: for Andrew. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes they are. I have a SIL and BIL that both drive Volvo's.

My dh drives a '91 Volvo, and that has been a recent update in the last 3 years or so. Before that he drove an '85 Volvo. When I met him in 1983, he was driving a '65 Volvo. (That one was my favorite!) Those cars are built to last.

Can I just say, I still feel a little shaken up. :(
Wrong numbers are on thing, but a wrong number from a hospital is a little unsettling. I hope they were able to get a hold of the person they wanted.
