DDA Chapter 4

This has been a crazy, crazy week. Monday I had the day off but had to take Becky to Green Bay for her table test consultation. That is a two hour drive one-way on a good day. It wasn't a good day but we only added about 1/2 hour each way.

She will have the actual test next Wednesday. She has to get a needle in her groin. :scared1: We have to be there at 9am, the test will be around 11am and last an hour or so. After it is done, she will have to rest 4 hours in the hospital room. So that is a whole day gone for me.

I took Katrina to the dermatologist today for her final appointment before being put on accutane. We also did some shopping for the pirates & princess party. Katrina has a really cool skirt and a sash. We found a shirt but we aren't sure it is going to work.

The last couple of days have been crazy, crazy, crazy for work. I have put in at least 30 hours of overtime this week and had that much last week.

I have to take Mya over to my mom's tomorrow as well. That is 3 hours one way. I was going to take her next week but mom is heading to my sister's and won't be back until a couple days after we leave for our trip.

I just received another passholder email, are they trying to push booking :rotfl:

Well, in MY opinion they aren't trying hard enough! Still no emails from them! I know... maybe you are getting mine too, Janet!

I don't know if you will gain anything by punishing her for not telling you how she knows, and if she knows what naked boys look like for a bad reason then you don't want to scare her out of telling you. Maybe sit down with her one on one and tell her you are NOT angry, that you were surprised. Then tell her you want to know who has parts like that (that she has seen) and assure her that she won't be in trouble for telling you.
From there you can tackle that it isn't appropriate to draw naked renditions of your younger brother, accurate or not.;)

I like the way Elizabeth put this... I agree completely.
I would keep the lines of communication open & see if she comes around & tells you. I think LIzzy will if she doesn't think she will get in trouble.

We leave for Marquette next Thursday night. We fly out Friday morning at 9:30am. We are staying in a studio at OKW. I have received the shirts & earrings from Deb. The shirts are adorable. The girls are thrilled. They will be wearing them at Animal Kingdom. The smaller one is a little tight on Katrina but works. Becky hasn't tried the other one on yet but she is a little bigger boned so I think it will work out well. If not, it works on me (a little tight but I could get away with it since I'm not well endowed like the creator). :lmao: Katrina will be wearing one pair of the earrings and I'll be wearing the others.

I ordered Becky's princess dress - she got an Arwen dress (from Lord of the Rings). I ordered a pirate outfit for myself and a pirate vest for Chuck. They should arrive on Tuesday. I hope they all fit. :scared1:

I'm off to bed. I need to be up by 5:30 again tomorrow since I'll be gone a good portion of the day to take Mya. I'll be putting in a lot of hours this week-end trying to get everything done for while I'm gone.

Prayers & pixiedust: for all with sickness in their homes and bad weather! I hope that things improve for all of you soon!

Not that cheap, is it? Also not during a time I am planning to be at WDW.

Good heavens! :scared1: I have no clue where to go with that one!:rotfl2: I know it's not funny, but I have to kind of laugh.
I know in DS's preschool they had a bathroom in the classroom and I saw PLENTY of naked bottoms because they would leave the door open. A former charge was just hopeless at toileting and would walk around with his pants at his ankles at school. But those kids are much younger than Lizzy.
In my almost 15 years of changing diapers I have found that boys' parts tend to splay out and not look like much to anyone passing by, so I am not going withthe diaper story, either.
I don't know if you will gain anything by punishing her for not telling you how she knows, and if she knows what naked boys look like for a bad reason then you don't want to scare her out of telling you. Maybe sit down with her one on one and tell her you are NOT angry, that you were surprised. Great advice Elizabeth

I got another Passholder e-mail today. In fact, I got one in my main e-mail AND one in my old e-mail that I don't use for Disney stuff. I don't even know how they got that address!:rotfl2: Well, I used it to sign DH up for his free DVD in hopes of getting a code, BUT we never got a code and I didn't think I mentioned he is an AP holder. But maybe I did.:confused3

Vicki - Stay safe during all of your driving! I hope you can get everything squared away so you can have a relaxing trip! :wizard:

Well, it's your fault, you know. You and that groundhog. ;)

Yeah, that stupid groundhog!

HEY!!! That's MISTER Groundhog to you non-believers!!!

oh Karen :wizard: that is quite a coindence

Evening everyone...

Things have been a little hectic around here the past few days so I haven't had much time to myself. I've tried to keep up with you all for the sheer reason of escaping the reality of my own life. It has become abundantly clear in the last few days that I need to figure out a way to replace the income I have now from the daycare kids. Now actually making this work for my family is what boggles my mind.

It seems that we all can use a mega dose of :wizard: and 's.

And I'd love to ask for some if there is any to spare. My great aunt who will be 95 next week had a stroke on Valentine's Day, sadly it was while her husband, he is 95, was giving her a bath. She is now in the nursing home and is my grandmother's roommate. She is paralyzed on one side and it doesn't look very good. My great uncle and her are such an amazing couple- married 77 years this past August. I fear that he will not fare well if she remains in the nursing home. It is so sad that they will be now be separated in what seems like her final days.

Karen, I sure hope they can give you some concrete answers/fixes for Shocker. How well suited you are for one another.

Bernadette,

I got the CD's. Thank you so much. I will put the check in the mail tomorrow.

I have no advice, you've gotten some great advice from everyone, but here's a . They grow up way too fast :sad1:

With that I am off to bed. I am crossing my fingers and toes that we get the snow/ice they are predicting. I need a day off;) It's not that I really want the crappy weather but a peaceful day at home with my girls would be heavenly.

Let me know where you ordered your from, will ya? I'm in need of a new summer body, and would like to know how yours looks once it's delivered.:rotfl:

Maybe you'll come across my pre child body in your search :lmao: :lmao:

And yet we still love ya! I can understand Kristine needing to distance herself from the thread right now. I hope and pray that all will be well for her and Bill.

I hope that you and Jennifer know that we are all thrilled beyond belief for you guys. Kristine is, too. It's just hard for her to deal with right now. I remember when we were going through all our infertility crap. I just wanted to burrow into my blankets and never surface again. I hated Mother's Day! I literally would curl into a ball and wish to die! Luckily, I had a great husband, that would take me to Vegas to celebrate being able to do what we wanted, when we wanted.

In short, don't stop posting about your trials and troubles, because we still are family! We may not respond, but we still love you and want to share in your joys and sorrows!

I can so relate to Kristine's needing to have space right now. When I had my miscarriage my SIL, who lives next door and whose daughter I was babysitting, was 2 weeks behind our pregnancy. I lost mine, she did not lose hers. It was tough hearing all the joy she was feeling and seeing the ultrasounds when it just reminded me of what we lost. Obviously I had to come to terms with it and I did. Those things that don't kill us make us stronger in the end, but boy is it hard to remember that when your in the thick of things. We were lucky enough to get pregnant again and the boys are only 4 1/2 months apart (though Colby was 3 1/2 weeks early). I am enjoying all of the happy posts with the new baby's and I totally feel for Kristine too. This thread is a real cross section of life, we take the good with the bad and wouldn't have it any other way.  To all my friends.

Amy. I wouldn't worry to much about weaning Matty. I found that my kids each weened themselves when they were ready.

Oh aint that the truth!!!! I feel the same way! JMHO going from 1 to 2 is earthshattering..Going from 2 to 3..very easy.

I whole heartly agree. Going from 1 to 2 kids was murder, but I didn't notice a difference going from 2 to 3 :confused3
