Has anyone heard if there is going to be a Summer DVC party this year? We had so much fun last year that we are hoping they do it again :thumbsup2

Honestly, I know nothing about WDW or DVC right now. I have not really even read newsletters, etc since we aren't going back for so long!

morning and happy friday!

I cant believe i forgot to tell you guys this--i got a letter from the place i interviewed at ...They said congratulations i passed the first round of interviews!!! I can get called when there are v acancies now!!

Now, have a great weekend!

Congratulations, that is wonderful news!

Hey Jen, Kristine, and Janet!

Did you feel the earthquake this morning?!!!

The one night I almost slept through the night, I woke up to our house shaking at 5:39 a.m.

I talked to Eric this morning for a while on his way to work and he asked the same thing, so I had to look at a news website to see what he was talking about! Kyle and I were both awake and felt nothing, so I'm thinking we were in a pocket that didn't have anything to feel! :confused3 Eric said (he lives on the west side) that he and his roommate were woken from sleep and jumped up completely freaked out for a minute it was so strong (and for so long), so I'm guessing we would have felt something!

Last night, we went to Julie's house. It was Carli's 8th birthday, and she recently made her First Communion, so I made her a cake and took over some homemade burritos for dinner. We had a great visit, but poor Julie is definitely ready for Tuesday! Please keep her in your prayers.

I don't think I've told you all this, but since this fall, we've had over 100 car break-ins in Sharonville. Our van had been rummaged through several months back (it was unlocked, which was a blessing, since they were smashing out windows of locked vehicles), but I guess Disney CDs weren't very appealing. Now it seems the thieves are getting bolder, breaking into detached garages. My FIL, who lives less than a mile away, had over $750 of tools stolen. They have finally set a reward for information, so hopefully they'll catch the culprits soon!

In other news, Matty was putting his toys in "mime out" yesterday. :rotfl:

I have a doctor's appointment this morning, so I better get moving.

I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Maybe on bedrest, I can look at the news or something on occasion. I had no idea this was going on! I'm glad nothing really happened with your van, but I can't believe they are getting into garages now! I hope they are caught quickly!

Congrats!!

Anne Marie - I can't believe I missed you! Have a WONDERFUL time!!! :dance3:

Tammi & Janet - MK on 8/13 sounds good! DS likes to ride everything, too. I can see how Nicholas would get tired of the girls after awhile! :rotfl:

I babysat after work last night and we had HUGE storms. The hail they had west of here completely covered the ground like snow. They were saying we were going to get hail from egg to baseball size, and my car was outside! :scared1: Luckily the hail was brief and pea-size at best, the kids slept through it, and the electricity was only out for a minute. That house is DARK with no electricity!

Today I'm taking Princess to the play area at the mall, then we are hitting the sale at Macy's! :)

That is terrific news Jen! WTG!

I'm glad Julie is almost to delivery. She will definitely be in our prayers. I love that Matty put his toys in mime out. :rotfl:

Jake's game almost finished before the lightening got too close last night. We were ahead 16 - 3, I think, so I hope the coach of the other team says enough is enough and doesn't make us play the last half inning. We did get the storm that went through DFW, but not the grapefruit size hail that was reported. Ours looked more like nickel-size and I don't think we had any damage -- didn't hear any windows break.

The boys are out of school today, so they'll be in to work soon. I have a lot of errands for Admin's week next week, so I'll drop Jake off for a playdate later, and Andrew and I will run the errands. Andrew is supposed to have a game tonight, so I'm hoping that they still play. The wind got up so bad last night and the dust was blowing so that we were all miserable. At least if they play tonight, it will be much more pleasant and I won't be leaving dirt behind me when I walk like Pigpen...

Have a good day everyone!

Glad you all are safe after the earthquake!

Amy - Sorry to hear about your FIL's break-in. :guilty: Hopefully the criminals will be caught soon!
We have had a bunch of car arsons on the news. They caught 4 teenagers but more cars were torched after they caught them, so I don't think the police know what to do next.

Amy sorry to hear about the break in's!

:wizard: for Julie

I came back on to check that all our Midwestern DDA friends are OK!

Good Morning DDA!

At precisely 5:39 a.m. I was in my car driving home from work, so I felt nothing, but I sure heard all about "the earthquake" on the radio on my drive home.

Jen, congrats!

A nice blanket of :wizard: to everyone else!

Have a great day!

I actually thought you were crazy...but then I looked it up on the Internet!! We felt nothing!! But the article said it shook buildings in the downtown loop :scared1: Bill just watched the news and apparently there is a crack that goes from one side to the other on the express way about 5 miles away.

Hey Jen, Kristine, and Janet!

Bernadette did you decide which place for breakfast?

I would be happy to, except that Sandy doesn't have any points left over. :(

I have rented points in the past with good success on the DIS board here. There is always someone there with points to rent.
Ok, thanks Elin.

Great news!!!:cool1:

Thanks everyone for all the pixie dust and hugs for Emma. She loved getting them from all of you, she enjoyed reading them. I appreciate it more than you know.

Pop Pop is one lucky man. I found out yesterday that a mini van hit from behind, he and the bike skidded and then he flew off of the bike and landed on top of a taxi cab. He literally walked away with not a scratch. He was taken to Shock Trauma because he is a Baltimore City Police officer. He was leaving work on his own bike but in uniform. It is apparently protocol. In the bed next to him was another police officer who was hit on his work bike and didn't fare quite so well. His accident wasn't quite as bad but broke his collarbone and had numerous internal injuries. Pop Pop must have one great guardian angel.

Robyn happy to hear that Pop pop is doing well :goodvibes

You are absolutely right!

All you that were in the earthquake's area, I am glad that you all are safe.

Yay for all you Dallas area DDA'ers that the hail didn't do much damage and that you all are safe.

Jen- :cool1: :cool1: on the job front!

Jennifer- I am so happy that you are holed up at Chateau Kaufman. Enjoy the rest and everything will fall into place.

Amy- I am sorry to hear about the break-ins in your area. We have had stuff taken from our van and we also had our car stolen the summer Molly was born. It was not a fun experience and it certainly leaves you scared. Hope that doctor appointment goes well!

:wizard: for Julie

I know I am missing a bunch of you, I did read but nothing seems to stick any longer

Jackie survived the concert...this morning she informed us it was "the most amazing night of her life" :rotfl2:I will be forever grateful to the guy who ended up taking them and standing for 6 hours :scared1:

a funny side note...a bunch of people wanted to know where they bought their concert t-shirts!! I felt good that the design I made passed the test!
