Can somebody shoot me please? 2 houses down from us are 2 dogs. They have been barking for over 2 1/2 hours straight now! 'it is maddening.

Set off your burglar alarm. Hopefully that will annoy your neighbors. When the police arrive, take the "false alarm" warning, then send them over to deal with the dogs.

For the first time ever, I'm celebrating Easter without my husband or kids.

But your sister & her family will be so happy to have you with them!

That burglar alarm I kept hearing yesterday actually belonged to the neighbor on the OTHER side of my bosses'. Those people are in FL. Not that I would have gone marching outside to look for burglars...
So the guy called last night and wanted to know if his alarm stopped, how long did it go off, what time did it start and stop, did the police come, etc. I told him yes it stopped, it went for 2 hours (2 PM - 4 PM), and I don't know if the police came! I'm not the neighborhood watch captain. (No, I didn't say that.) I think he was irritated that I didn't take an active role in investigating the alarm. I told him I thought it was coming from the house on the other side. I did a quick walk around the front & sides of the house, and they did have a "false alarm" sticker from the police, so I figure it really was a false alarm. If it goes off again I will look out the window, but I won't go outside!

More sun today and a little warmer, though it still looks windy out.

I have that lecture series thing tonight, but am off tomorrow. We're thinking of going to the zoo (we're members) but it will be supercrowded with all the schools out around here.

I've been really trying to get re-started with WW and watching what I eat. When we were at Great Wolf Lodge, I didn't have a lot of choices, so I ate a lot of fruit. Well, now I have a huge ulcer on my tongue, the most painful one I've ever had, and I have that event tonight. UGGHHH. I have the worst timing. At least I'm starting to feel like I'm doing a little better on losing the weight/watching what I eat.

The line that I find funny is...
"Disney confirmed it is in talks with the company, saying the stores could be an important expansion of the Disney brand."

Ummm, wasn't it already an expansion of the "Disney brand" before they sold the stores the first time? Is it really an "expansion" to take back something that was once yours already?

Good Morning DDA,

My doctor's visit went well yesterday, my liver enzymes are back to normal. She has actually reduced my BG medicine, as my numbers have been within the target range. She started me on a new medicine for my arthitis and has given me something for the stomach issues, she feels like they me be a combination of meds and the change in eating habits, so we'll see.

She was very pleased with the weight loss, now all I have to do is stay with it, all I can promise is to take it one day at a time.

Best wishes to all of those here who are trying to eat well and lose, it's a struggle that's for sure. Another thing is it's expensive to buy healthy foods, and I think they only charge more because they can.

The AC man is coming today, hopefully it won't cost me a Disney trip

I've got to get the eggs boiled for tomorrow, we're taking Brandon to see Horton, and then we're coming home to dye eggs. We've been dying them together since before he was 2. DD is late and thinks she may be pregnant, my dad asked at lunch yesterday what would we do with another one, and Brandon had this sad look on his face and said "If you get another one you'll forget all about me", he's definitely going to have jealousy issues if it's true.

Well, it looks like we're headed to the zoo today as well. It's supposed to be low 60s and what better thing to do with 15 people than something free. :thumbs: Of course, who knows what time we'll get around as 7 of us were playing cards until midnight last night. I'm thinking that tonight I'm suggesting Apples to Apples. I've had it for over a year and haven't gotten to really play it yet. Plus, Terra is dying to play it with a bunch of people.

Great news on the doctor visit! You are doing so well! Have a great time at the movie and dying eggs. That's in our plans tomorrow or Sat too. I guess it needs to be tomorrow if we're devilling those same eggs for dinner on Sat. I hope the baby news is the best for their situation and if she is pregnant that Brandon doesn't struggle too much.

So everyone knows the struggles Terra has with Chase, right? Still working on Terra not gently pushing Chase out of the toyroom and other little things like that (at least she's gotten more gentle). Well, Aiden, my cousin's 3yo boy, pushed Chase away from his toy yesterday and she fell (lightly) and was crying. Terra got this totally freaked out look on her face and said almost crying, "Aiden pushed Chase". I looked at her kind of shocked thinking, "who are you to talk." She then said very quickly and earnestly, "I'm going to be much nicer to Chase now" and ran over to hug her. Not sure what happened there, but maybe it's a turning point? The whole thing was kind of surreal.

Elizabeth- I wish I had a burglar alarm. I don't think the parents were home and I guess the kids didn't care that the dogs were barking for hours on end.

You all have made Molly's day!! She loves finding her name on the computer. Thanks so much! I am happy to report we have been accident free all day. It's like a went off in her head. She has been so great about going to the potty when she feels she needs to, no persuasion from Mommy. Now her methods are a little funny- she needs to be sitting in on a potty chair and in front of the TV. Her reward is a Hershey kiss. I've been bribing her with new toys forever and all she wanted is a Kiss. Who'd thunk that? And she refuses to put a pull-up on as "they are for babies", don'tcha know! Who is this child?

I'm so happy for both you and Molly. What a relief, huh?

Well if it goes through I'd be a happy camper. Then they would revert to the pre-2002 days where TDS CM's were official Disney CM's with all the benefits of a true cast member!!!

Yes I agree with you on your comment..sounds redundant!! Disney should have kept their stores in the first place. Our store had been put on hold for its remodel. I wonder if this news has anything to do with it.

Mouth issues tend to help jump start weight loss. I managed to lose 10 lbs once when I had a mouth full of sores. Hopefully it will heal quickly.

I'm glad thath the doctor's visit went well. Keep up the good work.
If DD is prego I'm sure that Brandon will adjust after the intial shock. We found that including the boys in decisions regarding the baby made them take some ownership. They are excellent with their little brother.

I had a dream about you last night. I drove to your house (in a snow white tee shirt) met you & your family at your house & then we went out for Italian food. Then I couldn't get back home. Wierd!!! I know why you must have been on my mind though..I was thinking about how many of us were at Disney the same time in Oct 2005 & even some of us at the same party. Thats the year you guys were all Hercules characters & I remember seeing you but not knowing you then.

I didn't check my email last night so I had a shocker this morning. Apparently a man in a hooded sweatshirt has been trying to break into homes in our neighborhood At times when people are home. Apparently someone came home yesterday to find him in their garage. He fled. That is pretty scarey. I guess I need to go out and lock the shop and camper


Colby and I are both feeling a bit under the weather today. We both have colds. He's got a little cough and I've got a sore throat. Hopefully the dimetap will help him and the sudafed with help me. I do NOT have time to be sick now.
