DDA Chapter 4

So, I am sitting here at my sister's computer and right on her desk is----you got it-----

A big postcard with a CODE !!!!!!! :lmao: :lmao:

She askes me, is this what you were talking about? :lmao: :lmao:

We went on Saturday last year 8/18. I still have my matrix from that trip. Maybe the days changed towards the end of the month?
That's what they were saying over on TGM, that it started out Wed/Sat, and then moved to Tues/Fri.
Yep the move from W/S to T/F was mid month. I am just going to plan for P&PP's on Tues & Fri & just go with the flow.

Other than being cold, we have not received any of the forecasted snow yet. Hopefully it will miss us!

I have an appointment to get my hair done today. I was thinking of getting it cut short, but I decided that I want to keep my long hair. But it is so thin that I can't do anything with it. So I decided to get a perm, I have not had one for 10+ years, maybe longer. I am sorta nervous, I do not want to have my hair fried or come out looking like a poodle :rotfl: So if it turns out, I will post a picture & see what you all think. If it doesn't, well guess I will continue to wear my hat :rolleyes1
Pictures please!!!!

I'm home from work again today. I need to find some sort of walk in clinic or something as I don't have a primary care dr. I go to my gyn every year but haven't found a primary I like. Something is leaking out of my right ear so I think its time to get proffessional help.:scared:
Oh no, GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!:)

Good morning all...

You all have been very chatty! It was a lot of fun catching up. Loved all the pictures that were posted. I am sorry that I did not respond to each of you so here's some :wizard: and 's for all. Share nicely!

I still can't say that I feel normal again. Yesterday I ran a 102 fever all day. Eric came home and stayed with the girls. I don't feel sick so I don't know what is wrong. The chills that I have are driving me crazy. All I did yesterday was hide under covers. I did manage to fold and put away some of our laundry. Now I just need to hang up the closet stuff, at least it isn't such a daunting task any longer. I woke up this morning with a temperature of 99 this morning so I guess I am getting back to normal again.

Not much on the agenda today. Emma is off from school for election day, so at some point I have to vote. I also think Emma and Molly and I will be making valentine's for their teachers and classmates. But that's it!! I like slow days like these.
Sounds like what you had is on its way out.:wizard:

Thanks Lindsay :goodvibes I guess we are just never satisfied with the way we look :rolleyes1 You & your hair looked great! I would love to be able to walk around in the humidity & not look like a frizz ball :rotfl:
Me too! Remember Rosanna Danna Danna from Saturday Night Live...that's me in humid weather!:lmao:

So what are everyone's plans for Valentines Day?

Gary & I will probably just go out to lunch while the boys are at school or maybe we will wait & take them with us for dinner. Nothing to exciting around here lol
Well we boht have to work & then I have my annual physical. I do not care for my primary. She does not have good bedside manner & she was very rude to an elderly patient the last time I was in the office. I have to refill my perscriptions & then I am going to look for a new Dr.

Great video from YouTube with the new show. I can't wait to see it in April!

Cute! My guys are alittle old for this but I want to see it!!

So, I am sitting here at my sister's computer and right on her desk is----you got it-----

Wouldn't that figure :rotfl: :rotfl: So when is she taking you?

Anne Marie - We should make a pact. You find a new primary and I will find a new OB/GYN. I think they are fraudulently billing the insurance, but the codes are so confusing I can't really figure it out. AND my insurance covers so little (because of the deductibles) I am constantly getting bills from them for $20 or $30 or whatever.
I have to get my shots every 12 weeks, and I am fanatical about scheduling them. Last time I went for a shot they made me have a PG test first, then they billed me $28 for it! I could have told them I wasn't pregnant, AND my shot wasn't overdue so there was NO REASON to test me. And it is a pain to drive all the way out to the office. I REALLY need a new OB/GYN.

I'm back from the Dr. We weren't sure if this place in the next town over was a walk in place or not so DH had to go to the bank so he went in and they gave him an appointment for me for 12:15. Other than the over an hour wait I really liked the Dr and his staff were all pleasant and seemed happy-a good sign. He said I have a sinus infection and an ear infection. He gave me samples of decongenstant and ear drops and a script for what must be good antibiotics. I had to pay a $39 copayment and they've gots lots of warnings-may cause drowsiness, may cause dizzyness.....I don't know if I'll go into work tomorrow. I think I should stay home and try to get over this thing. MAYBE....I'll even make an appointment for a physical with this guy.

I still can't say that I feel normal again.
:wizard: Hope you feel like your old self again soon!

yikes!!!:scared1: Get the to a dr soon!!!

One of our Walmarts has a walk in clinic now....have you seen it?? It's hospital affiliated so it's not just quacks.
Colorado is too far to go. No clinics in our Walmarts yet.

I got this from a friend today and I immediately thought of you all.
 Thanks Elin!

So what are everyone's plans for Valentines Day?

Gary & I will probably just go out to lunch while the boys are at school or maybe we will wait & take them with us for dinner. Nothing to exciting around here lol
Lizzy has a girlscout rock climbing thing at REI on Thursday afternoon. I don't think we'll do anything else.

Crap. The Crocs are sold out. :guilty:
How many Crocs do you already own?;)

I need to get going, wish me luck that I do not come home looking like I stuck my finger in a wall socket :rotfl:
:wizard: Good luck!

So, I am sitting here at my sister's computer and right on her desk is----you got it-----

Figures! I think its a sign that she's supposed to take you.

Well we boht have to work & then I have my annual physical. I do not care for my primary. She does not have good bedside manner & she was very rude to an elderly patient the last time I was in the office. I have to refill my perscriptions & then I am going to look for a new Dr.
Time to find a new one.

Glynis, I know you're trying to get caught up (saw your update on the WFD thread)!

Denise, I'm not familiar with the Woodward area, but please let me know how I can be of help.

Bernadette, I certainly hope you made a trip to the doctor today!

Though it's a snow day, we still ventured out for a playdate (the roads weren't too bad in our area and I needed to get out of the house). I don't think baking is on the agenda today ;) and since my SIL is bringing the cake for my mom's birthday on Saturday, I don't think I'm packing the cupcake supplies either. :rotfl: I just told Alyssa that they are supplies for her birthday party.

Thanks for all the compliments on the pictures I posted yesterday. :goodvibes

Deb, our haircut place is called Cookie Cutters. It's a little expensive ($15.95), but you can sign up for discount email coupons and the amenities are great (gaming stations for the preteens, DVDs for the little ones, balloons, suckers, etc.).

Paula, sorry to read about the yelling, but it's good that Cassie was busted while Mark was still in town!

Robyn, hope you're feeling better today.

Theresa, loved your pictures. You know I love the zoo, too!

Sorry to cut this short...mini-meltdown in progress. :rolleyes1

:grouphug: and :wizard: for you all!

Amy, it may not be Woodward. I told her you lived in Sharonville. What are some of the good areas in Cincy?

I know I should stay in the safety of the DDA but every once in awhile I get pulled into a thread on the community board:rolleyes: :

I get called irresponsible.....I am sticking up for myself and putting it nicely as I don't want to get in trouble but I am about ready to slap some of the people on this thread:headache: :

You would love my GYNO. Handsome!!!!!!!

All of mine have been women. And when I shop for a new one I will want a woman. I prefer someone who actually OWNS the same parts, not just studies them.;)

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
I did think that at first. I had made an appt with this practice that had a woman in it. I thought I might be pregnant (with Katie 13 years ago) so I had to make an appt. Well only this guy was available for an appt that day so I booked with him. I was sitting in the waiting room & out comes this young handsome guy who looks like Robert Downey Jr. I was like OMG, this guy can't examine me! Anyway, he was so professional & so personable that I stayed with him throughout my pregnancy. He is the only one in the universe that is allowed to call me "Annie" his nickname for me. Even Dana can't call me that!:lmao: When I was in labor with Katie for 32 hours, he let me try to progress on my own & didn't insist on a c-sec right away since the baby was not in distress. There were bumps along the way & each time he handled them. I was very confident in him as a Dr. He was there for all my fertility problems & eventually the birth of Daniel & Sophie.
After Sophie was born he was no longer on my insurance. He said "no problem we can work something out" which he did. Now my insurance changed & thankfully his practice is on it. He can never retire or I won't go to a GYNO anymore!:rotfl:

Thanks Elizabeth!!! The woman who called the non licensed drivers irresponsible..now says she wasn't being judgemental:upsidedow

I'm sorry, Theresa. For those reasons, the CB scares me! :scared:

I actually got a snarky response on a thread on the resorts board earlier today. :snooty: Maybe there's something in the air!

Elizabeth, I'm like you. ;) I have a female gyno if you need a name!

I loved the OB I had for DS's delivery. She also delivered my sister, because my sister is only 4 years older than DS! :scared1: Anyway...

She was wonderful, but she moved away when DS was about a year old. I knew another woman I would have liked to switch to but she wasn't taking any new patients. (Her DH is an anesthesiologist and he did my epidural, and I knew their nanny, too. Their DS went to preschool with my charge.) So I chose the Dr. where I go now. She is a nice enough lady, but I only see her once a year. And for the past few years I have seen the nurse practitioner, not a Dr. And now when I go for my shot they like to have the nurse practitioner do it so they can bill me for an office visit.

The band director just called and said he does want the beginning percussion kids to stay after on Tues & Thurs pretty much until May. I told him we'll see how it goes, because DS can't be crashing and burning academically due to staying late 2 days a week. He said if DS needs to go home to do homework to just let him know. But we won't know that in advance.:confused3 We never know from one day to the next how much homework DS will have. The director said the intermediate drummers are not performing at an appropriate level, so he has decided to see if he can get the beginners up to an intermediate level for some upcoming concerts. I suppose this should make me feel good, since he apparently thinks DS has potential. :) So we shall see how things progress.

I've got your back! :thumbsup2

The CB is a scary place. Maybe one of them escaped over to Resorts!:scared1:
Is she in Plano? I need to find one at Presby Dallas so I'm not making that trek every 3 months.

No, I've seen this woman around the resorts board plenty. There are actually several that are somewhat snarky and negative over there, whom I usually just ignore, but she somewhat attacked me directly, so I felt like giving it back. :rolleyes1

She's at Baylor Dallas, and her office is nearby.

Link, please! :yay:

Hmm. Baylor isn't my usual stomping ground. Is her office easily accessible? Perhaps just PM her name to me and I will see if she is on my insurance!
