shocker passed this morning. last night the dr called and said while they were feeding her she was regurgitating her food. over the night she spiked a fever and was having trouble breathing. when they went to move her to get an x-ray her heart stopped. they put her on vent and called and we said let her go. im ok and glad she went so we wouldn't have to make the decision. my parents are worse than i am right now. but we will get through.

:sad1:  I am so sorry, Karen...

That's true. It isn't usually my first thought but was for this little girl for some reason with the things that were posted about her.

Isn't it sad that we have to think like that? :sad2:

Hmmm....so I'm just a little behind with our 20 then. ;) Sounds like you're pretty set even if it is a long trip. I hope that you get some great trades out of them! Are you working on finishing any collections or have new ones in mind?

What happened last summer was that we traded about 20 pins per person each day at the beginning, then by the end of the trip we were seeing mainly duplicates of pins we already had. We found some of the new Hidden Mickey pins, so there are some we need to complete those sets and others that weren't released yet that should be around in August. I also look for unusual pins that just strike me as neat. DH usually starts a theme, then changes his mind mid-trip and trades them all back off. DS is more like me - he picks whichever ones strike his fancy.

I worry about her too. What she said to Joe last summer is just way too odd!!!!

She's a very agressive kid. She'll come to the door asking for Lizzy and we'll say she can't come out and she's very agressive about "why? when can she? what if .....". I would never had done that as a kid.

I just don't feel comfortable talking to her mom. I do feel more comfortable talking to her grandmother who will be the one living next to us.

She sounds like a bad influence if nothing else! I hope you can figure something out before this summer! Not sure what the grandmother will be able to do, but it is probably a good idea to try to talk to her.
What happened to the neighbor with the fire-starting DS?

So are any of the other DDA little boys getting excited for the new Pokemon movie that premieres tonight?

DS has some Pokemon cards but it was never really his thing. He hasn't mentioned the movie.

And look a Duck tour!

I have always wanted to do the Duck Tour. Seriously, it is supposed to be great fun. :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

Elin - Hope the packing went well today.

It did, actually. We got a lot done. I also made the decision to take Friday off and drive up to Boston with her. I will fly back on Sunday. She has never made a 10 hour drive, let alone in a moving truck with a dog freaking out alongside her. I thought an extra pair of hands and part of a brain would come in handy... Kathrin agreed wholeheartedly.

Kristin doesn't have any classes on Friday and we were hoping to make a fun girls' trip out of the weekend, but Kathrin is having trouble finding a moving truck/van that would seat three. :confused3

:grouphug: I am relieved that you didn't have to make the decision :grouphug:

Gotta love lazy sundays! I fnished all of my resumes/cover letters and put them in and sealed the envolopes--one big thing off my list! woohoohoo

That's great news. Hopefully you will get some good news soon.

June 28th-29th sounds like a plan. The dates are already in my Blackberry.:cheer2: :cool1: pixiedust:

We'll have to pass. We'll be at WDW :cool1: :cool1:

My concern is that she has been molested if she knows about that and is unsupervised by her mother alot. The statistics are staggering unfortunately.

My best friend and I ended up turning in a man a few years ago. The daughters were very promiscuous acting. I have to say I wasn't shocked when they told my best friend about their dad.

That was my initial though too. :scared:

So are any of the other DDA little boys getting excited for the new Pokemon movie that premieres tonight?

My boys are glued to the tv.

I think it is wonderful that you are able to go with her. I'm sure she will be much more comfortable having you with her.

You are probably right about that. Keep me posted for when you are going. If I'm in the Lansing area, I may stay down there so that we can visit.

Chanon checked with me about Easter. She was going to be in Michigan. I had to laugh (and cry at the same time). I'll be in Ohio near her place visiting my sister and her kids for Easter.
...which BTW, we are leaving Saturday at 4pmish and coming home Sunday evening around 7pm...
Anyone familiar with the area that can tell me where the closest campground would be?
If you're camping, I'm out. I can afford gas for a vehicle, not a vehicle pulling another. :faint: :rotfl:

one of you has determined that I am on a mission to ride every Duck Tour in the nation! I just don't remember who it was that made that decision! :rotfl2:

Elin,

I am not sure who it was, but when you are ready to ride the Duck in Stone Mountain, Ga, I am sure Stephanie and I could make it there too. :lmao:

We had a lovely day at the mountain. It was sunny and in the 30's. The kids had nice private lessons and then we were able to stay and free ski. Chris made several runs and I did take one run at the end of the day. My knee held up fine, but I wanted to make sure that I didn't do anything to injure in more. Colby is really starting to get the hang of things :thumbsup2 My parents even came over to watch. They boys love showing off to grammy and papa.

Chris and I are watching the never ending Nascar race. First a rain delay then water on the track caused accidents which stopped the race for over an hour. They are finally on lap 27 of 250. The race should have been over with by now.
