...back to the Beach Club!
:thumbsup2

Anne Marie - Captain Henry was our captain when I sailed in 2006! He's a really nice guy! Who was your cruise director?
He was a very nice guy. Peter Hofor was our cruise director.

Anne Marie,

I just saw a PM from you from March in regards to a postcard for Sophie. It was under my old screen name and when I switched browsers and pulled up the DIS I found it. Does she still need it? I promise I wasn't ignoring you! :goodvibes
No, thanks anyway..it was for a school project.

Anne Marie love the pics and trip report
Thanks!

Well that's a no-brainer! :rotfl2:
:rolleyes1

Staples charged $12.95 That was the spiral binding for 5 books plus the front and back covers. It worked out to less than $3 per book :thumbsup2
Wow they came out great Deb!

TGIF! We've had a few lovely days around here, so we've been outside a lot! The Dell tech guy also fixed our computer, so I was finally able to get the pictures off our camera.

After seeing Alyssa with Baby Jack, I think she's going to be a good helper. :goodvibes Matthew on the other hand, well... :rotfl:

And Jen, Julie said you were welcome to post an update on the "Mom's to be Thread," if you'd like. :thumbsup2

Theresa, please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers!

Marci, I'm so sorry about the loss of your friend. :grouphug: Please take care, and TRY to take it easy this weekend! Thank you, thank you, thank you for the surprise package that arrived yesterday, too! :goodvibes

Jennifer, I managed to post a birthday wish to you yesterday on your birthday thread, but I never got around to posting it here. I hope it was a happy day, and you have a good weekend ahead!

Happy belated birthday to Alyssa, Tammi. :bday: I hope this weekend is far more relaxing for you than all the hubbub of last weekend! By the way, what's a good gift for a boy making his First Communion? We have a party to go to in a couple weeks.

Lindsay, I hope you have a magical WDW trip! :wizard: Janet and Bernadette, you too!! :wizard: Janet, I hope you are feeling better, and Bernadette, I hope all goes well, traveling with an antibiotic.

Anne Marie, your pictures are great! Hopefully we'll have a cruise in our future, after we're done reproducing Hardmans. ;)

Deb, I'm sorry things were stressful with the bank, and I hope you see a turn around at work soon. Your passport looks fantastic!

Grandma Stephanie, congratulations!!! :cloud9:

Glynis, how are you feeling? Did I miss an ankle update?

Elizabeth, your DS is so lucky to be DONE with braces at such an early age! I had to beg my ortho to take mine off before I left for my freshman year of college (I got them at the beginning of my junior year of HS). What a relief to read the update on your Mom, too. I hope everything all goes uphill with her recovery from this point on!

Beth, you have quite a list of end-of-the-year activities on your plate. One day at a time! I volunteered Kevin to make a picture DVD as a thank you for Alyssa's two teachers. As long as the other parents send me their pictures from the school year, it'll be great!

Jen, how did your stress test go this morning?

I know I'm probably forgetting things. :flower3:

I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!

Guess what Elizabeth, Marci and Lindsay (even though you are on your trip)?

Emma and I are officially booked to fly into Dallas on Oct 16th!!!!:yay: :yay:

That's great!! I can't wait to meet both of you! :goodvibes (And I would like to meet Joe, too!)

Those are great, Deb!

Very cool, Deb! DS refuses to do KidCot stations anymore, but I wish he still would.

The marathon weekend is Jan 8-11.

Well, off you go then! :rotfl2: Marathon makes the resorts crowded, but it sounds like you would miss them! :thumbsup2

It is the most beautiful day here! We had a nice time at the zoo, but it was PACKED! :scared: Lots of field trips.
One particular group in red shirts was quite obnoxious. I told my friend if those kids ran over us one more time I was going to complain to the school administrators and also request that the zoo contact the school and inform them they would not be welcome if they didn't control their students. Lucky for them they didn't cross paths with us again.
At one point I BELLOWED at them to WALK. And you know what? They DID! Now why couldn't one of the chaperones have said something instead of waiting for a stranger to do it? There is absolutely no reason to be running in the zoo, especially on a day when there were TONS of people!

Princess slept for about 20 minutes in the car, but she woke up when we pulled into the garage. I am afraid she may not go back to sleep. :scared1:

I meant to say thanks to everyone for the good wishes for my mom. :flower3: Hopefully the rest of her tests will be OK, and maybe her surgery won't be as invasive as they originally thought. She mentioned that the bills are piling up, so I told her I will help her fill out the claim forms if she wants help. Of course she said no. OK. I offered. :confused3

DS looks good without the braces. :) He was very happy this morning.

Amy,
The baby is so cute!! Love your new siggie!

It is busy, but the part that has me most stressed at work I don't even want to get into here. It's long and boring. I love the kids and the families, though, so I want everything to be good for them.

That sounds like a terrific thank you gift! I didn't take nearly enough pictures this year. Usually I make a scrapbook for each of the kids, but I'm not sure what I am going to do this year. The 4's class will get their memory books. We had them make a handprint every month that went along with the monthy theme. For example, in December they made a Santa and in February they made a heart. I think we are also making bags in the 4's class that will have each classmate's hand print. We have only 8 in that class this year, so things are a little easier and less expensive. I have 14 in the 3's class, and I need to come up with some ideas quickly.

if you havent tried glynis italian chicken TRY IT. the only thing my mom did different was she cooked the chicken all day so it was very tender and easy to cut with a fork.

Ok, I need this recipe. Can someone repost it?

Glynis' website isn't working anymore, but I have the version Dawn sent me a long time ago. I make it using regular cream cheese, plain Cream of Mushroom soup, and water, and it is delicious! I think I'm making it when our new pastor comes over on Tuesday night for dinner (we're in the process of joining the church where Alyssa goes to school).

Creamy Italian Chicken

2 lbs boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
4 oz of an 8-oz. tub of cream cheese and
chives
1 can golden cream of mushroom soup (can use regular cream of mushroom soup)
1 package dry Italian dressing mix
½ cup water or white wine
Angel hair pasta

Cut chicken breasts into strips and put chicken strips into slow cooker. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter or margarine, cream cheese, soup and Italian dressing. Pour mixture over chicken strips and add white wine or water. Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours. Serve over cooked angel hair pasta.

*Note: In my crockpot it doesn’t take as long to cook. You may need to adjust the cooking time.

Amy,
The baby is so cute!! Love your new siggie!

Thank you! I can't take credit for either though...Julie and Dave produced one cute baby, and Kevin created the signature. :rotfl:

My SIL is friends with someone who works at our Disney Store and she got word that our store is closing in six weeks. :(

We got in the cabin & hustled to get ready for Pirate Night. Dinner was in Animators again. These were the shirts we wore to the Pirate & Princess party last August.

This is the girl's with our server Galina, she was great.

Dinner was delicious! After dinner we checked out some of our pictures at shutters. I knew I would go overboard (no pun intented) on the pictures & I did. I bought the smallest package but then added. $350 later...

The show was at 8:30 but people lined up before 8pm. We got a seat down in front to the right. The show was great & there was a nice tribute to Walt Disney in it. The woman who hosted the show had an absolutely wonderful singing voice. The Golden Mickey's was even better than the Toy Story the night before.

Now it was time for the Pirates In the Carribean party.

Then Mickey flew down from the stack & they shot off the fireworks!

We went to get in the long line for the dessert buffet. Thye had every kind of cake you could imagine. We were stuffed from dinner but got a few things like chocolate dipped strawberries & went to Deck 10 to watch POC on the big screen. Yes we have seen this movie at least 20 times but never in pirates outfits on the Wonder.:goodvibes

You can see Daniel is not used to these late nights..he was fading fast but wanted to watch the movie.

I think we got to bed around 1am.

I'm sorry you are stressed at work, Beth.

You shouldn't be the one making keepsakes for the kids...the parents should be doing something for YOU! I do know that Alyssa's class has been working on individual memory books all year long, too.

I tend to avoid our zoo on Fridays for that exact reason. We went to McDonalds for lunch today, and there were some very poorly behaved kids outside in the playland. Of course, the mother was sitting INSIDE ignoring them.

we used helf light half weight watchers cream cheese and it was still rich and creamy

Well, I have officially started gardening on the Webkinz site, since harvesting is apparently a good way to make Kinzcash. :rotfl:

Did everyone enjoy last night's Grey's Anatomy? It was great to see Addison back. That episode was full of giggles! And Lost is just  I'm trying to avoid the spoilers, but the dead guy in the previews is someone we've seen before!

My SIL is friends with someone who works at our Disney Store and she got word that our store is closing in six weeks. :(

Oh no!! That stinks. My store was on the "non acquired" list but that changed & they are keeping us open, thank heavens.

Anne-Marie, those professional shots are awesome! Are you able to buy them on CD like Photopass? I love the jumping one!

Thanks, Amy! Wednesday could be the turning point day for me as far as preschool goes, so a few prayers that I make the right decision and a little pixie dust would certainly be appreciated.

Anne Marie, those photos are terrific! I can see why you bought so many! Your older daughter is gorgeous; your younger one is cute as a button; your son is quite handsome. You and your husband look terrific, too! My favorite is the kids jumping in their formal wear.

The lady who was checking in members told us not to come on Fridays! :rotfl2: The thing is, the housekeeper comes on Monday and we have to be here to let her in so it cuts our day in half. I didn't think there would be a gazillion kids on field trips since this is TAKS testing week!
Huh. That mom's "help" must not have shown up today. :rolleyes1

I did manage to watch Grey's. :thumbsup2 The only ones I watch are Grey's, Housewives, and Brothers & Sisters.

I heard that stores who are closing have received "liquidation" signage. An "appraiser" comes to the store to assess their inventory, then the whole store goes on sale. Presumably they start at 25% and continue to discount more and more until they get to 75%. Unfortunately 25% off of the pins (even with a 15% coupon on top of it) isn't that great of a price. I will be watching. Hopefully they will call me when the discount drops again.
