DDA Chapter 4

Theresa, I rarely post on the CB. I am there for the sub-board, that is where the exchanges are.

Bernadette I hope the antibiotics work quickly for you :wizard:

Theresa I read a lot on the CB, but I rarely post for fear of being attacked!

Becky & Jen :wizard: for a snow day tomorrow!

Elizabeth good luck finding a new gyno Dr. Garrett & Riley both have a cell phone & I was worried about them getting lost. So far no problems, other than all of their friends have their number. I loved having them during our trip in Dec. to keep in touch with them when they went with other family members.

Terry congratulations on your personal milestone :cheer2: I think your ds needs to use that code & take you along :thumbsup2

It is still snowing here, but I doubt that the boys will get a snow day.

I know I missed some so here is a blanket of :wizard: &

I did see Virgo10's post about Florida being under a tornado watch until eleven. I'll take the snow any day.

Bernadette, :wizard: that the meds kick in fast and you are feeling better soon.

Becky & Jen hope you get your snow day tomorrow. :wizard:

I know the schools around here will be closed.

WE GOT A MICKEY MONITOR YESTERDAY! And it was NOT hand addressed. We MUST be in their system FINALLY! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Hooray! I hope they keep it up!

Wow that stinks. I can't believe that they ticket people for being out on the roads. They never do this around here for anything. Of course most things don't shut down other than schools and children's activities. I guess they figure that if you live in Vermont as an adult then you should know how to get around in it ;)

From the sound of it Kyle isn't home enough to notice if the house is a mess. If it is just you there then I say forget about the house and keep yourself well rested. Those babies need a happy Mama. Besides, once they're born your house will never look the same anyway. Trust me :rolleyes1 I figure that I've got another 17 years before I will be able to totally reclaim my house

Regarding the ticketing, it only happens in Level III emergencies, which don't even happen once a year.

As for the house, Kyle is home some and is WONDERFUL about it while he's here ... it's all me. I'm a perfectionist, and it's driving me nuts. Truthfully though, if you could see my house (and I know you all will say I'm wrong but I would be you money on it, and you can ask me in 2 years ;)) ... I have been so down for the count during this pregnancy, that my house will be a bit better for having kids because even if I only clean 15 minutes a week it will be more than I've done in months! :rotfl:

Amy and Jennifer, one of my good friends told me today they are moving to Cincinnati at the end of school. I'm going to email you and copy her. They are looking in Woodward and ?? Have a 4 year old, 1st grader, and 3rd grader. They are from Ohio and are huge OH State fans (and grads, I think). I told them I was sure you'd be able to help.

I kept reading and realized you aren't sure if it's Woodward.... I don't know, but I'm guessing it's maybe not. I'd love to try and help, especially if they are Buckeyes! ;)

I'm so sorry I didn't do a thorough job catching up. I worked until just now (7pm). I really couldn't have gotten away with staying home. Yes, my babies come first... which is why I'm thinking I will be written out of work before I'm even on bedrest, because I just have too much on my plate there some weeks. Unfortunately, short of a doctor's order, etc, I am too directly responsible to major state and federal agencies that I just have to work sometimes. Thankfully, I've really taken to working shorter days when I can, and you better believe I take advantage of it when the opportunity arises! I just have 7 major surveys that could knock on the door any day, that we have to be ready for. Thankfully, it's cake physically! If i were still working in a hospital, I would be on bedrest by now! :rotfl:

Have I mentioned how much I love my job? Just a few more months! :thumbsup2

Now, I have to rearrange my schedule for the rest of the week since my regional DOCS wasted 9 hours of my week today... then I need to debrief a bit and go to bed!

Have a good evening!

I really like my perm :thumbsup2 The boys both like it as well(Gary will see it later tonight when he gets home). I'm not use to having a slight part to the side ,so I might change that. What do you think?

Janet, I LOVE it! I actually really like the side part, if it matters :) I really think it looks wonderful overall!

Kristine enjoy dinner tonight! I would have loved to see Bill as "That guy" :lmao:

Elizabeth-I think it's great to have a cell phone just to call you all on. But....he may be able to figure out the number. If it's stolen it won't matter the #. I wouldn't worry about text messaging if you don't have that capability on your plan people won't be able to text message. We let Cassidy text message on hers but ours is exactly the same phone and we don't have that capability.

I am looking at getting us new phones as they are old and decrepit at 2 years old. :lmao:

If your phone is old and decrepit at 2 years then mine is ancient. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: I will have had it 4 years come August. I am doubtful that I will actually be using it by then. I have been talking about replacing it since over a year ago. The battery does not stay attached without the case and the screen keeps popping open further then it was intended to do so. Therefore it is cracked at the joint where it opens and closes, I am thinking one day it is gonna die.

I know I need something new. I can not decide what I want to get to replace it. Hence the reason I have not gotten something new.

Becky & Jen hope you get your snow day tomorrow. :wizard:

I know the schools around here will be closed.

I believe that easily. I am sure the district you live in has some dirt and stone roads through the mountain areas. Well supposedly if the Allentown School District is closed we are supposed to be closed, so we shall see.

Love the hair Janet....I often get that perm!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Janet - Your hair looks great!!!!

But why one earth, in the middle of snow, ice and sleet do you have a tank top on???? Put some clothes on woman, you're making me cold!!!!

:rotfl: I had a denim button up shirt over the tank, but the collar got wet from getting the perm. See the heavy flannel shirt in the background? That is what I am wearing now :thumbsup2

Yes it is cold, I am about ready to pull my blankie out!

Well I think if the phone is only to call you or DH then no he doesn't need to know his own cell #. Just program yours & DH's in his phone so he can contact you both when he needs to.

I gave Daniel a cell phone when he started his new school last fall. He is an hour away & on the bus so I included a GPS on his phone so I can "see" where he is at any time.

Elizabeth - have you looked into those Firefly phones? I think the basic phone is around $20 and you don't have to have a plan. You pay as you go. The 'kid' phone can be set up so it only takes calls that are stored in the address book. No text capabilities, no camera, etc.

Well, it has been pointed out to me that all he has to do is call one of his friends and see what number comes up on their phone to get his own number. Yay, technology.
I need to call back and ask about having text messages BLOCKED. When DH and I got our phones last year they told us you don't have to have text included in your plan but you can't block them. I don't want text capabilities on any of our phones.
I already ordered the phone. It cost $1. The lady pointed out that it is a 2 year contract, which means he COULD have this phone until he is 14. Unless it gets lost or stolen, which it will. So we'll try this and see how it goes. Of course the phone has all the things I don't want it to have - camera, MP3 player, e-mail, IM, internet, blah blah blah. But it was only $1!

Janet, I LOVE it! I actually really like the side part, if it matters :) I really think it looks wonderful overall!

Janet, your hair looks fabulous!! :goodvibes Good decision not to cut it!

Thanks everyone, for the comments! Kyle and I were pretty thrilled to see the babies again. I needed it, too, because I just don't enjoy being pregnant at all. At least I have a refresher of the outcome! ;) After realizing it doesn't always come easy, I'm not trying to complain about how blessed we are..... I'm just really wishing the stork would bring these babies instead, and sing Happy Birthday to them as he drops them off, and all would be great :rotfl:

I'm trying to catch up, but wanted to say that I love the u/s pictures!!! I know that this part of the pregnancy is no fun, but it does get better (at least it did for me!). However, by the third trimester, you will definitely be praying for the stork to stop by quickly!
