DDA Chapter 4

I know you don't want to miss almost a full day by taking the later flight, could you possibly leave a day earlier?

Our flight arriving is later in the afternoon & the one leaving is early in the morning  But I have no layovers :dance3:
I could but we are staying on pts. and I'm trying to conserve as many as I can.

Marci, yes, he is no better. We did taste tests tonight, and he could not taste sweet, salty, or bitter. He barely detected the sour (lemon juice). He can smell everything. We've done blindfold tests, and he can tell me what it all is. I gave him a HUGE tablespoon of unsweetened chocolate (just gross), and he thought it was just powder. He is not eating much at all as nothing has any taste. I don't want to eat in front of him cause I feel guilty. It's been 4 weeks now, and he has not been sick, he doesn't take any meds, nothing new in our environment, etc. They are fairly sure it's neurological, but what and why? I just hope it comes back as I could see huge issues. It's also dangerous. He drank a HUGE glass of fermented blue gatorade and had no idea it was bad. YUCK!

anyone else need a code? I found one more on John's email.

Ok, I'm in need of all your favorite CS or cheaper TS locations. We are trying to plan some places to eat in June if we can talk my sister into eating out. We are doing CRT for breakfast one day. We'll probably do Ohana for dinner one night for the ambience. We are trying to avoid the family style or buffets because of the cost.

Since Lindsay did a mini food review I will do the same before I head off to bed. This was a prix fixe meal tonight and the cost was $50. It included an appetizer, a soup or salad, an entree, dessert and a beverage (tea, coffee, soft drink).

Appetizers were: warm artichoke, sundried tomatoe and goat cheese dip with coriander dusted pita chips; baked mussels with almond breadcrumb stuffing with a lemon aioli or skirt steak with a balsamic reduction and gorgonzola. Soup was asparagus and lime and the salad was a lettuce wedge with cracked pepper bacon and crumbled gorgonzola. Entrees: Chicken breast stuffed with almonds and apples, served with a pancetta and roasted tomato cream sauce; peppercorn encrusted NY strip with a cognac sauce reduction; and pistaschio encrusted Mahi-Mahi with honey pistaschio butter. Dessert: marble crumb cake with vanilla bean ice cream or deep fried cheesecake dipped in Belgian chocolate.

It was really an outstanding meal. Service was not up to the level of the meal but they are working on that. All in all, a very pleasant evening!

not ALL of us.... :rolleyes1

I must have had a cookie issue or something because I swear that it wasn't there when I was posting with you guys. I evevn thought that I was missing something from one of the posts between you two, but went back and couldn't find it. :confused3

Sounds like Kathrin found a good place to live.

Be careful mixing your drinks ;)

:rotfl: no worries... dinner was from 5:30 till 7:30 and we each had 2 1/2 glasses of wine. I doubt that there is much left in my system...

For CS, I love Sunshine Seasons in The Land at Epcot, ABC Commissary in HS, and Flame Tree in AK. Haven't really done much CS in MK.

How about Beaches & Cream for a TS? That's pretty inexpensive.

we like Flame Tree in AK, Columbia Harbour House, Peco Bill's and Cosmic Ray's in MK. All the CS places in Epcot are enjoyable. We don't usually go to the Studios so I am not much help there. Beaches & Cream at BC is great too.

I totally would prefer daughters - I am just more of a "girly girl", and afraid a little boy would just puzzle me. (I know I'm probably raising God's sense of humor with this conversation. ) Jonathan wants one of each, but I think he'd be fine with 2 girls ultimately. He does really want a daughter. I think with twins, the same gender would be easier - but what do I know!

I felt completely the opposite while I was pregnant. I'm so not a girly girl that I wasn't sure what I'd do with one. Well, I ended up with a total mini-me in so many ways and can't imagine it any other way.

it wasn't there then, Tia. Jennifer kindly PMed me before I left for work this a.m. so I wouldn't be on pins and needles all day long. That is why she told you all not to call my cell while I was in recitals. She changed her signature just before she signed off and you were probably past her posts at that point.

Sounds like a great time. It has been so long since I've had a massage. I think I might need to book one soon.

Hmmm, that sounds nice. Too bad I couldn't find a place for a massage at 9:30 on a Sat night. (Well, I probably could, but I'm not sure I'd want that massage.) I'm hoping to escape for a few minutes here in a minute. Get a few minutes of peace after a hectic couple of days.

Kathrin has a new apartment. It is in Brookline, MA and right on the "T" so transportation is not a problem at all. One of her roommates is a third year medical student and the other is the owner of a "hedge funds" company. She met the med student... the businesswoman is in Ireland on vacation this week. She is very pleased with the situation since it is a sublet that will be done in September. She can continue there or move onto something else if necessary.

Our dinner was amazing and I am not feeling too badly tonight. I must say I am looking forward to my shot of Nyquil in a few minutes. I ought to sleep like a baby since Kristin and I split a bottle of wine at dinner!

A sublet sounds perfect for her. I  Brookline! That would probably be one of my first choices to live. Which line of the T is she on green B, C or D? Congrats to Kathrin for getting things line up well!

Sneaky, sneaky woman! I wondered why she said not to call you. I went to look at her siggy then to see if she had something in there. I thought she was saying not to call and tell you but there still wasn't anything there at that point. Then I went back to sleep.

she told me but I forget! It is near... Washington Square??

That's what I thought too. Then I kept looking at the pic in her sig and I couldn't remember if that Mickey and Minnie were in there previously or not. I was thinking that maybe that was a clue.

I think that's the C-line, but could also be close to the D-line depending on which side of the main road. Very nice area and not a bad spot for boarding. The train gets a little crowded as it approaches the merging point in Kenmore Sq, but her area should be good. Definitely a mama-mind-easing area to be. Very nice, lots of upscale houses. My exes parents used to live not far from there and it is just beautiful. Nice mixture of long-time residents, grad students and young professionals in that area.

Chuck has went to bed. I feel guilty because I should go with him but I wanted to stay up and see Becky. If I crawl in bed, I'm not getting back out because this will be me

(much to Chuck's chagrin).

And now for the party run-down!

(These turned out much better than I thought the might. I made the picture and Modge Podged it onto the back side of clear plastic plates.
