DDA Chapter 7

I meant to post the other day, but forgot

I picked up our Epcot Passports at Staples and they came out Fabulous:goodvibes I did a page for each country and one for each kidcot station in future world. Each was printed on 5 X 7" cardstock and I made a custumized cover with each of their names. That gives them a blank page above each of the passport pages which should give them plenty of room to take notes or draw pictures or whatever. I got a clear front cover and a navy leatherette back cover for each. They are all spiral bound at the top. The spiral will serve as a place to attach the little attachements that you get at each Kidcot station. Now we won't have to carry around those masks with the wooden sticks that don't fit well anywhere  I'm so pleased. Hopefully the kids will be half as happy.

If anyone wants the files let me know and I'll email them. I will even customize the top page if you give me the names.

 I know what you mean. We've had several incidents like that lately.

:cheer2: for LINK leader! Cassidy is a junior next year, right?

yes my baby will be a junior.

She is working on getting her stuff together so she letters this year:cool1:

I told her we'd get her a letterman jacket if she did. She loves wearing my school jacket from HS (from when I was in England).

Guess what Elizabeth, Marci and Lindsay (even though you are on your trip)?

Emma and I are officially booked to fly into Dallas on Oct 16th!!!!:yay: :yay:

Anne Marie,

I just saw a PM from you from March in regards to a postcard for Sophie. It was under my old screen name and when I switched browsers and pulled up the DIS I found it. Does she still need it? I promise I wasn't ignoring you! :goodvibes

My "Rabbit, rabbit" wish came true! :dance3:
My mom just called and said her biopsies from last week are benign! She has to go back to the OB/GYN for some additional tests on May 22, but she has managed to clear one more hurdle! :thumbsup2
It was decided tonight that I have no life:rotfl2:

I am more disappointed than Cassidy that she did not get flute section leader for next season. I so wanted to email the band director because Cassidy was a de facto SL last season and with the kid he picked (other than his) for section leader she will be again be a section leader without the recognition. :headache: I guess I am most peeved because the 2 chosen aren't neccessarily better players and one definitely is not a leader, or a marcher(heck when you watch your kid you see things happening in the whole section). I do love their program for next year though!!

She was, however, chosen to be a LINK leader for incoming freshmen next year. :yay:
Bummer about SL :woohoo: for LINK
I swear I showered!!:lmao: :lmao:

Good Night All!! (I just spent the last half hour putting my resume in for a job that caught my eye:thumbsup2 )

and

GOOOD MOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRNINNNNNG DDA!!!
good luck:banana:

Heidi, thanks for this great recap to ditto!

Steffy- Congrats on the safe arrival of your DGD.

Bernadette- Yay for Emma's spot's clearing up. You're almost there and it will be fine.

Janet- You too, you are going to have a great time.

And lastly,
Happy Birthday Jennifer! :cake:

Happy Birthday Alyssa!

Those sound great! Can we see a couple of pictures? How much does Staples charge for binding?

Today was my busy day. I had promised to help my Dad paint their living room ceiling while Colby was at school. That was no easy task as they have a tile ceiling and we had to paint the cracks between each tile with a brush before we could roll it. Anyway we finished up around 2:30 PM and Mom was home with Colby by then. I cleaned up a bit then headed home to get the other boys off the bus. I had put a pot roast in the crock pot this morning using the recipe that Glynis post long ago. I grabbe a tub of mashed potatoes, the pot roast, the boys and their Lacrosse equipment and we headed back to my parents. By then my Mom was heavily cleaning the woodwork. We finally decided to just bite the bullet and paint the walls too. And that we did. The pot roast was delicious although we would have like it to be a thicker gravy instead we had more of a broth. All in all we decided it was a keeper and it will be one of the meals we make at WDW :thumbsup2 We finished painting and clean up around 8 PM. Chris took the older two to Lacrosse and came home all excited and proclaimed himself a good coach  The best part is that the painting is all done and I won't need to devote another day to it :thumbsup2

We are trying one new croc pot recipe each week to see if they are WDW worthy :lmao:

I also determined that things really do seem to happen for a reason. Since I only had 2 shifts this week I was able to get their living room done. I also saw a coworker today and she asked me to take her shift tomorrow night. I really hope that it is a big money maker :thumbsup2
if you havent tried glynis italian chicken TRY IT. the only thing my mom did different was she cooked the chicken all day so it was very tender and easy to cut with a fork.

Thanks for sharing! I mostly wanted to see the binding, but I'm glad that you showed a bunch of pages, too, because they look terrific!

You may want to edit that top one, though, if that is your phone # on it.

I do think it's a great idea to have the phone number on there, though. It makes it much easier to get it back to you if it gets lost.

You are going to have such a great trip! I haven't thought of any special extras or t-shirt designs or anything.

Trip planning is my sanity in this crazy world. Between work and home improvements I am :crazy2: most days. WDW is what I look forward to. I'll be lost after this trip as it will be at least a year and half before we go back.:sad2:

After a very stressful day of dealing with our bank...we finally locked in at a rate of 5.875%. Its not as low as we had hoped, but at least it will finish the process. It turns out that we had deadlines that were never mentioned and the home improvements that the required weren't really required...you get the point. Knowing what I know now I should have locked in on the first day at 5.625%. It's an expensive lesson learned, but I need to get it behind us and move on. I'll spare you all the gorey details.
