Hi, Sally! Welcome to the DDA!

Just jump in and you'll catch on. That's how I ended up here 17 months ago.

We had a monster thread that they locked because of length, so now we are just posting in blocks of 250 pages.
My husband won a Sony Alpha 100 dSLR camera at work. He wants a 70-210mm Minolta lens for it. The lens HAS TO be auto-focus. Because I am an enormous idiot I put a bid in on a manual focus lens. The AF lens is selling on eBay for about $200, so I put in what I thought was a pretty LOW bid only to find out I am bidding on the wrong thing. The Sigma tele-converter for Sony is $200.
I did e-mail the seller and explain that I have to have to AF lens and I would appreciate it if he would cancel my bid. But really, why would he cancel it when he stands to make a lot more money from my mistake than from somebody who actually WANTS that lens?
So we won't have a whole camera to get rid of, only a lens that is in very low demand.
Maybe I should see if I can auction off my PERFECT DH. Somebody MUST need one.
