DDA Chapter 7

In conclusion

- Loved the room, location, pool, & entertainment at the Boardwalk.
- BWI CM's not very Disney-ish. We had 2 negative experiences with CM's beside the one I mentioned.
- The parks were the most crowded we have encountered however with planning we were able to everything we wanted with very little wait. I am still amazed how many people wait in line for over an hour & never use FP. Boggles the mind.
- Weather was beautiful. What a shock to come home..it was in the 40's here.
- We did not have the DDP & we missed it. I think we spent more without it (even with DDE) than we would have if we got the dining plan
- The cruise was worth every single penny & I would love to do it again someday.
-If we do a cruise again, book WDW first & the cruise after so we are nice & relaxed when we come home.

Awesome trip....thank you God for all our blessings!
And thanks to all of you reading along.

thank you for the wrap up!! Loved all the pictures!!

I chose neither....I am not a touchy feely person...and I have boundary issues. As I tell some people if I hug you I must love you...I have learned to accept hugs but kisses (other than from the girls and Jim) still give me the heeby jeebies!!

Well, I guess we aren't twins in that area! :lmao: My mother and sister are like that. I'm very lucky if I get two hugs from my sister when I see her. She'll give me one when I leave and if she is especially happy to see me I may get one when I get there.

Darn Theresa, then if we would ever meet I can't hug ya?

My family is very touchy, feely(sp?) so hugging and kissing is a way of life for me. And yes I come from a family who thinks nothing of kissing family members on the lips. (If anyone saw the thread about this on the CB, you know what I am talking about.)

I'm not caught up and have things I need to get done, but I thought I'd give you an update on Colby. I was correct, he has hand, foot and mouth disease. It is a coxsackie virus. It should pass on it's own in about a week. It could get worse between now and then, but so far he isn't at all uncomfortable. He is napping now though :goodvibes

poor pumpkin!! hopefully it passes quickly and relatively painlessly!!

The kissing thing is something that I can do without! However, I am a big hugger!!!!

i hired an attendant last week. Thursday she came and trained. Friday she took care of me and Saturday I got an email saying the she doesnt think the job is a good fit and she cant do it. that is the 2 time in 2 weeks this has happened. I am livid.:furious:

Does anyone else need anything while I am at Disney? As long as I can pack it & it doesn't cost thousands of dollars I will do my best to get it for you :rotfl:

A way for me to come with you!!!!!:lmao:

defiantly first tooth was able to see it today:)

Yay! I hope she doesn't decide to bite you with it!

I like hugs. ExMomboss does the cheek "air kisses" which I can also handle. In fact, the Uncles will sometimes do cheek air kisses, too. I always hug the Uncles hello and good-bye, and so does DS. I hug my cousins and my aunt, but I don't hug my cousin's DD because I feel like she doesn't really know me. My cousin doesn't hug DS, either, for the same reason.

Yes...we can hug...but if I had my druthers...I wouldn't do either.

I am sorry to hear that!
I know most nanny agencies enforce a "trial" period to make sure the job is a good fit for Nanny and family. I know it is very frustrating for you, but I do think it was good for her to be honest with you. Are you getting any referrals from agencies, or are you looking for candidates by yourself?

the program i am on i have to find hire and fire

I am sorry Karen...hopefully the right fit is right around the corner!!

Riley & his team played their 1st game this afternoon & they started the season great by winning :thumbsup2

It was so windy & cold out there though, I watched the game from inside my truck :rolleyes1

We decided not to start painting the living room or dining room till our furniture arrives. We now think the color we picked for one room will look better in the other & vice versa. I guess it will be a surprise when I get home! So Gary is painting our entryway now.

I need to do more laundry & wash the dishes, but what I really want to do is sleep.

Congrats to Riley!

Congrats!

Nicholas' team won their playoff game today, 1-0. Nicholas scored the goal. He was so proud of himself, especially since his Grandma and Pap-Pap were there to see it.

Congrats to Nicholas!

Janet and Bernadette - Have a wonderful time!!!!!

Ditto! I hope you have magical trips. The pics from Bernadette's look like they are having fun.

Becky -- congrats in the cruise.

Heidi -- sorry I missed your birthday/anniversary. I hope it was a terrific one! :goodvibes

I loved your TR and pics. Thanks so much for taking the time and sharing them with us.

I'm not caught up and have things I need to get done, but I thought I'd give you an update on Colby. I was correct, he has hand, foot and mouth disease. It is a coxsackie virus. I hope he's feeling better ASAP.

Not 'officially'--but i heard fromsomeone that works there that they saw the list---the first list had over 80 people they were interviewing --the second list had about 20 people that made the "first cut"-I WAS ON THAT LIST!!

Terrific news!

I dont know how many of you guys remember my friend Alyssa that we met on a cruise in January 2006. She was the 16 year old that my entire famiy befriended...Today is 2 years since she passed away--im sitting here listening to "her song" from Maroon 5 and watching the video that played at her services. I am still amazed that Alyssa had such an impact on every member of my family in the few months that we knew her--i cannot believe it has been 2 months..when we cruised in january with her mom and stepdad, i constantly was thinking that she should be there with us...
sorry to be a downer--just in one of those moods i guess

:grouphug: to you. It sounds like she was a truly special person. I remember about you writing about her after you met, and while she was sick.

I spoke too soon. It wasn't through searching my entire external hard drive. All the clipart and my first designs are still there. I just wasn't looking in the right place. :woohoo: I didn't lose them. This is the second time I've scared myself looking for something in the last couple of weeks. I really need to get these on CD.

I'm so glad you found them. What a huge relief that must be.

Karen -- I'm so sorry you are having problems.

Busy, busy weekend, and I'm having more sinus/allergy problems, but I did get started on my clean-out today. I'm looking forward to looking through all the e-mails and sending mine out tomorrow.

Good night everyone!

We're home and had a wonderful trip. I will be swamped with laundry, but I'll try to get on and catch up. Sending hugs and PD to all!

So Abi HAD to wear some of her clothes today...and said at least 3 times she loved them. The kid is an enigma!! But she looked dang cute.

We also headed to their piano recital. Both girls played very well. Abi played "A Whole New World" and Cassidy played "Memory" and Fur Elise.

We then went to pick up goodies for the party..the Disney stuff was at Costco and cheaper than it was marked:cool1: . Then at Party City to pick up silverware....Cassidy for the 14th time asked for a Sweet Sixteen shirt...you should have seen her face when I told her about Debbie's design:goodvibes . I got a monster hug and thank you!!:goodvibes

:wizard: and:hug: for Colby. I hope he doesn't get any worse

Anne Marie - your TR was just wonderful. You have tons of great pictures to jog your memory when it gets a little foggy. :)
I agree

 :wizard: hopefully the right one will come along soon
Yay! I hope she doesn't decide to bite you with it!
luckily its on the bottom so no biting should occur

Karen - :wizard: I hope the right attendant comes along soon!

Jennifer - DS got his teeth at 5 mos. and he LOVED to bite. He got the first 2 on the bottom, then the 2 on the top grew in like the next week. Every time we looked in his mouth there were more teeth. He thought biting me was the most hilarious thing EVER. My goal was to nurse for 6 mos, but we didn't make it quite that far! :rotfl2:

Denise - Welcome home! Glad you guys had a nice trip!

Theresa - Yay for party supplies! :cool1:
