Great to "see" you Heidi!!

Great pics Amy and Karen!! I look like Matty when you give me a cookie fresh out of the oven too:goodvibes

Post a picture! ;)

Thanks! He's a really messy eater, always, not just hot, fresh cookies.

Mine too! :thumbsup2 Such cute pics!!

Thanks! I wish I had some PJ Pals, too! I'm glad you were able to unwind a bit today. Can Terra come over and teach Alyssa to ride her tricycle? :rolleyes1

what I did last summer was buy separates because I have a large chest. None of the maternity ones fit me up top. I can't wait till I am done nursing and can get a reduction then hopefully swim suit shopping will be a lot easier.

I hate my thighs, so I have to find a suit with a skirt. I've never had a top issue, other than looking deflated at times. :teeth:

Well, I need to go rescue my husband from Blue's Clues land so that he can go to bed. Catch you all in the morning. Good night!

Matty is a huge Blue's Clues fan. It's really the only show that keeps his attention, unlike the rest of the TV addicts in this household.

Anyone else surprised by the Idol results?

How did Nicholas do today, Tammi? His project looked great! :thumbsup2
Thanks. They are having the awards ceremony Friday morning. The school was to call this afternoon if your child was receiving an award. It's one of those things that they call the parents so they can be at the ceremony but the child doesn't know. No phone call here :guilty: so I guess he didn't place. He did a good job, and everyone gets a ribbon or a certificate or something. We went over to the school this evening to look at all the displays. Of course I am biased though. ;)

hey me too!!:lmao:

and no way Jose on pics...I hate having my picture taken.:upsidedow

Thank you!

I'm sorry Nicholas didn't place. Any chance the school may have called your ex? Regardless, at least this is behind you for the year! :goodvibes
NO! We had to attach name and phone number to the back of the board for contact info. I'd be surprised if he even knew there was a science fair going on! :sad2:

I forgot to say I'll be praying for you Denise on Monday....I am biased but I think you are a shoe in for the internship.:goodvibes

I am sorry that Nicholas didn't place....I am still miffed Cassidy wasn't put into the science fair with a perfect score. It's always a little bit "off" I think...because that was an award winning project!!

I missed AI. PM me the results.

Yes, Ma'am. Done!

hey me too!!:lmao:

I somehow ended up with food on the BACK of my shirt last night at dinner. :rotfl:

And that's just silly that you hate to get your picture taken. You're beautiful (and a young mom, unlike me!)

I know that's not funny, but just the way you wrote that made me chuckle. I promise you, Alyssa and Nicholas will recognize what a wonderful mother they have once you survive the teenage years. :goodvibes

Glynis-that is a gruesome story

Amy-I promise kiddos having the same birthday isn't all that bad....my girls love it (most of the time)...the only time it's been a hassle was a little one on the big birthday of 13. Cassidy's best friends in Billings each had birthdays within a week of their sisters....now their moms had more worries than me. Of course one was a worrier naturally but the other was one of the calmest ladies I've ever met and she still stressed that month every year.

While life still stinks...I have missed you all...so I'll post a bit more than I have.

We've missed you too. I hope things improve soon.

Deb, I have one. If you can get it back to me by late August, I'd be more than happy to send it your way! I can send it after my May trip.

I got an e-mail from my mother's best friend on Sunday, with "just a few questions" for me re: WDW. Well, she proceeded to ask about 50 questions in a stream of consciousness e-mail. Oy.

This is the woman who offered the idea to my mother that she would pay me to plan her first trip with her grandchildren. Then, after having already answered an e-mail like this from her before, I mentioned something about offering her assistance, but needing some $$ for my time (she doesn't want to do any of her own research at all). After that e-mail, she never sent a response, and it's been radio silence since then.

I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm being used, but don't know what to do, since my parents are BF's with her and her husband, they're good people and do a lot for my parents, etc. I've been thinking I should just help her out of respect for my parents, but at the same time it ticks me off! :headache:

OMG - how terrible. That makes me a little ill even thinking about it. I'm glad to hear she'll recover, though.

Yay!!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Sometimes, those things just work out at the right time. ;)

Lots of :wizard:  for you, Theresa. Been thinking about and praying for you guys!

How wonderful!

Lindsay I would Love to borrow your AAA parking pass. I can definitely get it back to you by the end of July. Thanks a million.

As far as the disney questions I would email her links to the DIS and tell her to post her questions there as you are so busy in RL. She should understand.

I have had a very productive morning. I went to the craft store and bought a large shadow box frame and some black velvet to do a display for Alan's Olympic pin collection.

Then, I went to Target and bought rash guard shirts for all the kids for swimming at the lake this summer (no more blistering for my fair babies), some Easter shirts for the girls, and Easter basket surprises.

Last stop was the Disney Store at the mall. I picked up a stuffed Dalmatian for Mary's birthday, and some Easter plushies for baskets. I also preordered Enchanted. Alan has requested that for his birthday, as he thinks he is in love with Amy Adams. Done!!!

Now all I have to do is go through all his pins (he has enough for 5 or 6 shadow boxes), make my selection, and put it all together. He works tomorrow morning, so I'll settle down to do that when he leaves for work, and all the kids are gone. Otherwise, they'll want to "help" and we all know how well that works, don't we?

I also need to clean the guest room out as my mother will be staying with us for 2 weeks while my Dad is in Turkey and Greece. I can't wait!!! It will be great to have her come up and visit us. I usually go to her house, since she hasn't wanted to leave her mother, but since Gram died in November, she doesn't have that excuse anymore. She tried to use her dialysis as an excuse, but we got her appointments at the local center that is 10 minutes away from my house. Dad has been worried about her since her mom died. She hasn't wanted to do anything, so he thinks this will be really good for her. She'll be surrounded by my kids, and my sister's kids, and we'll have some fun!

It sounds like you have the gifts well in hand for lots of upcoming events. I'm glad that your mother is coming to stay with you. It will be fun for you and the for the kids.

I have an interview Monday at 10:30am for an Internship in the NICU at Northside Hospital. They deliver more babies than any other private hospital in the country (12,000 the years I was there), and it's where I worked post-partum and where the kids were born. It would be 3 12hr night shifts a week. It excites me, but it scares the living bejeezers out of me at the same time. The NICU is a tough place. I know I'd be great there, but it such a huge responsibility taking care of those tiny babies who are so ill.

:wizard: :wizard: Good Luck:wizard: :wizard:

I managed to get some pictures uploaded at naptime.

We went to the zoo the weekend before the BIG SNOW.

Looking at bears (bears not pictured):

Alyssa has decided she likes to take pictures. Her first attempt:

Her fifth or sixth or seventh attempt :rotfl: :

Tell Alyssa that she is becoming a great photographer.

This is what you get when you give Matty a chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven!

He looks yummy.

ugg I hate swim suit shopping.

I tried on the one I wore last year the bottom piece was a little baggy, but the top piece was to small in the chest.

So I need to figure out what size I need and buy a new suit or at least a new top.

Do yourself a favor and purchase a nursing swimsuit. I had one and it was well worth the money.

Hello all! Thanks for the well wishes. The funeral was very nice and had a good turnout. It was nice to see the healing and good relationships that Joe and his siblings had with their mom over the past 5-10 years. The grandkids all had a chance to know their grandma and there was a lot of family there with her in the end. I was really glad that we could make it, especially when it seemed to mean a lot to Joe that we made it. Hopefully, he is going to come over to visit us in the near future. It's been such a rough year that I think he's reaching out for more family to have around him and his kids.

We got home in plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful day as well. Terra rode her bike for almost a full mile today with very little help! (Just some pushing up the steep hills.) I was very surprised as so recently it seemed she could hardly pedle straight on the sidewalk. As the weather improves I think that Kristi and I are going to start taking the kids and their bikes to a nice path park where they can ride more easily.

I'm glad that funeral was better than expected.

I'm off to bed too. It was a long, busy day. I'm on my way to my mom's tomorrow to pick up Mya. It has been very quiet in the house without her. I'll probably stay for dinner at mom's so don't know if I'll be back in time to check in. If not, I'll talk to you all on Friday.

Drive safely.

Post a picture! ;)

I was not at all surprised by the results. I called that one.

I'm sorry that he didn't win. The science fair here has no winners or I guess they are all winners. No prizes are handed out though. Hunter's is coming up in April. His experiment is whether the temperature of water changes the amount of wrinkling in skin. He will have to keep the time constant and just change the temperature.

Karen. Great pictures. You do look alike.

I know that I missed a few responses, but you've been chatty.

I'm beginning to see it. Nicholas had his first soccer practice of the season last night. In the morning he asked me if Bob was coming to his practice. I asked him if he wanted him to and he said yes. So I told bob and of course he came. Not one word about if his dad was going to be there. Which he wasn't. Bob spent the weekend helping us with the science board and he was with us tonight when we went over to the school.

I'm heading to bed. Thanks everyone for your encouragement. Have a great night!

Advice please...

For Alyssa's Fancy Nancy party, I'm going to order pizza for lunch since Nancy, Alyssa, and most kids are big pizza fans. Do you think this is okay to serve to the moms in attendance too, if I also accompany it with a couple salads?

I know as moms that we get tired of pizza, but I'm also trying to be budget-conscious. I thought about wraps or deli sandwiches, but since two other moms are pregnant, I don't want anyone turned off by turkey (I don't have a problem eating it, but I know some people really watch what they intake while pregnant).

Of course, some moms might just eat dessert (cupcakes, cookies, and make-your-own sundaes). :teeth:

What do you think?

Nick went to bed complaining of a sore throat. Hunter was in bed about an hour when he began complaining of a bad headache and a stomach ache. I really hope that they are not coming down with the flu. We don't need that.

I hope everyone feels better in the morning! Go away sickness! :wizard:

The party is for the kids so the parents shouldn't plan to eat with you. If you have enough then I would offer, but I would not buy extras for the parents.

When I stayed for a party I always ate what was offered...or ate before ( I never assumed they had enough to feed everybody) .

I saw the Fancy Nancy books for the first time last week....how cute are they???

yikes!!! Hope the sickies stay away!!

So my mother tells me tonight that my DB and DSIL got a letter sent home by the school saying that my nephew isn't behaving well :lmao: Haven't I been saying that for over 5 years :confused3 I can't wait for my DB to mention it to me as I will laugh hysterically. I have always said that DB would be called to the Principal's office one day, I thought it would be sooner and for my neice, but none the less :worship:

I should also add the party is at noon, and it will only be 6-8 moms. I know I'll be ready for lunch. :goodvibes

Which reminds me, I only ate three Caramel Delites. ;)

Alyssa's teacher had never heard of Fancy Nancy (apparently Alyssa's mentioned her party a few times to her :rotfl: ). Granted the boys probably won't be big fans, but I'm tempted to buy her the books for her library! :)
