DDA Chapter 4

:rotfl:

Thanks. My family is doing lots of this  and this :snooty: about our name choice:

Noah

Middle name still not 100% decided
I like Noah. It was in the running for Nicholas. I just couldn't get past hearing myself yelling "NO, NO, NOAH!" :rotfl:

Sounds like some nice weekends and busy ones.

Tammi and Theresa - take it easy when you can.

Jennifer and Janet - enjoy your short trips.

Happy Birthday, Leighanna!!!

My presence is being requested in the living room to play with my girl so I'm off. Have a nice night everyone and I'll be back later.

Well, you would certainly know, Denise. I wish you had better news today from the ENT. Good thoughts for the neuro appt.
So sorry you didn't find out anything concrete. :wizard: for better news with the neuro.

Oh, I think it looks like so much fun! Can you imagine being up there at night, with the piano playing (on a distant crane :rotfl: )?!

It would have to be a nice evening, of course, but I'd totally be there!

Me too! I think it would be a cool experience.

No big plans for us that I know of. I think that Terra and I are going to stay at Kristi's tomorrow night so that Kristi and Chris can go to amovie and the kids can have a sleepover. How about you?
No plans here--I was supposed to go out tonight but cancelled--i think im just going to hang in this weekend

I thought I would post one of my photopass pictures. I had to cut off poor Walt to get Joe out of the photo but I still like it.

LOVE IT! beautiful!

We just got back from the mall. I had to get to Payless for their b1g1 sale. I was able to get Nicholas 2 pair of church shoes, one black and one brown. I got Alyssa her Easter shoes, as well as a pair of colored canvass slip-ons. We checked Macy's, Sears and Belk for a suit or sport coat for Nicholas for his 1st Communion. The 8s are snug and short in the sleeves and the 10s he swims in. Either way he looks ridiculous. I found a nice one I liked a Belk but it was Claiborne and $85. Um, NOT for a suit coat he will wear once!

Theresa - Now I need a nap. You wear me out!

I am babysitting tomorrow night for the family I know from the synagogue. Other than that I don't have weekend plans.

I do need to go back to the Galleria at some point. I bought a Crocs messenger bag at Christmas. I noticed it has a strange odor - like mildew or something. I unzipped all the pockets and have had it hanging in my bathroom for several weeks hoping to air it out, but no luck. I sprayed it with Febreze but the fabric is nylon or something so it doesn't really penetrate. I think it might just be the way the fabric smells, but it is gross. I stopped at the Crocs kiosk and smelled the bags - they all smell that way.:scared: The backpacks don't smell. The lady said I can exchange the bag for another style, which is wonderful because I figured I was going to be stuck with a stinky bag.

Becky got a backpack made out of an old Cirque du Soleil tent. It smells awful. She was just telling me the other day she is hoping to find a way to get rid of the smell so that she can use it for our trip next week. I hope we can find something to get it smelling better. It cost a lot of money for her not to use it.

I don't think the ENT had a clue. Said it could be xx. John, the tests were run and it's not. See the paperwork? ENT, oh, yeah. Uh... maybe it's a yeast infection on your tongue. Go get this filled. See me in 2 weeks. John, yeah, right...

Neuro is next Thursday. Maybe they'll have a clue? Can you tell I'm frustrated?

That's too bad. I was hoping you'd get some answers soon. :grouphug:

After 54 1/2 years I think my sister would still like to get rid of my little brother too! :rotfl:

BTW - that is my "little" brother towering over everyone else in the family photo below... ;)

I'm 5'5", my little brother is 6' and my little sister is 5'9".

Jennifer and Channon I would gladly join you for a dinner in the sky. That looks really neat.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Amy- Of course Alyssa likes her little brother Noah as he is not yet stealing her toys or getting in her way.  Congrats I am sure she will love Noah and deep down loves Matthew whether they fight all the time or not.:cloud9: I hope Kevin feels better soon and that it does not recycle through your family.

Denise- :wizard: :wizard: that they figure out what is wrong with John.:grouphug:

Speaking of cell phones, does anyone have any recommendations for a Verizon cell phone?? I have been playing this indecisive game for many, many months about what I want. I really need to make up my mind.

Today I was lazy watched some TV, napped, and did some homework.

As for my weekend I am supposed to do breakfast Saturday, then I have a Thinking Day event from 10am-2pm. Since I will probably help clean up it will probably be about 4pm by the time I get home. I will probably come home and do homework or something. Its theme is famous women who have changed the world.

Sunday I have another Thinking Day event to go to. This one is from 2-4pm. I wish they were both the same day, so I would have the day off but that is not the case. They are having a bag piper, some dancers and some other neat stuff.

For those who do not know. Today February 22nd is Thinking Day. Thinking Day is a day when guides and scouts are supposed to think about their fellow scouts and guides around the world. February 22nd was the mutual birthday of Husband and wife Lord Baden Powell and his wife Olave. Lord Baden Powell founded Boy Scouting and Olave started Girl Guides in England. Often this day is celebrated with Internationally themed events.

Happy Thinking Day!

I love the clipart on this. Happy Thinking Day! How bad of me. That is the first time in at least 10 years that I forgot totally about it. Thanks for the reminder. What a bad Lifetime Member I am. :confused3 :lmao:

I love the name Nicholas that's why I have a Nicky Mouse. I was going to be named Nicholas had I been a boy and I didn't know that when I wanted to use it. Chuck's nephew is Nicholas so we couldn't use it. Good thing we had girls! Katrina would have been Eric if she had been a boy. Then Chuck's 2nd nephew was born and he was named Eric John (Chuck's middle name). We hadn't decided for Becky. It was between Zachary Ray (middle name for my grandfather and father - that was their middle name but Grandpa was called Ray) or Charles John (after Chuck of course but neither of us really wanted a Jr. but we couldn't come up with anything else). It was hard coming up with names because I didn't want to use a first name after anyone in our families. Considering that my dad has 12 brothers and sisters and my mother has 8, I have lots & lots of names that I can't use!

Robyn, great start on your TR. We are enjoying it! Leighanna misses her friends!

Amy, congrats on the new little boy! And I like the name Noah!

Tomorrow is Leighanna's birthday, so hopefully the weather will cooperate, and a few out of town guests will be able to get here!

I still can't believe that my baby will be 6 tomorrow!:sad2:

Denise, sorry that you don't have a confirmed diagnoses for John yet! That has to be so frustrating!

Jennifer, have a safe trip!

I know I have missed alot! We are starting to feel a little better, but not 100% yet!

Have a great weekend all!

Happy Birthday to Leighanna! :goodvibes

I know that I was going to be Steven if I was a boy. If Nicholas was going to be a girl he would have been Brittany. Then the whole Britney Spear pandamonia took off and we dropped that name and went with Alyssa. If Alyssa was a boy she was probably going to be Connor.

:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: they did the test on shocker and it didnt work. the doctor said that 50% of dogs dont work out so not to be worried. so they are going to start her on the meds and hope she response. so here i am crying again. i want her back so bad but i know i am being selfish and need to think about her. if she doesnt respond i guess we have to put her down. i hate it because she is still her sweet self wagging tail, giving kisses and alert and wanting to walk.:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :worried:

It's always interesting to hear what others would have been named.
