Hi Ya'll,

I went to the Dr yesterday and got some meds. Yeah the flu bug got me. Spent all night coughing. Hope this goes away soon. I want to be able to watch two of my grandsons on Thursday.

As for the neighbor situation, you just keep your inner instincts going. What you did was not wrong. As the years progress, the kids will probably tell you that they hate you because you do not like some of their friends or the decisions they make, but you are the boss and mother and you and John make the decisions and pay the bills, not them.

I surely hope that you can get some help from the Webkins sight. Keep at it.


We all have our inner strengths and they get better as the kids grow. I have been right with my instincts as far as my kids and their friends go over the years. Some I liked instantly and others I could not stand and was usually right. They constantly tell me about the times I acted like a very mad mother lion but was right in the end. Only you will know in your heart you are right.

I can still remember when I met Guenna's DH for the first time, I knew he was a good person and kept talking about him to her. It took ten years and a few other relationships but they finally got together and now have been married for six years.

I just called Disney to ask about adding Dining Plan. I could add it to our Bounce Back room without losing the room discount BUT it would still require purchasing park passes. The CM actually told me it sounded like I would be better off with DDE!

I asked her if there were any other discounts that might be better than the ones I had that would offset the cost of the Dining Plan, but there was nothing. I mentioned that I didn't NEED park passes because we have APs. That was when she said it sounded like the DDE would be a far better choice!

Figuring in the park passes and the DxDDP we would be looking at $242 per day to add the plan! There is NO WAY we would spend that much on food with the DDE! It's a shame all my other trip stuff is done so I have nothing to do besides hem and haw about this!

This rumor of the DDP for AP members is interesting. I'm confident the DDE is still a better deal for us, so I'm not that interested. I would MUCH prefer a decent discount on the room!

Well, as Elizabeth eluded to, our weather in Big D today is certainly not ideal. Cold and VERY rainy. My body seems to automatically wake up now at 5:30, and I laid awake for almost an hour watching the lightning storm and listening to the rain. We do need the rain, so I guess there will be something good to come of it. The weatherman was predicting hail and strong winds for this afternoon last night, but right now, it's just kind of drizzly.

We had to take and drop my car off at the dealership this morning - some part of my OnStar equipment has to be upgraded. On the way home, we stopped for Chik-Fil-A for breakfast - YUMMY!

Now, just catching up on things, and I think I'm going to call and finally get my dining plans for May readjusted. Other than that, I also need to do some house cleaning today (ugh, but it needs it). Tonight, we're going to go to dinner for Valentine's Day - there is some place near downtown that Jonathan just loves (they serve lots of wild game, etc.). I found that they participate in the Restaurants.com gift certficiates, and back when they were running a ridiculous promo in Jan., I got some $25 gc's for $5! So, even if I'm not a huge fan, at least we won't be shelling out a lot of our own $$!

We also found out last night that Jonathan got a big work assignment he was going for. It's a pretty big deal as far as company-wide exposure and advancement goes, and they only select one person nation-wide to do it. I'm very proud of him, although it means I won't see a lot of him for the next month or two!

Much to DS's chagrin we are finished with his closet. And he hasn't outgrown very much, which is good because I won't have to buy very much. We still need to go through his drawers but most of his clothes are in the closet so the majority is done.

DH is on his way home. He is picking up McDonald's for lunch. Hmm. Guess I won't be losing any weight today, either. Which seems to be happening to me EVERY day, for the most part.

I am looking high and low for info on the AP DDP and so far I am coming up with NOTHING.
