Good Morning DDA

Love the Easter Egg pictures Robyn

Elizabeth - I hope you're feeling better soon

We're off to Mobile to visit with our youngest today, then we are going to DH's sisters for a cookout tomorrow.

Have A Great Easter Everyone!

We have a compaq desktop we love. Unfortunately, our only good experiences with laptops have been Apple, but I will tell you I never had ANY experience with HP/Compaq notebooks -- so nothing bad to report at least! ;)

Good luck, Jen! I still hope they do something extra for your trouble (although it would be shocking, with computer companies  )

Oh no! I hope you're feeling better this morning. Any idea what it was?
:

I have no idea about computers..i think im going to a store today to look at other computers...ill probably order one this weekend--i dont want to be without a computer!

No idea what the allergic thing was--im still a bit swollen, but not nearly as bad

Thanks, Jennifer! Unfortunately I feel like crap this morning. My throat is killing me!

I wish my Dr. had Sat. AM hours like the pediatrician. I have a little congestion that I can deal with but my throat is a mess. It hurts all the way up into my ears. Princess is still on break Monday and I hate to drag her to my Dr's office. At least when I dragged her to the OB/GYN I didn't feel like there would be sick people in the office. I guess I'll see how I feel Sunday PM and go from there!

Elizabeth -- I agree with Jen -- that was going to be my advice. I would go to one of the urgent care places so that if it is something that needs meds, you can get started on them TODAY! The doctor offices will be crazy on Monday with many people coming back in to town and the holiday, and it's not worth suffering...

Deb -- I hope you are feeling better today and that you get lots done!

Has anyone gone to the Kennedy Space Center? I looked at their website but it seems so confusing. They have a bus/ticket combo that picks up at ASMu. It is about $90/adult.:scared1: We were thinking of renting a car (pickup at Dolphin) but we would need a minivan for the 7 of us and I think we would need 2 days because the hours are limited at the Dolphin. The bus would be so much easier.

We went to the Kennedy Center last summer after getting off of the Wonder. It was fantastic! We did the up close tour, where we got to go out past the launch pads and got to get out at a couple of places to take pictures. Sorry I can't help with the tour from ASMu.

Robyn and Amy -- cute Easter pics!

My allergies have me feeling like crap today. We intentionally stayed home yesterday so I wouldn't be outside, but it didn't seem to help. I really need to go in to Dallas today, but I think I'll just hang out at home, clean out another few drawers and veg. Having this horrendous mouth ulcer has helped my diet -- one really good thing! :)

Vicki just phoned and asked me to please let everyone know that she made it to her sister's house safely. :) She's not sure when she'll be able to get back on to post.

Jennifer - I've never done urgent care with this insurance. Since we have a $500 deductible whatever they charge would be 100% out of pocket. I don't feel worse since I have been up, so that's a good thing!

I don't think we're doing Easter eggs this year. :confused3 DH will eat hard boiled eggs, but DS and I won't. I don't even think we have any eggs. I need to go buy some groceries at some point today since we have no food. I don't think we are doing a special dinner tomorrow (DH is working), but we still need groceries.

I agree that the web site is confusing!!

We are going the day before our cruise...and having a town car service take us....but I haven't figured out which tour we are doing

Denise, I just found out a "little girl" () I coached several years ago is going to 'Bama this fall for college! :goodvibes

that kind of stuff makes me feel older than my girls:rotfl2:

My first really full time gig was babysitting for 3 girls most of my teen years. 2 years ago I found out the oldest 2 had kids of their own....I about keeled over!!

Marci - I'm sorry your mouth isn't feeling better yet! And allergies on top of it! :guilty: Feel better soon! :wizard:
The Dr. thinks part of Princess's problem is allergies. My car was coated in pollen the other day so I know there is a lot of junk in the air.

I hear you! Although I have taught kids a lot longer than you have been babysitting, it was a real shocker to me the first time I had a former elementary school student come into our studio holding the hand of 4 year old who wanted piano lessons!

We dyed 4 dozen eggs :scared1:....what a mess. After I lectured the eggs to tone it down..not to spill..no messes etc etc etc...I dropped blue dye all over my dish washer, my kitchen rug, the wood floor...what a mess!!! Thank god it seems to have come out of everything except my hands...they have all picked out what they believe is the winning egg...we play an easter egg battle game.

Marci and Elizabeth - I hope you both feel better soon!

Robyn - thanks for the invite to the Easter party. That was very sweet. :)

What is it with you and blue dye?!?!? :rotfl2:

Glad you made it safely! Have a good weekend!

Not your day, huh Jen?

Feel better, Deb! I hope all of your "helpers" really do help this weekend!

I hope your drive isn't bad today, Vicki! :wizard:

It will clear on it's own. I had the bad sore throat for 48 hours, bad enough that I couldn't even sleep. Thankfully I slept ok last night, only up to numb my throat a couple of time. Overall I feel better today, but not 100% yet. My thoat hurt up into my ears too. Nick had it last week. I think it's just the bug du jour.

Leave it to you an blue dye :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: At least it's just your hands this time.

oh very funny!! ;)

I bought it at this little polish deli...I have never seen such dark & vivid dye...too bad blue never made it to an egg

I talked to Kristin this a.m. and she sounds a bit stressed. She is playing Portia in "Merchant of Venice" this semester and is having an awful time with all the lines. Her character has a LOT of lines and she has over half of them down. Part of the problem (in my opinion) is that she waited a bit late to work on them, but the rehearsal technique of the director is a little odd... she has never been the whole way through the play and they go up in 2 weeks! They are performing the entire play (probably over 2 hours + intermission) in the outdoor amphitheater at VCU. Should be a great venue for the show, so I hope she gets her lines down soon! They are working on the courtroom scene today and I don't think she knows half of her 15 or so monologues.

Anyway, I mentioned how quiet it was around here and she intimated that a drive to Richmond for the day tomorrow might be a very good stress-reliever for her. So, we may go spend time with a child on Easter anyway. I thought I would let her get through today's rehearsal and then talk to her again.

We got up and going this morning. The entry floor is now down to plywood. The boys and Papa had fun with that little project. I've applied more Durabond to the wall corners and the ceiling to repair the cracks. Now we are waiting for that to dry in order to sand and/or apply more. I feel like we are watching paint dry, but we aren't that far yet :lmao: This seems like a hurry up and wait kind of day. My Mom and Dad both came to help, but since we hit a standstill they headed home to do things at their own house. Apparently my SIL is painting next door today too :confused3 I'd say something is in the air, but it's too cold here to breathe.

At some point I need to run to the store and pick up some very important items for late tonight :goodvibes I also need some groceries

My in-laws always used Polish dyes and onion skins, which made the most gorgeous deep orange/brown eggs.

Kristine (and anyone else in Chicago-land)... do you know anything about the Eaglewood Spa and Resort? One of Kristin's friends' mothers works for the parent company of that place and for graduation has given them all 5 nights at any one of the resorts in the company. For some reason they chose the one near Chicago (Itasca). :confused3

Anyway, I am wondering about public transportation to and from the airports to that place as well as into downtown Chicago. Any thoughts or ideas?

Did the eggs listen? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Glynis' pot roast is in the crockpot, and I just put my dad's birthday rum cake in the oven. I don't suppose a small slice would hurt baby Noah (though I was right about dreading the scale yesterday). ;)

We had a great visit with my mom and Jim. I really need to take a picture of the Easter cut-out cookies she made the kids. My mom puts Martha Stewart to shame! We also dyed eggs together last night. Very simple, since Alyssa was in charge, though Matthew managed to crack and squish the heck out of the two we gave him. :)

Robyn, all your Easter pictures are adorable! :goodvibes

I hope all the sickness doesn't damper anyone's Easter weekend. Go away ulcers, allergies, and germs! :wizard:

Happy Easter everyone!

(Can someone come over and do the laundry?)
