It is in the Fort Wilderness camping section of the DIS.

I slept through it :rotfl: But Gary was up & said our windows started to rattle, then the house was shaking.

I slept through it too. All anyone was talking about all day was the earthquake, but it didn't wake me or Mom. Phil says it woke him up as did Erin.

Thanks everyone for all the pixie dust and hugs for Emma. She loved getting them from all of you, she enjoyed reading them. I appreciate it more than you know.

Pop Pop is one lucky man. I found out yesterday that a mini van hit from behind, he and the bike skidded and then he flew off of the bike and landed on top of a taxi cab. He literally walked away with not a scratch. He was taken to Shock Trauma because he is a Baltimore City Police officer. He was leaving work on his own bike but in uniform. It is apparently protocol. In the bed next to him was another police officer who was hit on his work bike and didn't fare quite so well. His accident wasn't quite as bad but broke his collarbone and had numerous internal injuries. Pop Pop must have one great guardian angel.

Wow! What a miracle for Pop Pop. I'm glad that he is doing well!

morning and happy friday!

I cant believe i forgot to tell you guys this--i got a letter from the place i interviewed at ...They said congratulations i passed the first round of interviews!!! I can get called when there are v acancies now!!

Now, have a great weekend!

That's great news! Congratulations, Jen!!

I'm really liking this technique! Do you hire out?

No way. It takes FOREVER. I finally took a break as I was starting to have an axiety attack. It is near 80 degrees here. I went out and laid on the deck for 1/2 hour. Now I need to get back to work. Ugh

Thanks!!!

Deb - the room looks great! What color is it officially? Is it a blue/grayish color or is that just my computer screen and the painters tape hitting my eyes funky?

(ETA: I reread this again. I don't mean your painting is funky, I meant I wasn't sure the color was because of staring at this computer screen all day.)

It's actually green. It is kind of a marble effect.

I like it! It's looks wonderful Deb! You'll have to explain the marble effect that you're doing when you feel like taking another break. (Though it is almost 5 o'clock somewhere!)

Deb - It looks great!!! Love the technique and color!

Amy and Kristine,

How did you like your photoshoots at the Grand Flordian. Trying to decide if we want to do this and if we want GF or the Poly

we thought it was well worth the money....and we will do it again

Amy and Kristine,

I just ripped this recipe out of a magazine at the doctor's office this morning, so obviously, I haven't tried it yet. :teeth:

Chicken Club Salad

Serves 4
Prep time: 20 minutes
Total time: 45 minutes

What you'll need:
6 slices bacon
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
coarse salt and ground pepper
3 plum tomatoes, quartered lengthwise, seeded, and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
2 celery stalks, sliced crosswise 1/4 thick
1/2 cup light mayonnaise
1 tablespoon white-wine vinegar
lettuce leaves for serving

What to do:
1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and lay bacon in a single layer. Bake until bacon begins to render its fat (about 10 minutes). Turn bacon over and slide to one side of baking sheet. Season chicken with salt and pepper and place on baking sheet. Bake until bacon is browned and crisp and chicken is cooked through (about 15-20 minutes).

2) Transfer bacon to paper-towel-lined plate and let drain, then crumble. Let chicken cool completely. Meanwhile in a large bowl, combine tomatoes, onion, celery, mayonnaise, and vinegar.

3) Cut chicken into 1/2 inch chunks and add to bowl. Season with salt and pepper and toss to coat. Serve chicken salad over lettuce leaves and sprinkle with bacon.

Sounds yummy!
