I was thinking the same thing. Yet, we are the only ones that seem to be here now. Do you think they are trying to tell us something? :lmao: :rotfl:

Elin & Elizabeth really seemed to have a big chat fest!

Just today (I think). ;)

Now, you sound like them. I will tell you the same thing - I am not doing a fashion show. I had to try them all on once at the freakin' store and I'm not doing it again! I'll try to remember to get pictures when I wear them.

:rotfl2: I guess that'll have to do!

Yes, the Disney Store. Do you want to borrow one, or do you want to get one for her to keep?

I don't know that she cares to keep it. She is a size 8. I'd have to ask my sister if my niece wants one to keep or just to wear. I'm assuming just to wear would be awesome! My niece was talking about using her $50 Disney Dollars that she got from Chuck & I for Christmas and Easter to buy a dress when she got there. We, of course, don't want her to do that which was why I was going to try to buy one ahead of time.

She has already colored a picture for Belle and is working on one for Ariel. She wants to give it to them when she meets them.

We have breakfast scheduled at CRT and I'm trying to decide if we should book a dinner at Akershus. I'd also like to book something at Chef Mickey's, Tusker House, Crystal Palace so that they can meet some characters without the line. We were going to avoid the buffets but we are thinking we might book them anyway.

OK, dinner is over and I am sleepy. I think I will read a bit and then head to bed early. I hope you all have great evenings, friends. See you in the morning. :)

For some reason I thought she was closer to Alyssa's age. Sorry I can't help you. All of our dresses are smaller than that.

Thanks so much for the offer anyway. She is 7 but we just bought her size 8 clothes for Easter.

I think I'm heading to bed too. Goodnight.

Well, we had a nice weekend visiting with my parents. It always goes by way too quickly and tomorrow it's back to work for me.

I'm wondering if anyone of you have any advice for this situation. Karen, you probably would have the closest experience with what I need.

Remember back in October when my aunt (dad's sister) dies suddenly? Well, her husband, my uncle, died at the beginning of March. They have a daughter, Michele, 47 years old, who is mildly mentally retarded. She has lived all her life with them. Now she has no one and has been staying with my parents since January, when her dad was hospitalized. Unfortunately her parents had not made any arrangements for her care upon their deaths. It is taking quite a toll on my mom and dad. My cousin, who is in CA, and I are the executors of their estates and her Trust, so it is now up to us to find care for her. She is not dependent, but can only stay alone for short periods of time, and not overnight. She more or less needs someone to 'watch' her and prepare her meals. Ideally we would like to find someone to stay in her home with her, but that is very risky, with what goes on in today's world. Second option is finding a facility that will take her. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on where to start or have any of you had any experiences like this? My mom and dad have given me some places to start, and I will do that tomorrow.

Tammi- I am sorry that you and your family have to deal with this.:wizard:  :grouphug: I know it is not easy, I hope that you can quickly come up with a solution for the family.

It sounds to me like if you can get someone there to stay with her, for now she should be OK. Also so she can get social time with others an Adult Day Care for special needs would be a good option. She could spend the day at the Adult Day Care, some of them provide transportation and then have someone come to stay with her in the evening and night. Instead of a full blown group home setting.

A Place like Supportive Concepts for Families that offers Adult Day Care, In Home care and Group Home care seems like it would be a good one stop type service, that way if things change and she can no longer stay living at home it would just be the transition to a group home or other living arrangement.

I know you have said your parents live in the Pittsburgh area, I found this which has a range of services or this one. I really have no clue if these offer services in the area you need.

Good luck to you as you determine what is best for the family. :wizard: :grouphug: to help you get through it.

Now I am wide awake and need to head to bed. If I could only get my body to not always be on a wacky schedule I might get things accomplished. Night all!

you all were chatty today...I cleaned bathrooms and did laundry:eek:

Loved all your pictures, Theresa! And the girls are just lovely. :)

Theresa, nice pictures. And Abi is like me, no pictures please.

Good morning.

I have been up with my Sophie since 4am. She said she had to throw up & is running a fever. Shes so squishy when she sick. I feel bad for her.

Theresa,
Nice pictures

Tammi,
I am sorry I cannot be of help with regards to your family situation. That must be very hard on your parents.

Anne Marie - I hope Sophie gets to feeling better and no one else in the family gets sick. What a way to spend Spring Break. :sad2:

Anne Marie -- Hooray for cruise docs! :cool1: I hope Sophie feels better quickly! :(

Tammi -- If you were in Ohio, I'd have tons of resources for you. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about PA (?) I can't remember right now where they are ) assistance. Let me know where, and I'll contact Maxim in that area (I'm sure there is one) and see if the director there has any suggestions. That's part of our job! :goodvibes

Vicki -- how cute that your neice has colored pictures for the princesses! :lovestruc Your family is going to have such a great time!

Theresa -- great pictures! The gorilla statue looks like just a gorilla of ours (um, Cincinnati's, not the Kaufmans' ;)) that died not too long ago! The pictures of the girls are beautiful!
