We get paid time & a half for working on Easter. That is about one of the only good perks working a Holiday!

That's a bummer! I think Easter is kind of not be recognized as a holiday. DS gets Friday off, but if we would have had a snow day he would have had school. I don't have any additional days off (Friday or Monday) in my contract. I would have been off Friday if Momboss wouldn't have had to go out of town, but it isn't one of my guaranteed holidays. In fact, it never has been. Obviously in my last job the family was Jewish, but none of my families who celebrate Easter have given me a day off. Banks don't take a day for it, and they take a day for EVERYTHING. I think even on Easter there are stores open, at least more than is open on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Just a quick hello. I have to go home to get Emma to bring her for a haircut. She wanted to let her bangs grow out so she hasn't had a cut since August and it's looking a bit um...ratty. I figure we can get it shaped a bit tonight (before Easter) and have one more cut before our trip.

Sorry I've fallen behind here. Got this stupid cold thing again so I've been trying to go to bed earlier but it hasn't helped much.

I'm glad the exchange went smoothly! I was nervous for you reading Lindsay's post, I didn't realize there were different case colors with some DVDs purchased at TDS!

I wondered about that, so I checked out the case at Walmart before I tried exchanging. They were exactly the same, and I had no trouble at all!

Did I tell you guys that Jonathan goes back to school on Easter Sunday??!! I find that unbelievable! You think they could extend break for 1 darn day! For the first time ever...I am celebrating Easter on Saturday

That just stinks! It's really odd!!! How is Jonathan feeling today? Is his mouth any better? I really need to have my wisdom teeth removed, but I'm scared to do it!

We only have the full screen version at my DS. My manager said that was all they shipped.

That's what they told me when I called. No worries, though. Walmart exchanged it no problem, and we can't wait to enjoy it on Sunday night!!!

That's right! I remember that, now! Well, I hope you're going to do something fun to celebrate on Friday! Alan and I are picking the girls up from school and taking them out to lunch. This is their year for a family gathering, so we are really celebrating their birthday on Friday after the Easter egg hunt. We figured that they ought to get something special on the actual day, so we thought we'd take them out. Probably to Chuck E. Cheese, if I know my girls.

I was awoken this morning to the sound of "Mommy, I need to go Potty now" And she did. Music to my ears.

Thank you all so much! I *think* it worked. To try to make a long story short, the weekend that Nicholas makes his 1st Communion is John's weekend, unofficially. Three months ago, John agreed to switch weekends with me, since my family is coming into town, staying at our house, and I'm having a party at the house for Nicholas. Then John got hair up his butt and said that I couldn't have the kids that weekend. So....tax time rolls around. He asked if we were going to file jointly. I said "of course". He gives me his stuff, and I Turbotax it, not only jointly, but separately as well. So I ask him to either give me that weekend or I will file separately, claiming the kids and the house. He would have to pay $5000+ in taxes. He agreed to change weekends, and I had him put it in writing. I just hope nothing happens in the next month or so to mess it up.
