:wizard: Hope he's up for school!

The kitchen is loaded!!!
WOW!!!

I also cooked an amazing dinner, if I do say so myself! Bob and I have been reading WDW menus and I have been reading dining reviews on the DIS so I decided I am going to start to cook again on the weekends.

Tonight's menu:

Boneless Beef Short Ribs with Cabernet Sauvignon Reduction

Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes

Steamed Fresh Vegetable Medley

HRM Rex Goliath California Cabernet Sauvignon 2003

Dessert....

wait for it.....

bet you won't believe it.....

Smores! :rotfl2:
Can I come next weekend?

So i have to show you guys what i think we may do on one of our stops in alaska...im so excited about it
Within a few miles of Juneau you will be in transported back in time to relive the spirit of the gold rush with an Iditarod Dog Musher and his team of Alaskan huskies. After a drive along Gastineau Channel and into the remote Sheep Creek Valley, you'll arrive at the Sled Dog Summer Camp and be greeted by an Iditarod Musher and the team of Alaskan huskies. Your musher will guide you through an educational tour of the camp, located on the actual site of the AJ Mine. See a replica of an Iditarod Race checkpoint and go through the steps the musher goes through as if you were actually arriving at the checkpoint with him. Learn how dog care and the health of the musher's dogs are his two greatest concerns. Visit the puppies and take part in their initial social training. Interactive and Interpretive displays of the Alaskan gold rush days and sled dogs, then and now, are placed within walking distance throughout the Camp. Visit your musher's wall tent and learn what it's like to live in the middle of 120 huskies. Climb aboard a wheeled dog cart and experience the thrill of mushing approximately 1.5 miles through Sheep Creek Valley behind a team of highly trained Alaskan Huskies.
Emma would LOVE that! She says she's going to live in Alaska because she wants a husky but she HATES the cold. I think she'll figure out that you don't have to live there to get a husky.

Pictures from Molly's celebrations..
Happy Birthday Molly!!!!

Everything looks wonderful!

The kids are off this week and I'm hoping that I can get the hall and entry painted and back together. Our appraisal is on the 21st so it would be nice to have that area completed. I'm hoping that I can pick away at it. I also have to work 5 nights this week :headache: The money will be nice, but It will slow things down here.

Tomorrow I will try to get the ceiling painted and maybe just maybe catch up on laundry.
:wizard: Goodluck getting it done!!

Here are the kid's sleep pants. I forgot to make the pattern big enough for the elastic casing and hem so I had to add cuffs. I was able to find a coordinating print for Emma's. They all loved them!

I also bought a PDF file for an ALine top. I made one for Lizzy first to practice on:

I still need to refresh myself on how to do button holes. Lizzy tried it on and it looks so cute!

Here's Emma's Car's A Line top and I made shorts to go with it.

And some things I'll be working on.....

The fabrics for Lizzy's twirl skirt:

I'll make Lizzy an A Line top and white shorts with matching cuff out of this:

I bought these fabrics years ago to make Lizzy & Emma pillowcases but now I'm thinking I might make them A Line dresses for CP. You don't think Lizzy is too old for that fabric (the green one) do you?

Bernadette
The pants look great. Love the tops. I am so wanting to learn how to sew now. I have been looking at the dis boutique thread and am in awe!!

Can't wait to see the rest of the stuff you make

Please remember, my house is the same age as me....

This is the yucky color it was before...

Basically, anything would be an improvement...

This is without the hardware and stuff. I still have to put the baseboard up, but it is so bright and organized, I like it a lot.:dance3: :dance3:

Thanks! The tops were a bit more complicated-not something I would try to start with but the pants were great and the instructions were so super clear-much better than a commercial pattern. The pattern was something like $9.95 but you get size 1 to 10 and American Girl Doll sizes too. AND the instructions were just so good. It was a really great way for me to get back into sewing. It was Easy Fit Pants from www.youcanmakethis.com.

Nice!!!

So we are changing our dates.

Jeff thinks it will be cooler and less crowded in Sept. We thought about going for our Anniversary but free dining stops on the 20th. Our Anniversary is on the 28th.

We are now leaving the house on the 13th driving to Houston to see an Astros game at 6pm. after the game drive to the other side of Houston. Stay overnight at a hotel, get up around 5am and head to Disney. Arrive late on the 14th stay thru the 22nd and head home. Thinking of doing MNSSHP on the 16th.

How does this sound?

Bernadette - your sewing projects look great! And, no... I don't think Lizzy is too old... did you ask her?

Stephanie - Love the new kitchen. It is so bright!

As long as you can stand to wait that long I think it is a great idea, Jennifer. :thumbsup2

Good Morning!

Robyn, thanks for sharing picures of Molly's party. The cake looked great! The cupcakes were really cute too!

Steffy, your kitchen looks great! A coat of paint sometimes does wonders!

Bernadette, your becoming a sewing junkie like me!;) Everything looks great! I have a Lightning McQueen outfit to make for Leighanna yet too! I really like how yours turned out!

I have been so busy with work, and other things that I rarely get enough time to post anymore!

Off to get Leighanna ready for school.
Leighanna is having issues with some older kids on her bus, so I have opted to drive her to school, and pick her up. She is starting to get anxiety attacks, and she is making herself sick just thinking about riding the bus.
She used to love the bus, but all it takes is a few rude kids, who like to pick on little ones to ruin the whole experience!:sad2:

Have a great day all!
