That was our problem, too! (It turns out, it was also way too cloudy, but I wouldn't know)

WOW the eclipse is soooo cool!!!!

It is almost covered. Hal was just saying he hopes our oldest son was able to get pictures of it.

I hope he did, too! Please let us know, his pictures are great!

I was going to ask how his appt. went. DS has an eye appt. next week.
The Passholder site is worthless. I'm sure it was overloaded today.



I wish they did cash or gift cards, but they don't. And by drawing tickets instead of awarding prizes based on who exceeded their goals by the greatest % it really seems like it hurts morale.

We got a notice today that DH's bank card is going up to 23.99% APR on April 1! We'll be clsoing that account. He didn't verify that closing it will freeze the current APR - he will have to call them back tomorow and make sure he understands all of the details. What a mess. We've never been late, pay more than the minimum each month, and he has had that card for a long time. I guess those Budget board folks weren't joking about bank cards just kind of going postal for no reason!

Yikes! Do get rid of that card.... that is crazy!

As for prizes, etc for motivation -- my company absolutely doesn't believe in any of that, except for the accounts managers (business half of what I do). Go figure!

We went to get Heart Puppy, but he was gone since it was after Valentine's Day. We could have ordered him unstuffed online, but Terra decided that the St. Patrick's Day bear was even better.


His name is Leaf Bear and she's enjoying playing on the new Buildabearville.com as well.

DH is on the phone with the credit card company now, but I can't hear what he is saying. Ah! He says they won't budge. How nice. We're going to look for a card that we can transfer the balance to, and if we can't find one then we'll just have to opt out of the new terms on the existing card and hope they will lock in our current APR.

Our company has you attend the annual picnic - only 10 top prizes and the rest are picked later.

After all this talk of CC's interests going up, I checked my Disney Visa. I noticed I had different rates between my statement and online. Found out I had a variable ( ) and even though the interest had fallen, I talked to someone about switching to a fixed. Ended up getting 9.9 and 10 Disney dollars.

Good morning, DDA! I guess I'm up for the day. I was hoping to go back to sleep after driving Phil, but concentrating to drive on sleet covered roads tends to wake one up a little. Then I got home and Rachel's school had not been cancelled yet. We've got 1/4-1/2" of icy stuff on the ground with more expected all day. They ended up cancelling 3 minutes before she walked out the door. Guess that means we don't have MOPS today either, but I guess we'll see.

I'm going to go snuggle with my baby in the chair since she's up pretty early for her and still looking tired, so I'll catch you all soon.

The yucky bug finally caught up to Kevin.

That was a pretty long incubation period!

My shower schedule is already thrown off, but after I figure out how to accomplish that, I plan on getting the kids out of the house to allow him some peace and quiet.

The boys are out of school today and tomorrow for teacher conferences. Randy is at home with them -- I'm scared of what the house will look like when I get home today.

Tomorrow sounds like it's going to be a yucky day here as well. I can't really complain though, because we have had an extremely mild winter so far. It's supposed to start snowing overnight, 1-3", and then be ice the rest of the day. I'm pretty sure school will be closed, and I might take the day off as well.

Hope the appts. today aren't too bad.
